Took son in December 15, Dr took him back. I asked if son had flat feet he said no, asked about inserts as his feet hurt (he is a boxer) and cannot have any pain while boxing. Dr said he will call in a pre-determination for inserts. Never heard back, called today. Was told by secretary that they were waiting for payment for the inserts, my son was not fitted, but "scanned".
Secretary could not find him in the system under DOB. I am very picky when looking for providers and this office came with 5 stars and good reviews, not sure how? After I get the inserts we will not be back.

My initial appointment was last week. As the doctor was treating me, we went over everything and I was in full understanding of the course for treatment and that would be an orthotic. The doctor seemed very full of himself but I didn't think anything of that at that time. The doctor told me I was his 17,148th patient when I asked one question which he seemed very put off by me asking him to explain in more detail, he told me not to question anything as he's been practicing for over 20 years. Brenda is his administrative assistant that I talked to a few times over the phone and she was great!
Very nice and very informative. When I talked to their office today I spoke to someone else who told me several things as far as pricing and costs that we hadn't gone over, and when I asked her if I could speak to Brenda she told me I could call back tomorrow. I explained to her that I've talked to Brenda and I would prefer to talk to Brenda as she was familiar with everything that was going on, which at that point the doctor got on the phone and explained to me that I was right and the other assistant was wrong in the information she was giving me, as I was clarifying everything.
I asked the doctor what material the orthotic was made of which then the doctor told me not to question what material it's made of. The doctor told me again that he's he's been practicing for over 20 years and brought my profession into the conversation to give an analogy which had zero relevance to anything. The doctor then followed that up by telling me he doesn't have time to answer questions, clearly over reacting, he then said he wouldn't see me as a patient and the money I paid for the orthotic would be sent by mail and hung up. Brenda called back and I explained to her my frustration with the doctor and she was professional and kind about everything. I've never met anyone as entitled, arrogant, cocky, and rude as this doctor was.
I don't care that he's been practicing for over 20 years and that he's had over 17,000 patients. The fact that the doctor got so bent out of shape over me asking what material the orthotic was made of and he told me he wouldn't see me as a patient and my down payment towards those would be sent by mail and hung up, truly words don't express how unprofessional this is. I feel bad for his 17 thousand patients that have been treated.

When we arrived (December 2020) the receptionists were not wearing masks, but they did put them on after speaking with me. They didn't take our temperatures or ask about any exposure to Covid-19. Even when I repeated my child's preferred name multiple times, they still called them by the name on the insurance card. A small thing, but definitely lacking in patient care/compassion. Most disturbingly, when Dr. Rameas saw us, he kept his mask beneath his nose the entire time. We won't be going back.
