Dr. Vassallo will not listen to you or your concerns. Especially post-procedure. Upon complications post procedure, when calling Vassallo for help, I was told it "wasn't his problem" and he's "only the bladder doctor" without even letting me finish telling him what issues I was having or how I was feeling. Said to go to the ER "if I want." I suppose it was dinner time when I called, he was clearly upset to be bothered at that time.

Once the surgery is over and he is paid, don't expect him to fake caring anymore. He only does that before you agree to pay the bill. I wish I'd read all the other reviews on the various websites reviewing doctors. I would have clearly seen his listening skills are subpar at best and his greed is transparent, and wouldn't have selected him for my care. I would have actually found someone who does care.

This practice would not let me make an appointment because I'm self-pay. The reason they give is because it's illegal under Obamacare to not have insurance. I've been to several doctors as self-pay. So are these doctors breaking the law? I have a legal reason and the reason is I don't have insurance is because I live in an exempt US Territory.

The reason I come to my mainland country is because there is not a good selection of medical specialties there. I have enough money to pay as I go in full. I'm in pain and and an American Citizen. This practice will not serve me and they obviously have no compassion and just don't care. You think that cash would keep administrative costs down.
