Contemporary Obstetrics and Gynecology (COBGYN) was founded by Dr. John H. Schulte. Since its inception in 1982, the practice has thrived, and now six physicians and one nurse practitioner are on staff. Besides the doctor, we have a pleasant staff of employees to serve you. Molly or Mabel will greet you at the registration desk. After you are checked in, one of our delightful nurses will escort you to an examination room. Nicole, Mackenzie, and Brianne generally work downstairs; Chelsea and Amy generally work upstairs; while Brenda, Amanda, and Danielle work in both areas.

I came here for my 4th pregnancy, I was kind of high risk. Dr. Weir is a fantastic doctor. The nurses here are all very sweet understanding people. I highly recommend Contemporary Gynocology.

Dr. Torpin is amazing! She has a kind and personable bedside manner and provides quality care. She did my hysterectomy surgery as well as ongoing care and everything has gone very well. In addition, all support staff has been friendly and knowledgeable.

Went in to hopefully get much needed answers. I was upfront and said no to BC. When my labs came back all clear and I asked what the next step was, they said to get on BC. And when I again said no, they said all they could do next is offer BC. so, save your time and money if you want actual help and real answers. I'm sure there another OBGYN in Kearney that will display more compassion for you & not stop searching until you have answers.

I moved to Kearney mid pregnancy with my third baby and chose Dr. Jorgensen as my OBGYN. She is amazing and is a very caring person. She made me feel welcome as well as all of the other office staff. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I'm very happy with the services that I continue to receive.

Nurses and receptionists are lovely to deal with. However, you will wait well past your appointment time. I sat in a room for 2 hours just to hear the heartbeat of baby and that's it. It's my first pregnancy and I felt completely in the dark with anything. Never told anything about baby, my questions were never answered. Just "if you don't hear from us that's good" I switched providers and they told me there were several problems I should of known about that they never disclosed to me. Billing is a joke.

When it comes to labor and delivery they want the full amount up front. Which was well over 6,000$. I haven't even had any procedure, scan nothing at that time. I told them I'll pay my co pay until I talked to my insurance. Turns out, I didn't have to pay that amount at all. I paid a final bill after leaving and I got charged twice. It's been 2 months and every week I call for my refund, I get a new excuse or method on when I'll get my money.

They say they'll do it, then they say Dr Weir will be authorizing checks for those patients (I never saw him once). I'm in a loop of lies and I don't want to give up because it's not a small amount either. Avoid this place really. You're better off at other doctors who will treat you like a human, not a paycheck.

I have had nothing but amazing care from all the staff! Dr. Philpot removed cancerous cyst from my ovaries about 3 years ago, and was amazing before, during, and after the procedure, answered all my questions. I now see Dr. Weir aas Philpot was very busy, and I have had nothing but excellent care from him, he's gone over all options and what they would iintell and he explains everything in a way I can understand and I have always left that place feeling genuinely cared for.

Pros. - Ample parking - Large waiting areas - Building is well decorated and maintained. Clean bathrooms. - Doctors have a good bedside manner and are very knowledgeable. My friends see Dr. Philpot. I've seen Dr. Weir and Dr. Loeffler with the former being my main doctor. - Dr. Weir performed my c-section last year and did an amazing job. The nurses at the hospitals raved about him beforehand when I visited each and they were adamant that if anything were to go wrong, that is the doctor they would want taking care of them. - Nurses are all friendly and sensitive to concerns with bloodwork.

When I call with questions, they get back to me quickly. - Waiting times vary so sometimes I get right in and sometimes I wait > 30min. Women are late for appointments, unexpectedly take extra time in office or doctors are needed to deliver babies so you always have to try not to take the delay personally. Cons. - On one occasion there were loud little children in the waiting area and they weren't accompanied by anyone. We all assumed they were someone else's kids until the mom came to the waiting room and left with them.

Have been going to this clinic for about a year and becoming increasingly frustrated. I have seen my doctor a handful of times and almost always see a new doctor every visit. I had the unfortunate experience of having to see Dr. David Weir due to my usual doctor being out. He was extremely rude to me during an exam and has no bedside manner. I waited for 55 minutes on an exam table just for him to hurry me through my exam and and not even tell me what he was planning to do.

He gave me short /rude responses to my questions and rushed out. I also feel like my main doctor was unenthusiastically involved in helping me find the cause to the struggles I had been having. Little concern to the pain I've complaining of and uninterested in what I have to say. Unclear answers to my questions and just little interest in getting to the bottom of the problem. On a positive not there were many helpful and kind nurses who would take the time to answer my questions and listen to me. Overall would not recommend this clinic.

The receptionist Kathy is very rude. I was running late for an appointment and called in plenty of time before to let them know she acted like it was a huge inconvenience and then hung up on me when I apologized. I went to my appointment and was told to call at 3 for my results I called and she told me that she would relay the message. After and hour and a half of no phone call back I called again.

She very rudely told me she gave my message and someone will get back to me. because of that I have absolutely no desire to even walk into the office. I understand there are other patients and the nurses and doctors are busy but as a receptionist that makes you the first voice and first face you see when you go into the office and my first impression was very unsettling.

The lady at the front counter with the big bun on her head was rude. I mistakenly was late an appt and made it seem as if I was a huge inconvience to her because I showed up towards the end of the day on accident. Even though I was finished with my appointment by the time they closed. It's a big deal to make people feel welcome especially when your having a first child and never have experienced any of this before. But The doctor I see everytime is great! She's very friendly and open to any questions.
