Since 1900, the Sisters of Mercy - guided by their vow "to care for the poor and for the sick" - established Mercy Hospital and laid the foundation for The Mercy Touch. Although the faces and technologies have changed throughout the years, our vision and mission still reflect our commitment to continuing the Sisters' work today and for years in the future.

To care for the sick and enhance the health of the communities we serve, guided by the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy. The ICARE values define how we perform work and conduct ourselves with each other and our patients.

I have had great care for the most part (a couple of heinous issues). Since 2014 I have had 25 cardioversions and 3 ablations and 2 visits via ambulance for vertigo. My husband has had his gallbladder removed, a leg amputated, a stent put in for kidney stones, and was ttreated there for a stroke. Can't begin to imagine our billlable hours there. I will be paying til I die. Most recently I went to ER for wicked stomach pains. After 2 hours of unbearable pain a doctor came in. The care was so pitiful I left without being treated.

Would have preferred that my grandmother's last few days were spent at a hospital that treated her with dignity and respect. Huge inconsistencies amongst staff and hospital "policies" in a matter of days. Missteps were constantly blamed on shift changes and being short staffed. There was no accountability amongst the care team, other than pointing the finger at other staff members for glaring issues and miscommunication in my grandmother's care. Mercy is more deserving of a zero-star rating if that were an option.

This was my "room" after w all tong to be seen for 3 hours. "Kristen Walker" came & seen me for a total of 2 minutes "the song in my earbuds started before she came & was still playing when she left". She listened to my breathing. Pushed on my upper back for a moment then gave me a prescription for muscle relaxers when I am visiting about a cough & shortness of breath.

There are patients next to me in the "Hallway room" I can hear every personal detail of their visit as they can mine & Kristen was very rude when I wanted her to explain my diagnoses, she walked away from me & stated "She's done explaining she will put the order in use it or don't she doesn't care". I'm not one to take drugs, definitely not comfortable taking drugs when I haven't been properly examined.

They have no respiratory panels they can only test for covid & influenza. Nothing else. No rooms, no manners & no equipment. Would not recommend this hospital or MsKRISTEN WALKER

The finance department of mercy medical is very rude and disrespectful! I called about 2 charges that were on my account that should be been submitted to the insurance company but they failed to do their job correctly. when I called i first spoke with a women that was very disrespectful. I asked to speak with a supervisor and spoke with a male named CHRIS!

When I explained to him why I was calling he was very rude and disrespectful and said that they dont make mistakes. I have been with mercy since i was 6 years old. NOW TIME TO SWITCH TO UNITY POINT

Treatment is expensive. And when health insurance plans don't pay, patients are left with burdensome bills. For covid test, they charged $450 which we can do that ourselves with Antigen Self test kit with 10$.

"Catholic" is probably not to be applied here. It is a great sorrow to write this. During the pandemic there was refusal to allow a priest to give last rites at the end of July 2020. As well as the Eucharist being administered by a person who openly said they could not say "the body of Christ". Because it wasn't their belief. Im not sure anyone there with any say is committed to following any set of difficult beliefs.

I was encouraged to write the bishop but was afraid of someone not responsible for it being blamed. I do believe there are people who care, just not many people take seriously the care of a soul close to death. Or the Body of Christ. The fundamentals must be correct in order for the rest to operate properly.

Emergency Room doctors are incompetent. Treated my daughter three times with stomach issues. Could not find anything wrong with her. She had severe vomiting and horrible stomach pain. Took her to her family doctor and he said he thought it was her Gallbladder He sent her to a specialist and it's confirmed it's her Gallbadder. Surgery in 10 days. She has suffered for two months with this

Used to be great. Recently my mother had some issues and they misdiagnosed her and sent her home in really bad shape. We took her back and they wanted to isolate us from seeing her. Pulled her out of Mercy and put her at St. Lukes and the cooperation of the medical staff and the care she is receiving seems to be night and day different.

Although I was vaccinated, I came down with Covid related pneumonia and had to be hospitalized in the Covid area. I'll admit I was so sick I don't remember too much about the first few days. After that I definitely remember the wonderful care I received. All the nurses and staff were so kind and helpful. There isn't a thing I would change regarding the care I received. Love Mercy Hospital!

They are really great when you take your kids in to be seen so they get 5 stars for that but when it seems to come to adults they dont seem to try as much. I went in a few weeks ago multiple times. They kept telling me nothing was wrong with my foot so I went to another hospital and got a second opinion. Come to find out I should of been wearing a boot and was sent to a foot specialist to find out I had a torn tendon in my foot. So I think Mercy could do a better job at treating their patients properly.
