Laguna Woods Dermatology offers a full array of dermatological services to help you maintain healthy skin. Acne is the most frequent skin condition seen by medical professionals. It consists of pimples that appear on the face, back and chest. About 80% of adolescents have some form of acne and about 5% of adults experience acne.

We accept most traditional insurance plans. Please contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Qualifications for insurance coverage may differ due to the uniqueness of each procedure. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dermatologist.

I have been going to Dr Bassler for several years now, and Dr Algarin has performed a couple of surgical procedures. I absolutely would not go anywhere else (no matter what my insurance does). The treatment has always been top notch and the attitudes of everyone, doctors and staff, has always been cheerful and pleasant.

These two Doctors are amazing! I come from New Zealand where Melanoma is a very real threat and I trust Dr Bassler to check me every year. Last visit he looked at my nose and said: I think you have Rosacea. Well he was 100 percent right! I have had a red nose for about 10 years and my wife always made fun. it was Rosacea! I have been applying the cream and the redness has gone. Amazing. My nose is the same color as my face!
