Radiology and Imaging Specialists (RIS) is Central Florida's local, physician-owned radiology team. Our team of more than 40 board-certified physicians includes specialists and subspecialists in all aspects of diagnostic radiology. We have several convenient outpatient imaging centers in Lakeland, Plant City and Kissimmee, Florida. In addition, we provide radiology services to Lakeland Regional Health, Winter Haven Hospital, Advent Health Lake Wales, Advent Health Heart of Florida Hospital, South Florida Baptist Hospital, Manatee Memorial Hospital, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Manatee Diagnostic Centers, Gessler Clinic and Bond Clinic.

Since then it has grown to be one of the leading radiology providers in Central Florida. Currently, Radiology and Imaging Specialists has more than 45 physicians and five imaging centers.
Our expanding team of radiologists represents cutting-edge capabilities within the subspecialties of body, breast, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine and vascular/interventional services. We work with the most advanced imaging equipment and software in our state-of-the-art vascular and interventional suite.
At Radiology and Imaging Specialists (RIS), we offer the full range of diagnostic imaging tests in the Lakeland, Florida area. The test you will have is based on your doctor's recommendation and will provide information for them to give you an accurate diagnosis. A CT scan is a procedure that combines many X-ray images with the aid of a computer to generate cross-sectional and three-dimensional views of anatomy. CT Scans are performed to analyze the internal structures of various parts of the body. CT Scans can identify normal and abnormal structures and be used to guide procedures.

The technologist, Payton, Debbie, and Shelly, we're excellent. They made the MRI breast biopsy easier and were constantly concerned with my comfort. Dr Shahid and Dr Grankiewciz were excellent also. They answered all my questions and made the biopsy as painless as possible. I had two breast biopsies there and was impressed with the personnel both times.

Get a receipt. I paid my 40.00. Payment. The black haired lady did not know what to do with cash. I never got a receipt. I called the next day and someone said they would mark it down that I had paid. I just got billed and the billing people have no recollection of me paying the 40.00. So I paid twice. Pastor Chuck

I had such a great experience as RIS. First off Karly is now my go to when I need anything. I was having a hard time getting through to schedule my appointment but lucky me I got her. She wasn't a scheduler but she still took care of everything! She stayed on the phone with me and had one of the schedulers set me up with a time that worked for me and had insurance call me with my copay.
And I was about to go to a different facility! I'm so glad I didn't. The facility was so nice and I loved the techs. RIS is a great facility and with employees that go above and beyond like Karly you couldn't ask for more!

Here I am on a Saturday morning at 8 am in the parking lot. I was told no appointment needed for an x-ray even on Saturday. Doors are locked. I have attempted to get this x-ray for several weeks. Twice I was told nothing was received from my doctor's office. I obtained the script from my doctor to take it off myself. Three weeks later I still suffering from my discomfort. The search is on to for a facility that care about the patient.

We had a very professional and good experience at your mobile unit recently located at Bond Clinic, Winter Haven. My husband had a PET scan. Kristen was the technician. She was by herself and had several nonpatient interruptions but still served patients in a timely manner. Wonderful health care provider

Went in to have back X-ray on Thursday 9/9 mid morning, the waiting room was jam packed, over 30 patients to be seen. Upon entering, a gentleman at far right cubicle said Hello, take a number and we will be right with you. There were 3 receptionists working. While waiting to be checked in, and called back for procedure, I couldn't help but notice, the blonde in the middle cubicle and gentleman far right we're hustling to take care of patients in a timely fashion, the the 3rd receptionist, Carlos was meandering in and out, shuffling papers then leaving, then help 1 patient, then off again.no sense of urgency, or patient service! Felt sorry for the 2 that continued to work their tails off!
Can understand the lackluster attitude if an empty waiting room, but with the volume, needed to be taped to his chair. Hopefully his performance will be addressed for the sake of his fellow peers.
