Founded in 1970 by Paul Gwyn, M.D., Forsyth Plastic Surgery is the oldest and most established group of plastic surgeons in the Piedmont Triad. Offering the latest techniques in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, our doctors will make you feel comfortable and confident with your decision to undergo plastic surgery.
Our office and surgery center, The Plastic Surgery Center of North Carolina, are located at 2901 Maplewood Avenue in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Our Patient Care Coordinators will be glad to provide directions and assist you with scheduling a consultation. The reception area, doctors' offices and consultation rooms are located on the first floor of our building.
One of the things we'll do during your consultation is to go over how much your procedure will cost and how you'd like to pay for it. We try to take the stress out of choosing a cosmetic procedure by offering several ways to pay. You choose what works best for you. We accept cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards and payments provided by our three financing providers: Allegacy, CareCredit and PatientFi.
The choice of a plastic surgeon is perhaps the most important one that you will make. In these days of stiff competition and dissatisfaction within the health profession, many doctors are promoting themselves as "plastic surgeons" or "cosmetic surgeons" when in reality they are neither. There are numerous "boards" that are very willing to "certify" someone regardless of their background or expertise. Our surgeons believe that certification by The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the "gold standard."

Dr. Schneider performed a septo-rhinoplasty on me several weeks ago due to some breathing issues I was having. He took the time to answer all of my questions before surgery, and prepared me for what to expect after surgery. Everything went very well and it took less time than originally estimated. I noticed an immediate difference in my ability to breathe through my nose after our first follow up visit.
I'm so happy with the results so far and only wish I would have done it sooner. I chose Forsyth Plastic Surgery after visiting The Vista (downstairs) for CoolTone. The aestheticians were kind and knowledgeable. I had no issues with scheduling or insurance/billing. Top notch patient care!

I saw Dr. Schneider in 2008 for a breast reduction and he was kind, took his time, answered all my questions and calmed my fears about the surgery. I have been seeing him the last few years for Botox and he's been okay, but the last time I went in to get botox he didn't seem like the same doctor. Mt botox was horrible. I felt as if he was playing darts with my face.
He did not have me squint. He brused my forehead badly, and nothing was symmetrical. Crows feet not even touched. Ever since the "Vista" has come along, he seems a little bit more interested and motivated by the $$$ than the patient. Unfortunately I will need to find another provider. I say unfortunate because I thought he and Rayna were like family.

Dr. Schneider was my surgeon who made me feel at ease and comfortable along with whole staff. I'm giving 1 stars because Dr. Schneider had good bedside manners. Dr. Schneider reassured me my breast implants would be same size as my original breast and he would liposuction the sides of my breast reconstruction due to cancer. But he left the fat tissue on both sides and it looks horrible.
The surgeon that cut me did an even horrible job. It took me a year to be able to look at my breast in the mirror. I'm so tired of black women being treated poorly or experimented on by doctors.

I am a confident and successful business woman, however I have always been self-conscience about my large breasts. Dr. Schneider put me at ease immediately with his genuine concern for my well-being and sensitivity to my concerns. My breast reduction was just 2 weeks ago. Everyone has been very attentive with follow up and care. I truly feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I highly recommend Dr. Schneider and his team at Forsyth Plastic Surgery. They are wonderful!

I have had two very positive experiences at Forsyth Plastic Surgery /Vista recently. Dr. Lawson performed MOHS surgery on my nose after discovering I had basal cell carcinoma. He was very encouraging, transparent, and professional the entire time and I am healing nicely. More recently, Gina Racca administered my first ever facial peel. I was a little nervous about it but she explained everything thoroughly and was attentive to my apprehension.
It is about a week after the peel and I am very happy with the results! I am so glad to have discovered this place and everyone I've dealt with has been wonderful. Daniele at the front desk is always very nice and informative! She always offers a smile and a warm welcome.

I forget the name of the woman who performed the laser tattoo removal. Her name may have been Greek. I don't remember. My first session, in January went well. She was attentive and took her time. My second session was the exact opposite. I arrived on time but I wasn't seen until 15 minutes later. and then it was rushed. You do not rush ANY laser service because it is painful.
This kind of service should always maintain consistency with care and mindfulness. Unfortunately, it took one bad encounter for me not to return. I'm giving two stars because of how great the 1st session was but 2nd ruined it for me. I really wanted to stay at this location.

What can I say about the amazing office and team at Forsyth Plastic Surgery. I have been going to the office for about 4-5 months now. Dr. Kingman is so patient and kind. I have a long list of questions every time I go in for an appt. with him. He answers every one of them without complaint. Angela the cosmetic coordinator is so organized and on top of everything.
She made sure I had everything I needed and did backflips for the requests from my insurance company. Surgery was originally planned for 9/21/18. Had to reschedule due to a skin infection found that morning. The office kept in touch with me between the reschedule date. His nurse Sharon is the sweetest. Never hesitated to contact me. I never had a long wait between leaving a message and getting a response.
Surgery was performed on 10/4/18. I had a tummy tuck, breast lift and implants. My CRNA that day was Carla. I told her my phobia of needles and how I was more worried about the IV than the actual surgery she was empathetic with me and I didn't feel a thing. The recovery nurses from what I remember were very sweet as well. I was a little drowsy but I know I didn't have any complaints.
Because my surgery was so long and I had more than 1 thing done I had to stay overnight at the med center. Teresa the OR Director lead my husband to the med center. She came into the room with me and assisted in getting me in the hospital bed and situated before she left. My follow up appointments have been a breeze. Again Dr Kingman answering my numerous questions and taking his time with me.
I never feel rushed or unimportant. Even the receptionists are sweet as can be each time. They really know how to make some one feel important and cared for. Oh and I look amazing too. Thank you for everything.

Dr. Schneider and his amazing support staff did a facelift and tummy tuck in 2018. I fly in from across the country because he is that good of a surgeon, and that is important to me! The recovery time was half what other surgeons anticipated. That speaks volumes. I am over the moon happy with myself! They are a very kind and attentive practice to their patients and we now consider them Family! You will not be disappointed.

Dr Kingsman did some minor surgery on my face & I was treated with extreme care & professionalism. He & his nurse, Sharon took great care. He allowed both my daughter & my spouse stay in my room. Suddenly my daughter's sugar dropped, he continued working while Sharon quickly got her a chair & nabs. Thanks to Dr Kingsman & his staff for providing a clean, sterle office & for making me feel well taken care of & comfortable. Totally different from my experience in a plastic surgeons office in High Point once. I didn't feel that doc put me & my health first. I highly recommend Dr Kingsman!

Dr. Schneider, his nurse Rena and the office staff are amazing! Angela in the office also goes above and beyond to help in any way. I rotated through the office with Dr. Schneider during my graduate training and later had cosmetic procedures with him. He is very professional and easy to talk to about your concerns. Very respectful of patients, has an exceptional bedside manner and his results are superb from injections to cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. I have referred several friends and patients to him, who have all been satisfied with their results, and will continue to do so.

I have had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Schneider. He came highly recommended. I am in the medical field and very picky about the care that I received. I originally took off for weeks but have decided to return to work two weeks early because I am doing so good. I believe it is all the state of mind! I would recommend Dr. Schneider plastic surgery to all of my friends and family
