November, 4 2020. My Doctor Mark Pelikan is great. It is Esse and their phone people that are the worst. For three different occasions my wife and I have called for the phone nurse and various other people there and have not received a single call back, a machine always answers the phone. I have even called the main office to complain and did so and asked to be called back, no response so far.
The first time, three months ago, we called about my mother in law, we called the phone nurse and various other phone options to contact and ask for advice as to where to take her and what to do. After the second day of doing so we called 911. She ended up in hospices and eventually passed away. I went with my wife to her Dr. Adams appointment shortly afterwards and told her of the incident and she was quite surprised and shocked, said she would look into it. October, 30, 2020, I came down with all kinds of problems, fever, chill, body aches, congestion, cough, etc., I called the phone nurse to ask where to go and what to do, because they always want everyone to go to the right place at the right time that they are associated with at the present.
The voice tape said they will get back to me in two hours, if not call back. So again I wait, I call back in two hours, so I waited almost two hours again, it's getting late and I just drove myself to Total Access. After several hours there I find out I got Covid-19. NEVER DID GET A CALL BACK FROM THE PHONE NURSE AND ANYONE AT ESSE, seems like they don't care!
So November, 1, called the main office to complain, complained to them for a few minutes into their recording about never getting a call back from anyone and asked for a call back, three days later, no call back! October, 26, had a doctors appointment with Dr. Mark Pelikan, for a check up and had a blood test for high blood sugar. So eight days later results have not come back, called Esse phone line leave a recorded message, I never get a person, I left a message early in the day to ask them about my test and to be sure to call me back. It's 24 hours plus later and I got nothing.

Lovely lobby. The doctors are very nice. But they don't run on time. So if you are a working parent or have a life that expects you to meet deadlines or be on time - you should probably find another pediatric office. Otherwise it is a nice and quality care provider. It just becomes inconvenient for life.either for a routine checkup or for sick kiddos.
