I just started being seen here but do to insurance and red tape I've had frequent interaction with this office. Everyone is so helpful nice. It's simple and fast to speak with someone on the phone (uncommon). I'm a new patient in a difficult circumstance and Dr Carla could easily say "not my problem", but instead, has been so helpful. When you deal with chronic issues, having trust in your primary care physician is vital. I'm so glad I was referred to Venado Health.

Quack alert Sat there for over an hour with "doctor" who bloviated about something he thought was related to my current health issue: mild right hand arthritis : all related to tonsillectomy and mold? He didn't even knew my age, no vitals taken, no labs performed, did not get out of his seat to examine me or even glance at my hands and quite honestly was a very unhealthy looking person who touted whatever it was that they did as the pathway to health. Complete rip off for 250.00 I want my money back.

I hate to do this but people really need to know and stay well clear of this clinic. This place literally ruined my life. I had already been chronically ill for the better half of my life but then took a turn for the worst after many months of oral glutathione powder which was administered at the Valley Clinic. Dr. Ketover and his wife are very passionate, smart and caring people but they are using glutathione with the utmost ignorance. Taking loading doses of glutathione every day is NOT the appropriate way to support detox and I found this out the hard way after it left me basically bed ridden, more or less.
You can read Andy Cutler's book "Amalgam Illness" to better understand the potential dangers around glutathione. It can leave you severely injured, like it left me. I can no longer eat any high sulfur/thiol foods which means I'm basically completely unable to detox with food and supplements alone. If I do eat these foods, my adrenals will crash and I can black out.
This is a result of glutathione pulling and bouncing metals around in my blood stream that would otherwise be sequestered and stored in organs (to keep you alive). Glutathione is a strong antioxidant but it is not a true chelator by any means. It will not attach itself to mercury and form a secure bond for excretion like OSR will. I'm now severely histamine intolerant as well.
I've talked to other people with similar stories that have been injured by glutathione but it's usually through intravenous use. Glutathione is well known to be un-absorbed through the gut unless taken in a Liposomal form (with essential Phospholipids) but clearly if taken long enough in high enough doses it can cause very serious problems in your body.
There are many well established and respected lyme clinics in and outside of this country treating chronic illness. PLEASE, go elsewhere and NEVER let doctors convince you that glutathione is perfectly safe.

Dr. Alan Ketover, Barbara Ketover and Staff have kept me in tip top health for years now! Years ago I was diagnosed with a serious illness and didn't want to treat it with drugs. If you are open to other forms of health care this is the place for you! They practice environmental medicine.basically getting your own immune system back to 100%.they are on the cutting edge of nutritional supplement therapy, homeopathy and detoxification. They also specialize in the treatment of Autism. http://www.thevalleyclinic.com/default.php Call them, you and your family deserve to be healthy!
