I've hosted the medical conference, as well as the jokes, and men on the well conferences. I established and hosted the sailing, motorcycling, flying conferences, among others, too.

The only place you've got sinuses is in your face. You've got a pair under your eyes in your cheeks: a pair just behind the bridge of your nose; a pair in your forehead above your eyes: if you put your hands flat over your face, they'll cover all your sinuses. There are spaces left in the bones of the face when they form.
The treatment depends on the cause. If it seems to be strep, you're likely to get antibiotics. If your history and physical is suggestive of mono, you'll probably get a blood test to confirm it, and information on what to do until you're better. One specific technique that I've found useful is hot lavage (which just means "washing") of the throat.
Pain in the low back that goes down your leg can be serious. In some cases, it's due to nerve pressure by a "ruptured" or "slipped" disk in your back. Luckily, though, there's another common cause that's easy to treat and doesn't require surgery. It's called "piriformis syndrome." The piriformis is a muscle attaching the outside of the hip to the sacrum, at the bottom of your spine. If you hold your feet together with your legs slightly bent and pull your knees apart, your piriformis muscles are being used.
Poison oak isn't a poison: it's an allergic contact dermatitis caused by contact with the oil of the poison oak plant. One characteristic is the pattern of the blisters on the skin. The oil on the leaves is typically streaked onto the skin, resulting in blisters in a linear pattern. If you know you're sensitive, avoid contact with the plant.
Having a pinched nerve in your neck (a cervical radiculopathy) is a pretty common condition. It's often painful, and sometimes disabling. Though some cases of pinched nerves may eventually need surgery, the vast majority doesn't. Pain in the shoulder or arm that can be caused by tilting or turning the head in a particular way is likely due to a pinched nerve in the neck.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gordon's for several years. Prior to becoming one of his patients, I've had 8 or 9 GP's. Dr. Gordon is by far the best GP I have had in my 57 years. He has an exceptional bedside manner, built on a foundation of caring and amplified by a singular wit and a broad and deep knowledge of ancient and current culture. Dr. Gordon is also a phenomenal practitioner.
He takes time to consider and evaluate one's symptoms and he does not always diagnose the first and/or obvious causative agent. In my case he has three times found longstanding ailments missed by previous physicians and has overseen their successful amelioration, greatly improving my quality of life. I feel fortunate to have him as my GP.

Dr. Gordon is an amazing doctor. It was my first visit, and we reviewed my health history, etc, as part of my having him be my primary doctor, as a new member of MDVIP. He spent well over 1.5 hours with that. He had a wealth of information about each area we discussed, and made excellent suggestions, and started to set up a plan for specialty referrals, sophisticated tests, etc. My opinion at the moment is that he is the best doctor I ever visited!

Dr. Gordon is one of the best MDs I've had the privilege of seeing. He takes time to understand patient's symptoms and draws on his vast experience to establish a diagnosis and/or recommend further tests and treatment. Above all, I appreciate that Dr. Gordon genuinely cares for his patients, and offers invaluable advice on preventative care. Highly recommended.

Dr. Gordon is the last of the great doctors - personable, brilliant and attentive. "Flash" displays a breadth of medical experience and knowledge he uses to solve the litany of medical ailments life brings down upon us all. The amount of time and energy he has dedicated to my medical case issues over the years is remarkable. Excellent physician and human being. I recommend to Dr. Gordon everyone.
