Lakeland Surgical & Diagnostic Center

My wife had eye surgery with Dr Jay Mulvaney who was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend him, however the diagnostic center was very different experience. the care she received from the center was great but the billing department was a nightmare. Shes been fighting cancer, so I have one credit card we use to keep track of medical bills. She received a statement went in to pay and was told balance was 0. then received another bill, called to pay it, and even though she had used it for both the Dr and the surgical center this time was told it couldn't be used. The care given was great, the billing Dept not so much.

I was here today for my Nanna's procedure and the security guard in the morning time was extremely nice. Well the one he switched shifts with Danny was absolutely rude to my family and I. We had been going in and out the same door all morning because we had to wait outside due to covid restrictions. Well I went to go use the restroom and he went and he literally stood in front of me, put his hands up and blocked me and then asked me what I was doing so I told him and he proceeded to raise his voice at me and tell me no that I needed to use a different entrance and I said oh okay no problem we had been going the other way all day and he told me no I was wrong and walked me in the other entrance and told me stickers are not meant to pass around which I didn't even have my grandfather did and has been inside all day.

Also a senior man and his son were walking in the parking lot coming from the hospital next door and he told them they needed to leave that they were on private property. The facility might want to reconsider who they have as the first person patients have interactions with.

This place lives to cancel procedures at the last second. I watched as another persons procedure got canceled while he was at registration, and then they let me sit in the lobby for 2 hours then canceled my procedure. Avoid this place.

Sara and other nurses was awesome I just want to say it went so fast and have no idea what they did to me but I came home with no pain.

My arrival time was 12:15 with Dr. Montenegro I arrived at 12 got checked in by 12:10! My appointment time was 1:45, I was taken back at 1:17 and was done by 2:30! I'm 22 and with COVID you can't have anyone with you, I was so scared and wanted to have my mom there but obviously that couldn't happen but once I met the staff all my worried melted away!

All members of the staff were so friendly and super comforting, they made sure I had no questions and they explained everything to me in a way I could actually understand! 10/10 for this place and their staff!

Dr. Prowler and her entire team treated me with what I considered some of the best care I've ever received in a medical facility. They were professional, thorough, very attentive and friendly.

I was called for a Job position that I applied here(sterile processing), and the HR pero woman who called me was being super rude with all the questions that I had. Immediately knew is not a good place to work with.

Told to be here at 930am for an 11am simple 15 min procedure, its now 255pm and still haven't been released yet, was told 30 mins ago it would be 10 more mins. this place is a fricking joke while family sits in a car in a parking lot for 5 1/2 hours waiting! I know it will do no good but I'm billing the doctor for our time wasted WAITING. And let's not forget the doctor was over an hour late showing up for his own appts. DO NOT GO HERE, GO TO TAMPA OR ANYWHERE ELSE!

Amazing experience, to say the least. The staff is caring, thorough, and professional. They treated me with kindness and patience. They even sent a personal card to my home with the signature of every staff member. Thank you all, God Bless
