I've been a CNA for about 12 years and been in the medical field for over 25 years because of my sick brother and mother I had to take care of until they passed! But I got really sick lately and had a catheter put in about 12 days ago at a ER. Called this urologist to get it removed and they told me yes but I gotta wait a couple more days to get in.

But then I get a call from them 5 mins before they closed the day before and told me I have to remove my own catheter at home and then come in. I have never ever heard of anything like that in my life. Usually u have to go to a nurse or doc to remove a catheter cause I don't have the stuff to do it properly and it's unsanitary to just cut the cord and yank it out as they put it with not much direction.

I can seriously hurt myself if I do it wrong. That's why I wanted a professional to do it. But I guess I'm more Qualified than them or they are just lazy pieces of shit up here in Springfield OR. I might as well not even go to them and pay money if I have to do it all myself. Anyways I would not recommend this place at all. Go to Eugene or a different city! Thanks for letting me vent!

Jessica Lloyd, MD has been my Urologist for 2 years and is amazing. No one could figure out my pelvic pain. I was miserable. So much pain. I cried in her office. She was the kindest and best physician I have dealt with. She has properly diagnosed me and given me relief. Her nurse was excellent too. Who has ever said "I love my Urologist?" Well. I have! Thank you Oregon Urology for having this kind doctor!

Caring, knowledgeable, patient staff. Of course, I had Problems with insurance coverage but alternative ideas were offered that may be covered. Keeping that 5th star until the outcome.

I have seen both Connie Dimarco and Dawn Bodell at Oregon Urology. I am impressed with the quality of both physicians. I have also found them to be extremely compassionate- concerned not only with the physical aspect of care but of the whole person. I highly recommend them to others.

Focused on one issue and not my many others. So insurance denied it. Have asked my Dr. for a referral to another urologist so we can actually deal with all issues. They did lower the visit cost just refused to change coding so insurance would actually cover the billing. Easy to try and find a location that will focus on all aspects of my health

Super nice but getting them to return a call to set up a surgery is ridiculous. I went and got approval from the surgeon they picked out and after a month I had to call them to figure out when I was going to have surgery. Month 2 and still waiting for a phone call the schedule it! I didn't pick this office, my primary set it up.

My experience with OUI is a positive one for sure. The nurses are caring and compassionate and the doctors are very smart in their approach but also easy to understand. I always knew where we were at with my treatment. They are life savers in every aspect.

I just recently became a new patient at Oregon Urology unexpectedly due to a sudden illness. I don't have the words to adequately express how wonderful they are. Everyone from the front desk, billing, to the nursing, and physicians have been outstanding. They have gone the extra mile to help me deal with a very uncomfortable time in my life, and I am SO GRATEFUL that they are my urology practice.

I have forty years in the medical field, and I KNOW good care when I am receiving it. My family and I are blessed and grateful to have such good care.highly recommend if you are in need of excellent urology care

So I was referred here because I have a kidney stone to large to pass on its own. My area doesn't have a urologist. So this location is the closest at a two and a half hour drive. My initial appointment was good, I was very impressed with the doctor and was excited that I had been referred to this place. When I left they told me they would call me to schedule the surgery to remove the kidney stone in the next couple of days.

Two weeks later I finally called them to see about scheduling my surgery. I waited on the phone to speak to someone for about 45 minutes, they apologized for taking so long and said the scheduler would call me back later that day or the next day, she did not. A week later I called again. The automated phone service said I could hang up and they would call me back at the number I had called on when my turn in the que came up, that never happened.

A few days later I called them back. I waited almost an hour to get a hold of someone, explained the situation and they transferred me to the surgery scheduler, she didn't answer her phone, the message said she would call me back as soon as she was back in the office. A week later I called them back. They again transferred me to the surgery scheduler.

She again didn't answer and I left a message. This time she did actually call me back the next day. I was put on the schedule. Edit: I want to say this is one of the best places I've ever received medical care from. The intake and scheduling process is extremely clunky and difficult to get through. But the medical staff and Doctors are the best. I was so impressed with the level of care and treatment given here when I finally got in to have my procedure done, that I changed my review to 5 stars. The process getting in to see them was difficult but its worth it if you can wait.

Friendly and helpful staff. Caring Dr.s. Dr Walker took the time to explain everything where I understood. Remember, you might have to wait a bit before your appointment but, that is because you never fill like you are being rushed out of the office. They give you the time you need.

I am sorry offices are stressed now but OREGON UROLOGY has been deplorable with customer service and communication for over 6 years now. It can take up to two weeks to get a perscription filled correctly and that is with much of my ivested time for follow up. They refuse to notice the pharmacy's requests. I am sorry I am leaving I do not want to find out how bad the service will be when I may need urgent help. Dr Kohlmorgen gives good lip service but does not pay attention to details and my office visit communication. I suggest you check other options although they seem to have a monopoly for the urology in Lane county.

Twice I have been referred to this clinic by different doctors for different reasons, and twice they have not only utterly failed to help me, but left me feeling disgusted and angry. The first time was for testicular pain. Dr. Walker spent almost no time addressing that and instead focused on an unrelated part of my medical chart. He never did resolve my problem. Ironically, it was a salesman at a bike shop who did.

My pain was caused by the bike seat and a simple adjustment was all that was needed. The second time was with Dr. Mehlhaff. I wanted to discuss the possibility of a circumcision reversal. He refused to even consider any options, acted like childhood genital mutilation is a "normal" thing, and (after being delayed by a half hour to see him) he had me in and out in less than 5 minutes. Also, I've never been in a doctor's office where a stenographer was taking down everything that was said. They must have been sued at some point. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I will never see them again.

Dr Ferguson was not good.spent 2 minutes in my room. Looked very unproffessional. Left quickly mumbling. Will schedule another test. Changing Dr. I'm 67 years old, I don't need this type of condesending rudeness.

Probably the worst medical experience of my life. I spent upwards of 7 minutes in an exam room with a doctor who seemed distracted and not interested in me. The doctor offered me no information and charged me a little over $500. When I wrote to them asking for the fee to be waived, they told me they do not waive fees simply because I did not like the doctor's personality. I've been in the healthcare field in Lane County for 16 years. I've never run into this kind of energy before, and I encourage everyone to seek care somewhere else.

If you go here, be prepared for an expensive run around and over 30 day delays. I was diagnosed with high PSA onApril 30th., took till May 31st. to get biopsy, results on June 5th. Body scan wait is 2 weeks, finally results on June 20th. Zero information on exact cancer in my body! THEN they cancelled that date, reset for June 28th, (doctor busy) while I had no idea of severity of cancer, that's two months past initial indicators.

In 5 min. I was told i had a 9 ( of 10 ) positive result, NOT good! Got 2 shots in stomach and ushered out the door. I was sent to the radiation section across town -- the wait is until JULY 27th. to start radiation, cancelling out my late summer plans by needing DAILY radiation. With copays for each visit, most likely. At that point I called Willamette Valley cancer, in Eugene -- got an appointment for a week out, with assurance that treatment could start soon after, anything would beat Or. Urology place by a mile. How would you like a 90 day wait to find a cancer of a 9 rating, it's criminal!

Jeff woolsey probably saved my life, at least for awhile. nice people there but having to do all the check in with a mini pad sucked.also dr, ferguson was giving me the spiel on my cancer, started talking and i had questions about many things but she refused to answer anything until she had gotten down off her soap box and by then i couldnt remember questions i had at the beginning. also, and this is important, she told me my cancer was slow growing, take a vacation for a couple months. my cancer was not slow growing, it had almost reached my spine and i would be dead by now if id taken her advice. quack, quack, quack!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I am an elderly man living on a fixed budget. I was unable to pay a $50 "appointment fee" charged just to set up a time to have an examination based upon my doctors referral. This $50 fee is much like the property managers "application fee" except that these guys charge a fee that leave some people in medical pain without medical service.

I have written a letter to the BBB and to the Board of Health. Shame on you for bleeding people of $50 just to get on a list to see a doctor who will charge astronomical fees

So when u work in the medical field at a urology clinic I would assume the majority of patients are elderly or older folks. The line of elderly people trying to do an online checking on an iPad. a device they've probably never seen. is hard to witness. and then a receptionist who seems frustrated at the people who needed help with just the check in. meanwhile she's Trying to gossip with the other receptionist playing with the label maker.

The nurse who called us back. talked so fast I had a hard time understanding her. she left my father who is. you guessed it. elderly. to give his urine sample and because she said where to go when he was finished so fast. he just stayed in the bathroom and she came and asked me where he was. once I asked her to slow down and speak up it was fine. I am just confused that I had to even say something. you would think the online check in system where we selected "hard of hearing" might have helped them adjust their behavior.

Sometimes I wonder how some end up in a field that deals with people when they lack people skills and patience. I still feel like I need to stand in the lobby and help the old folks with their iPads.thank god we didn't send our dad to this appointment by himself

They have a great policy where someone can make an appointment in your name without your permission or knowledge. This results in a missed appointment and a nasty certified letter letting you know that they will not see you again. Which is great because they are the only Urologist in town. When notified that someone had made an appointment without my knowledge their response is "go to portland". What a joke. I guess when you've got basically a monopoly on a certain area of health care here you can do whatever and afford to turn patients away without regard.

After reading the many complaints about this medical facility I initially thought it was just uneducated patients blowing off steam. But NO, this place really does have terrible staff, and they really do have a very bad attitude towards patients. I know one of the founding MDs socially so am not sure what the problem is - maybe their monopoly, and lack of supervision by the MDs.

My PSA has been rising for years. I'm new to the area and after my first visit and follow up tests the urologist suggested a 24 core biopsy to look for prostrate cancer. I called my past urologist from Austin and he was floored to hear they wanted to do such an invasive and low tech procedure. The AUSTIN doc said to find a place where you could get a special MRI just for prostrate cancer.

The Eugene urologist didn't have any recommendation. After much research I found Oregon health science university in Portland had the specialized MRI equipment. I drove up and had the MRI done. No cancer detected. I've had a 12 core biopsy before and it was pretty painful afterwards and messed up sex for 3-4 weeks too. Sadly, doctors often prescribe procedures they make money on rather then what's best for the patient. As a patient you don't often know what your options are. I hope this review helps someone who was new to prostrate issues and testing/treatments.

The office and doctors here are fantastic. Over the past months, my father has had to go to countless appointments due to his condition. Everyone at Oregon Urology is a caring, well trained, mindful individual. From the front desk to the doctors, they'll make sure you get the best care. Dr Esrig has been a true God send. Yes. As with any specialty and medical in general, it's expensive and they expect to be paid.

I'd give the doc 5 stars. Unfortunately, the clinic doesn't like to answer phones or provide receipts, (under-staffed money grubbers). Great doc. Terrible office service.

Knowing just how scary a surgical procedure on a child can be, . Oregon Urology was OUTSTANDING! From the front office to the back, from the staff to the doctor. COMPLETE medical professionalism with the added touch of honest concern. Our visit was for our 5 year old child, so we were VERY anxious. The reception was quick & friendly concerning all scheduling & insurance issues.

Back Office/Nurses were extremely informative with the procedure. Always making sure that we felt comfortable. Bringing warm blankets and continually checking in & answering all questions. The efficiency was impressive. The busy facility itself was immaculate. Our smiling surgeon, Ferguson Genoa G MD! A fabulous woman with some very skilled hands!

She was welcoming & attentive to our questions. Obviously her technique is what leaves us BEAMING! Our son no longer complains of pain, & the operation left literally NO marks. We couldn't be happier with our experience & results. Thank you Dr. Ferguson & Oregon Urology Staff.

I strongly suggest going anywhere but here. For a minor problem, they scheduled four invasive tests that surprisingly could only be performed at their facility. When I asked about having them performed at the hospital, they said they were the only facility with the "technology". They billed my insurance $600 for a 30 minute appointment with a physicians assistant (the person who tried to schedule all of these tests), I was told I had an appointment with a doctor.

I wasn't able to see the doctor until I performed the litany of tests the PA wanted. It screamed scam and unprofessional when I couldn't have the tests performed at any other facilities, so I decided to seek help elsewhere. Amazingly I got an appointment with a doctor who only had to run one non-invasive test to determine what was wrong with me, and I got to select where the test was run. This place is a mill.

Had an operation done at the institute. Not so good. The doctor didn't seem to know what a Hydroselectomy was and thus did not do the operation right. Had it done at the veterans a few months later. Assistant was so rude and seemed like she had a script to read when I called a few times. Always the same answer. I would seek out other options. Money seems to be their main objective.
