I have been getting mammogram images with CNY for several years now. I recently went in for my annual along with a sonogram. I reported some issues I've been having with one of my breast (some pain and drainage). The hope was the nurse as well as the doctor would recommend a follow up due to these concerns but they did not. The nurse handed me the paper with results that said the same thing it did for the 4 or 5 prior mammograms: "dense breast tissue" which is normal but continue with annual appointments.
But I felt that I needed to go to a breast center and so I asks how I could get my images sent; I was told to just have the doctor request them. And I'm so glad I did. A ductagram, MRI and biopsy later.the finding was definitely Brest Cancer. Glad I went with my feelings that some wasn't normal. CNY Diagnostics, you need to listen to your patients!

CNY Diagnostics has has terrible record keeping and sent a bill to collections within a month of altering it. My child went in for a scan in order to confirm the necessity for an appendectomy. My wife and I have insurance through our companies hers BCBS and Mine United Healthcare, the UHC is required to be put as primary due to my date of birth and some weird laws i don't understand. after the scan in May they billed only BCBS in June as the only insurance, this initially allowed BCBS to authorize payment as the child was covered. once receiving the bill and only having BCBS covered. contact was made to ensure UHC would be used as primary.
In October BCBS removed their payment because they should not be a primary insurance for the procedure. Before the end of October the bill was sent to a collections agency without ever having entered the insurance information for UHC or any other bill corrections. When addressing the billing department to their error I was met with hostility and abrasiveness with accusations that it was obviously it was our fault that this happened even with the obvious issues with BCBS.

Service during my visit was fine and staff were very nice. 8 months after the visit I find a $70 collections bill on my credit report. Apparently my insurance left a $70 amount unpaid. No problem, I could just pay that but since I had paid my copay how was I to know that I still had a balance after insurance. I did not get ANY bills from CNY Diagnostic Imaging.
I cant pay a bill I dont know exists! After 3 months it was sent to Simons collection agency who had been calling me for months. However Simons calls were an automated & vague message that sounded like spam calls that just said you have a unpaid bill with Simons. CNY Diagnostic had my correct address and Phone number yet this was the result. a $70 bill that I would have paid instantly had I know it existed instead becomes a negative mark on my credit report.

A busy office, but l was checked in soon after arriving; these folks are used to work-in patients and as such l waited about 15 min with 4 pts ahead of me. The technician was very friendly, empathetic, and efficient. I appreciate that she did not expect me to make small talk since l was wearing a paper mask--she knew l felt horrible and put me at ease. Procedure just a few minutes and they faxed the results *right* to my doctor upstairs. Highly recommend.

I recently found a lump on my right breast and went to CNY Diagnostics in the Hill Medical Center. My breasts are dense and I always have a mammogram followed up with a sonogram. I had my mammogram and went to the sonogram. The tech was efficient if not quick. I went back to my cubby to change and was told by the tech that I was fine and that the lump that I felt was "just a cyst." Fortunately I had an appointment with my doctor who had also scheduled an MRI due to my family history of breast cancer.
The doctor said from what the mammogram and the sonogram said it was most likely a cyst but I had the MRI scheduled and I may as well go because of my family history. Thank God I went to the MRI because an incredible radiologist, realized right away that the lump was no cyst. He could tell right away that it was more than that and he scheduled me quickly for a biopsy.
The biopsy showed that I had an aggressive form of cancer called triple negative that can grow and spread quickly. If I had gone on the word of the sonogram technician, I would have had very serious consequences. According to my doctor at Sloan Kettering, this technician was not putting the focus on the correct spot and clearly was negligent. Please, please if you have any issues consider going elsewhere for your mammograms and sonograms. At the very least, ask a lot of questions and listen to your instinct because if I hadn't listened to mine, I would be facing very dire consequences.
