Probably the most arrogant, rude, inappropriate doctor I've ever encountered, and I've had a cascade of injuries that led me to him. I don't mind if a Dr isn't warm and fuzzy but this guy is on a whole different level, borderline abusive. It cost me $150 for a consultation where I was not only accused of not answering his questions well enough, his words were "all over the place" but also asked if I was single or had children which has NOTHING to do with my foot. Stay far away from this office, I couldn't wait to get out of there.

After consulting with 5 bunion specialists including Kaiser where everybody told me they would have to freeze my toe joint in order to fix my drifting big toe, I went to Dr. Moy. He had a technic that nobody else came up with. It worked and I can't thank him enough. Dr. Moy is the most creative and best foot surgeon in the field. His surgeries are pain free but of course physical therapy is recommended to keep the toe from stiffening up.

I was thrilled walking up to 5 miles in the Alpes after 4 months. The office is spotless and his stuff very pleasant and well trained. I would not think twice to recommend Dr. Moy to all my friends and relatives.

Dr. Moy bragged excessively how he performs bunion surgery better than other Doctor. I had bunion surgery (wish I never did it). Years later I still cannot walk in heels (I could before), he made my big toe go outward instead of inward. This caused my whole foot to land wrong when I walk. My big toe no longer touches the ground and now I have a callus on the other side of my foot that is painful.

My foot is wider due to my toes being pushed outward. My whole foot is "off". When I had my second surgery to fix the first, he had another Dr in room and tried to charge my insurance company for 2 doctors. They said "no", not a 2 doctor procedure. He seems to have a system to bill insurance as much as possible and made my foot much much worse.

If you're considering using Dr. Moy, I highly recommend him. I just got home from a little surgical procedure at his office, and just had to write a quick review. Truly amazing Dr., top notch from the moment I entered to when I left! Pretty sure he has some angel wings under those scrubs! Just wish life could be as easy and pain-free as my procedure performed by Dr. Moy!

I broke my foot and was debating surgery. I lost my balance two weeks later and ended up re-injuring it which lead me to the decision of having surgery. So now I have two screws in my foot. Dr. Moy was so great and took care of me and I was not nervous at all. My surgery went smoothly and I had no pain. I was only prescribed an anti inflammatory and antibiotic.

I would highly recommend him if you are in need of any kind of foot surgery! Six months later I'm having no issues at all. Oh and his staff is amazingly sweet and helpful.

I'm so sad and disappointed at the results from my surgery. My foot looks great but feels horrible. over two years post surgery. I haven't reviewed until now because I wanted to give it enough time to properly heal. I'm in as much pain as I was Pre surgery, just in a totally different way. There's no way I could ever hike or even take a long walk with the pain i have.

I opted for the "pain free surgery" that Dr. Moy advertises, and while the surgery was pain free it has been nothing but pain since then. I had to have s second surgery to remove the screw he put in for surgery, which they never even mentioned might be a possibility. Whenever I let them know how much pain I was in, Dr. Moy didn't really seem to listen and just gave me cocky answers. I want to have my foot looked at and fixed but I will certainly be going to another doctor. So upsetting

Had bunion surgery do over from another Dr. By Dr. Moy in 2011 on one foot. He promised virtually pain free and he delivered. I hesitated after first surgery to have it redone because of the severe pain and long recovery on pain meds. I was blown away at how pain free it was. He really keeps his promise I had one toe shortened and screws in two toes.

It has been seven years and I have had no problems whatsoever. I would do it again in a heartbeat. He is everything he says and he gave me a perfect foot again. What have you got to lose? Trust him. I tell everyone how good he is. His clinic and staff are top notch!

Maybe Dr Moy is a great podiatrist, maybe not.but I'll never know because he doesn't accept MEDICARE even with the best supplemental BLUE SHIELD insurance. So I guess he doesn't need senior business. His office stall encouraged me to "SELF PAY" and my hammertoe surgery could be done in 2-3 weeks.no thanks!

I'm in the beginning stages of searching for a podiatrist to remove my bunion. Upon calling Dr. Moys office I was told there'd be a consultation fee of $150 which would not go towards surgery. And no PPO accepted. Lots and lots of good doctors out there with much friendlier people answering their phones as well as no charge consultations. Why would anyone choose to go here?

I had my left bunion surgically corrected by Dr Moy 4 years ago and I it was completely painless and exactly as described. The scar is unnoticeable and my foot looks beautiful; I am able to wear everything from ballet flats to high heels with no discomfort! I'm going back to have my right foot done this year. I would not have any other Dr perform this surgery!

So I don't know what happened to my review I posted over a year ago but whatever Yelp. Also, why people are complaining about a free consultation beats me. I went to his practice expecting to pay for his professional opinion and I did. If I expected opinions for free then I would have googled or yelped it. I came in with no insurance for a broken toe. Dr Moy was very knowledgeable and passionate about my Big toe healing properly unlike Emergencare.

I wish I had come here first instead of going to the other place across the plaza. Dr Moy. Went above and beyond my expectations and he and his staff are professional, personable, courteous, extraordinary, and all have integrity. After searching for my post to update but it was not here, I saw some negative posts so here is my conclusion. People need to stop being so quick to leave negative comments and expecting things for free. Update: My big toe has healed wonderfully and if I or anyone that I know has any foot related issues I have and will recommend Dr. Moy on every occasion.

If I could not give a star I wouldn't. I have never been treated in such an uncaring way as I have with Dr. Moy. I have had three unsuccessful surgeries by Dr. Moy. All of which I paid out of pocket well over $11,000. My feet are FAR more painful then before the surgery. I've visited three orthopedists to gather information on how to correct my feet and eliminate the pain.

All three gave me the same diagnosis. A diagnosis that Dr. Moy never offered. I have asked many times for a partial refund, so I can get the corrective surgery I need. Not only did Dr. Moy refuse any kind of refund he also refused to help in any way. His only offer was to provide orthotics. I will never recommend Dr. Moy again. I would suggest some serious shopping around before signing up with Dr. Moy.

Update from review of 09/12/16. Please be cautious when agreeing to how much you're responsible for paying. Dr. Moy was "out of network" with Blue Shield. Penny Brock, who handles the insurance claims for Dr. Moy, told me that the most I would have to pay out of pocket inclusive of everything would be $5,500.00 regardless of what my insurance covered.

I have been receiving invoices for surgical supplies, anesthesiologists, etc. threatening to send me to collections if I don't pay. Additionally, I had to have a third surgery with another podiatrist to correct my issue. After the first two surgeries with Dr. Moy, my condition went from limitus (limited movement) to rigidus (no movement). This caused me to incur even more expenses to remedy the pain in my foot. I cannot express how much I regret having gone to Dr. Moy. It's only caused me a great deal of pain and money.

I booked an appointment for my wife since she was suffering from pain in her ankle. The booking etc went ok. I was not present for the appointment, but in the words of my wife - Dr Moy was soporific at best. He did not explain what was going on and what could be done. She asked him, are there any exercises she can do? And she got a "meh" response.

The worst was this: After the appointment, the front office staff appeared furtive. They took her into a separate room and told her she owed $150 since Dr Moy was out of network. I would've expected the Doctor's staff to clear that up front *before* the visit and before the x-rays. Thank you for dinging us, Dr Moy. We're not going to see you again or recommend you.

Came in for an ingrown nail removal a couple of weeks ago. starting off the front desk was amazing scheduling me in as quickly as they did, Richard Moy went out of his way to fit the procedure in the same day I first arrived which I greatly appreciated. I've had this procedure done once before in the past with another doctor, in comparison to that Dr. Moy came across as extremely knowledgeable and professional, explaining the process and making me feel very comfortable.

The procedure itself ended up being swift and completely painfree. Dr. Moy clearly takes pride in ensuring patient comfort. I would definitely go out of my way to return if I were to ever have something more severe.

Two orthopaedic surgeons told me they did notrecommend surgically removing neuromas because they tend to come back. I went to Dr. Moy, who removed the neuroma successfully, plus did a bunionectomy and two hammertoes. NEVER had one iota of pain, drove myself to work the next day and from then on. Highly successful surgery, no pain --- ever His surgical suite and PAWS system actually made it a MOST PLEASANT experience!

Four years later my husband has now had a bunionectomy and arthritic build-up removal on the top of his big toe, and has had the same positive experience that I did. Cannot recommend him highly enough. Have referred many people to him.

I suffered a displaced fracture of the fibula in a skiing mishap. Drs. Moy and Lee performed an open reduction and internal fixation (plate, screws). I was off ALL pain medication within 48 hours and back at work within a week. Dr. Moy is an exceptionally skilled surgeon backed by a crack team. I would trust him with any further needs I or my family might ever have.

My sister lives in SoCal and recommended Dr. Moy. With directions from the Dr. and his kind, competent staff I was able to complete the necessary work prior to surgery as I live in N.CA. I had never had any medical work completed outside my insurance network--let alone from such a distance. I am home now healing and feeling confident the final results will be outstanding. I will be following all his very specific directions so that my outcome will be as amazing as my sister's.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Moy is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable surgeon however after my consultation I will not be getting my surgery done here. I came into the consultation without receiving prior notice that it was a group consultation until I and several other patients were herded into a room to view a presentation and video.

The presentation was presented by Dr. Moy and instead of providing information it came off as an advertising speal about his skill set and prerequisities as a surgeon. I noticed if anyone raised questions during the presentation or video Dr. Moy would ask them to wait until the end to ask them which was irritating because the point of a consultation is to get questions answered. Afterwards came the examinations and Dr. Moy called each patient into the room one by room to examine their case.

As soon as I sat down in the patient chair Dr. Moy examined my feet and recited notes to his assistant who was writing them down. The exam took about 2 minutes and before I could ask any questions I was ushered out back into the waiting room. HE DID NOT ONCE LOOK ME IN THE EYE DURING THE ENTIRE EXAMINATION. SUMMARY: He's obviously a very skilled surgeon however the extremely impersonal and rushed office experience eliminated the trust I need to feel with my surgeon before I put my health in their hands.
