We are a family based (father and son) ophthalmology practice which has served the west side of Chicago and near western suburbs for over 50 years. Our practice specializes in surgery and diseases of the eye. We examine and treat patients of all ages and we prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses.

Services
Dr. James McCarthy completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic and the Cook County Hospital (Chicago). He received his medical school degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. James McCarthy has been in practice for over 50 years. He specializes in General Ophthalmology, diagnosing and treating medical disease of the eye.
We are contracted providers for Medicare, Medicaid (Public Aid), and most insurance plans. After your examination, we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier. You may be responsible for a "co-payment" at the time of your visit. Your insurance card will usually indicate the amount of "co-payment" usually between $10 -$60, depending on your plan.

I order some Versace frames from McCarthy Eye Center it has not been a whole year and they have broken. I called and spoke with a person whom advise it will not be a problem they will order me a new frame it will be ready in two weeks. They call me back 3 hours later to tell me they cannot order me a new frame, I will need to purchase them on my own. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
