Eye Consultants of Syracuse provides comprehensive ophthalmology treatment, as well as specialized services. Our practice has been providing comprehensive medical, surgical and routine eye care for both children and adults for over 40 years. All of the doctors at Eye Consultants are specially trained and have teaching responsibilities at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

The retina is a delicate, light-sensitive tissue covering the interior wall of your eye. Like film in a camera, it receives images projected through the lens of your eye and sends these images to your brain through the optic nerve. When the retina is damaged by injury, illness or as a result of aging, your vision becomes impaired.

This was our first time seeing Dr. Michael Moore. Our former Ophthalmologist retired and so we needed to find a new eye doctor. From reception (check-in) to check-out, and all services in between, was exceptional. My husband has dementia, and Dr. Moore and his staff were kind, patient, sensitive to our situation. My husband was anxious at first since he did not recognize the office or Dr. Moore, but Dr. Moore and his staff were extremely calming for my husband. Dr. Moore took the time to know our names before he entered the room. Dr. Moore and his staff treated us like we were long time patients of his. I would highly recommended Dr. Moore to anyone. I am grateful.

I've been a patient of Eye Consultants for years. I get my eye exams from Dr. Spitzer. The office is very busy and I have to wait a long time to see the doctor. Other than that, I like the office. The optician, Stacey, is friendly and helpful. She always has time to adjust my glasses and help me find new frames. She is the best! (Stacey is at another frame shop now) 02/01/22

My physician transferred to Eye Consultants of Syracuse. Like all new practices there was a lot of paperwork. The office staff made this transfer seamless. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted with a friendly welcome. Again checking was easy. Dr. Miller's assistant Joline (spelling?) knowledgeable, kind and efficient. Great experience!

This was my first visit to Eye Consultants and the Staff was outstanding. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and taken care of immediately. The Doctor's Assistant was kind professional and easy to work with. This was my first visit to Eye Consultants of Syracuse. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, brought my insurance & ID and was quickly instructed to take a seat in the waiting area. I waited just a few minutes to be called in for my initial review, back to the waiting area and waited just a few minutes for the other eye tests and then to see the eye doctor.
My complete exam took just less than the time on my intro letter. I was impressed with the staff, technicians and doctor's greetings, explains of the procedures, ability to answer my questions, and their willingness to make me feel comfortable during the process. Thank you for making the appointment as smooth, informative and comfortable as possible. Everyone was professional and accommodating as anyone could expect. Thank you.
