Elmhurst Memorial Hospital

I had a good experience. I was very nervous but the nurses taking care of me made me feel as relaxed as they could. The procedure was a little delayed because of an emergency, but I was kept informed. All the way through the procedure I was given good care. I want to thank Jen, McKenzie, Stephanie, Kim, Camille, and Dr Stephan for everything they did that day (I hope I didn't leave anyone out). They were all very attentive and caring to my needs.

I just want to say that I travel 70 min to get to Edwards hospital and know it's well worth the time. The entire staff are great!. The hospital has valet parking which is awesome for the mature patients that go here, let alone the younger crowd. The staff that check you in are so pleasant and polite it so nice. The nurses that prep and care for patients are like god sent.

Please keep up the high quality of nurses that you have. The doctors are also very polite and professional which gives a patient comfort. Everyone that I came into contact with are very professional and pleasant. The hospital inside is well kept, neat and clean to a very high standard. The cleaning staff do an excellent job on maintaining the cleanliness of the inside areas. Please keep the high standard for this hospital, everything about it is the best. I can't say enough good about this place.

I was a patient at Edward for 6 days as a result of emergency surgery. My surgeon did a great job and had a great bedside manner. I felt that he and the hospitalists provided great care. The majority of the nurses and techs were caring, helpful, patient and competent. However, there were two techs that were very slow to respond to my "call light" for help or did not show up at all.

My private room and bathroom was very nice but housekeeping did not keep them clean during my stay. There were dirty towels piled up for days, overflowing trash cans many days and dirty containers in the bathroom daily. More time needs to be spent in the patient rooms keeping them clean. So great staff but unacceptable level of cleanliness in the rooms.

I was at Edward hospital for a hysterectomy. The surgery went well. But the after care was not okay. When I got put in a room an had my own nurses. Many of them didn't help or even hear about the pain. They only helped me once in the morning to get up an moving. I got more help an show hospital from the dietary aid then my nurses. I also asked if my doc was coming in.

He didn't an they didn't let me know till 2pm then discarded me. I was left in a gown an told I can leave. Not one nurse came in to help me get dressed or ready to leave. I was not supposed to be bending over at all. An they just left me to fend for myself. I have been a quite a few hospitals an never been treated like I dont matter.

All the nurses and staff were friendly and kind. They all took great care of me. I spoke with my doctor and anesthesiologist before my procedure. That was comforting. Thank you to all the staff, nurses and doctors who put their lives on the line everyday to help others. I am grateful and appreciate all of your care!

I was very pleased with how caring the nurses and techs and everyone even the food staff were. I was in fir an infectious disease and they had to protect themselves with full garb every time they came in which unfortunately happened a lot with an IV pump going off on one side and heart monitor on the other and usually in the middle of the night. But they always had time to do what was needed and were always very polite. the day nurses were especially knowledgeable about what was going on and kept me in the loop! Loved them all!

I recently went to Edward's Hospital for a medical procedure. The plan was to stay overnight and be released the next day. Unfortunately my body had other plans and threw in some complications. Every single person I had contact with from the nurses, nurses aides, doctors, specialists and even the kitchens staff were fabulous! Everyone was extremely concerned with my well-being and privacy.

I received exceptional care from everyone who worked with me. They made what could have been a very anxiety filled 4 days into 4 calm and relaxing days. My biggest issue was boredom as I hadn't been prepared to stay so long. Great job everyone!

I wish there was an option for an eighth of a star, because these people do not deserve a whole star. A lot of the staff at this hospital are extremely rude and do not care for their patients. I was treated like an animal rather than a human being at this hospital. I warned the staff who put in my IV not to fish around, as it was painful, if they couldn't find a vein and to just restart the process.

They ignored me countless times after asking them to stop and restart the process. It was as if I wasn't speaking English the whole time. Also a few times I would press the call button on the remote for a nurse to come and would hear nurses casually having conversations and laughing outside by my door while the beeping sound, my call, at the nurses center was going off.

Do not go to this hospital if you have other options. Even if you feel as if you are dying try to stay strong and go to another hospital. As for the positive, I had a few nurses, Sheyla being one of them, who were super nice to me and knew what they were doing. The transport people were also very friendly as well.

Amazing hospital staff. Our first delivery went so smooth. The team after was incredible. They really take the time to teach you and prepare you for what the baby needs. The night staff was especially incredible. We really felt taken care of and 100% recommend to family and friends.

I found this hospital while looking for a midwife unit that offered a water birth and nitrous oxide and I'm so glad I decided to come here! The hospital is very new/updated. And everyone has been very kind and they try to accommodate you the best they can. The midwives and nurses really took the time to listen to your concerns and explain things to you clearly.

My birth was amazing and Julie was my attending midwife, I cannot say enough good things about my experience! We were very well cared for in our two day stay and all the services they offer and attention they give you and your baby made us feel very welcome and safe. Our babies pediatrician DR. Anderson has also been very informative and helpful!
