I see the reviews saying long wait times. My experience was the same. Probably 1/2 hour late. That said, once in the room he gave me all of the attention and time that I needed, almost to the point that I felt guilty. A few extra minutes with each patient can add up, but those few extra minutes sure means allot to each one! He is certainly not of the mold of the Plastic Surgeons on TV, but for me I felt comfortable from the time that I met him. Also, his support staff are rock stars!

If I could choose zero stars, I would have. I originally scheduled a consultation for a breast reduction in December, and when I showed up for the appointment I was told that he was running behind. I had another appointment, so I rescheduled for today. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment and was told that he wasn't there yet, so he would likely be running a few minutes behind. Ok. Fine. Whatever. 45 minutes later, I told his receptionist to let him know that I'll be finding another surgeon.
Just because you make more money than I do, doesn't mean my time isn't valuable. Then the receptionist says, "But he's here now." Good, then you can tell him where to shove his 45 minute wait time.

Absolutely the most unprofessional plastic surgeon ever. I had some work done on my stomach I asked him about something I was concerned about and his comment was "are you going to make me wish I hadn't done this procedure on you". a client of mine had him do a face lift and he messed her eye up so badly that she couldn't even close it. She had to go to Iowa city to have it fixed. It's time for dr Vander see to through in the towel and retire!

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. VanderZee. I had a breast reduction after suffering from terrible backaches for nearly 30 years. I told him at my last follow up appointment, " I know it's just another day at work for you, but you have changed my life, and I couldn't be happier with the results."
