MY appointment took almost 3 hours. This place is like a car lot. Doc trying to sale you upgraded lens for cataract surgery. Surgery center didn't take my insurance just doctor. Why didn't they state before. It's a game. Left without reason my eyes been swollen and red for 2 months. No eyes drops nothing. I need cataract surgery but there surgery center is different from doc acceptance. Angry

My appointment took 3 hours. They did lots of testing for new prescription which was not even what I went for. I was continually told that was not his area of expertise and was referred to another Dr. It's been 3 weeks and East Valley still hasn't been able to fax the info my new clinic needs after repeated requests. I was charged $50 for the new Rx but was told not to get new glasses as this might not be what I need.

Don't waste your time. They took me 45 minutes past my initial appointment time only for the doctor to tell me to go to Walmart or wherever and buy over the counter glasses.

You've responded numerous times how sorry you were for making patients wait. But nothing has been done to correct THIS ONGOING PROBLEM. Another 50 mins past my wife's scheduled time.1020 appointment time n she's called back at 1110. I know your sorry and are going to assure me as you have others your working the problem. Reread your responses from several months ago n nothing has changed. Don't blame covid as she's been coming here for years

I had cataract surgeries performed by Dr. Yuri McKee the last part of May and in July, 2020 and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. McKee to anyone who requires eye surgery. He is an incredibly talented, highly skilled and meticulous medical professional. I had not been able to see well for many years due to an astigmatism that wasn't correctable with glasses.

His technicians performed many test and scans of my eyes and Dr. McKee evaluated them and took the time to explain all possible options available to correct my vision and helped me select one that worked well based on my lifestyle preferences. And Joanna, his surgery scheduler and assistant, was also very friendly and helpful in explaining the process and timeline for the surgeries.

I am also very grateful for the extra effort they took to handle a very difficult insurance issue so I could have the surgeries. Additionally, I am very thankful to Dr. Frank Akers at Akers Eyecare in Mesa for referring me to Dr McKee. Anyone who has cataract issues compounded by astigmatism would do very well to call East Valley Ophthalmology and set up an appointment with Dr. McKee. All their technicians and receptionists are incredibly kind, informative and efficient. This is a wonderful practice!

They are fine physicians and provide good results, however their appointment scheduling has much to be desired and has been for a long time. Waiting an hour or so to be seen is not uncommon. Be prepared.

Dr McKee restored my eye sight. From my first meeting with Dr McKee I believed in him and trusted him. I came to Dr McKee due to a bad experience with a previous doctor. I was filled with doubt and frightened. Dr McKee told me we couldn't do anything about the past but I was in the right place. Dr McKee's staff is just as professional and caring as he is. I never stopped being amazed by his commitment, vast knowledge and expertise.

They were able to get me in on the same day an optometrist told me to go there immediately after my appointment. Forever grateful!

I've been sitting in this waiting room for 30 minutes waiting for them to call me back. My appointment time was at 8:30, so I showed up 15 minutes early to change insurance and update any info needed. Its now 8:45 and I'm still sitting here waiting.originally gave one star. Assistant, I forget her name, earned back one for quickly processing me and putting up with my attitude and getting me through the pre tests quickley. Lost one more star for all the sitting and waiting but Dr. Kao did an acceptable job while examining me. Overall not happy about the wait but the service helps.

My wife just had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Yuri McKee. She is very happy with the entire process. We recommend Dr. McKee to anyone who is considering eye surgery. He us highly skilled and is very good at taking time to answer questions. We feel very fortunate to have him as our Dr. In addtion, his staff is wonderful and caring.

I choose East Valley Ophthalmology for my cataract eye surgery after going to 3 different doctors in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa, and after reviewing credentials, and my experience with getting questions answered satisfactorily - so glad I did. They definitely weren't trying to sell me something. everything was explained to me, very thorough. When I was considering cataract surgery, especially any of those fancy multi-focal lenses that are being offered, I wanted to go with the best I could find, did a lot of research.

I went to East Valley Ophthalmology for a consultation with my questions and had them answered fully. It's been several months since my surgery and I am thrilled. This is a big decision and I wanted to feel confident in my doctor that he's doing it for the right reasons and knowing I have a great chance of success. That is what ultimately made me pick this place. Best choice of my life.
