I have four boys that attend this office. My oldest is 11 years old, so we've witnessed a lot of the changes that has taken place. Dr. Goodwin is the absolute best pediatrician! The problem has come into place since they've changed front desk staff. A lady by the name of Lisa has joined and has been extremely rude and distasteful. I called a week ago trying to get a sick appointment for my infant and there were no appointments available.
Which is totally understandable. I mentioned I would be taken my child to the urgent care (5/25) to be seen but they mentioned I had to have permission from his doctors office because they are on his insurance card. This lady immediately shut me down when I called and pretty said I was lying. Needless to say urgent care did see him. Well fast forward to today June 1.
I called because even after giving him the medicine it has been two weeks since we've noticed his symptoms. So as a concerned parent I decided to schedule a appointment. I call in Lisa answers and I tell her I'd like to make a sick appointment. So told me that I'd have to speak with a nurse first. I inform her on the voicemail it states if I feel like my child need appointment, it say to schedule one while waiting.
She immediately says that's not what it say and she transferred me over anyways. I call her back and tell her I need to get an appointment. Didn't have to be today but I need him to be seen. She immediately got defensive and I told her she hasn't been any help since I've called last week and she hung up the phone after saying "Oh, really!" Even though my four boys have been here for years. Today made me think it's time to move on!

Northlake Children's Associates are the best hands down! I love the fact that they will treat at other nearby hospitals other than Lake Norman. They have taken good care of my boys as well as my nephew and niece. My niece was born premature and received the best care possible. Thank you Dr. James for always taking care of my family!

My youngest recently aged out of the practice.it was so sad! My boys were 1 and 3 when we found Dr. James. She took excellent care of them, all the way through, until they left for college. We all adore her, and the office staff is fantastic, too! There is virtually no waiting in the waiting room, ever! The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and caring. The providers are dedicated and knowledgable. I can't say enough good things.give the gift of this wonderful practice to your children.you won't regret it!

I'm still very disappointed in my girls visit. Arrived early one patient in the waiting room. Understand that my appt. Was for 2:40 checked my girls out of school to make this appt. After sitting and waiting everyone that came in that office after 2:40 went to back at least six people unless all of these people were seeing Dr.mack there's no excuse.the front office staff sucks 1st time experience this there but no more. New doctor will not put up with that type of service.front office needs revamping. Pw
