The hits just keep on coming. Evelyn, self proclaimed head of the referral department phoned. She phoned last week because I called the complaint line. After a lengthy discussion about the issues I continue to have to deal with every month, repeating myself numerous times so the message would actually touch brain matter. Evelyn assured me she would call me back Tuesday.
Today is Thursday. The referral department was to re-request an appointment with UCSF then call me TUESDAY after they confirmed that UCSF had actually gotten the request. NOTE- THE INITIAL REFERRAL WAS MADE IN SEPTEMBER. Typical clinic behavior, I have not gotten a phone call. Not to tell me if the referral went through or not. Words are cheap, especially these days, ACTIONS BETRAY INTENT.
The clinic staff has not followed up at all. I'M DONE! I call Legal Aid first thing Monday. I have left a clear record here and elsewhere of the clinics continued incompetence, My new GP "provider" has "Provided" nothing in this regard, he said he would follow up on the status of the referral, well guess what. Here I am listening to crickets, no word from the clinic unless I initiate it and apparently that's not good enough either Should I go on a hunger strike?
Stop taking my medication? Try and sue them for delay of care?. I can only deduce that "my provider" either 1. Is fine with the delay, no matter how much damage is being done to my body or psyche 2. Isn't engaged at all and is as incompetent as the rest of the staff or 3. Is 100% clueless and although he is a licensed MD, is counting on the concept that medicine is a practice and he remains blissfully ignorant of anything beyond his nose, even though he said he would follow up. WTF is wrong with these people? Now I know why my last PA left. BOTTOM LINE If you can get care somewhere else, do it. Honestly I wouldn't let this clinic do a necropsy on my dead dog

Its almost impossible to get an appointment here. Nobody picks up the phones and when you leave a message to get a call back, nobody calls back. When you fortunate to get get an appointment the waiting time is 2 hours and the actual visit is like 5 minites. Seems like most staff in this clinic dont care about their patients. I have multiple health issues that needed to be addressed but nobody has gotten back to me so I had to go to the er multiple times. I feel like most of the staff do this because they know that the majority of their clients are non English speakers or people from low income areas.

Been a client here because I have to and have nothing but issues and troubles. Most messed up thing is they have covid tests where the lines are around the block, I waited for 2 hours, and people who weren't clients cut to the front, so if you're a client here do not get your covid test here. Youll be here for hours while they let others who just showed up be in and out in 10 minutes. This place is an absolute joke. Can't wait till I don't have to be a client here. Never experienced such an unprofessional medical clinic in my life

This is just a quick note about the Novato campus of Marin Community Clinics. On Friday, I had an appointment to see the dermatologist, Dr. Eric Schten. From the time of my arrival, I found the experience to be phenomenal. All Covid-19 protocols were observed and I was called in to an examining room just after my appointment time by Jamie. We moved through all the onboarding (it was my first visit) with ease along with the help of Isaiah, and Dr. Schten came right along for a full examination.
He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about his field. He targeted questionable areas with ease and treated them immediately. This facility amazed me with how well appointed it was. Staff were friendly and outgoing. Certainly one of the best medical experiences of my life, and that is saying quite a bit. One downside is parking is rather precious at this location. I parked right on Redwood Blvd. but arrived early in case it would be a hike!

Worst dentist ever. I always come 15 minutes before my appointment time and end up waiting over 40 minutes after my time. Horrible customer a service. Today I had an appointment at 10:30 it was 11:10 and they still didn't take me so I went up and asked and they said my appointment was at 11, how could that be, I showed them the voicemail they left me and my appointment paper that says 10:30 and they said well we have 11. Avoid this place

The worst Dentist! I have had nearly every appointment this year rescheduled or canceled and this morning they cancelled on me 15min before I was leaving. Which is a huge inconvenience because I'm a single mom of 2 and had to get care for both my children because they don't allow you to bring your children unless there is another adult there.
So I had to spend money on sitter because my appointments are always rescheduled or cancelled and I have urgent work that needs to be done. As a patient we are required to give 24hr notice if cancelling yet they can call you 30 min before your appointment and cancel. When calling back to speak to a manager I was told there wasn't a manager on duty yet she placed me on hold and comes back to tell me the manager is who called to cancel my appointment.
So they lied, there was a manager on duty. Then the lady tells me the appointment looks like it wasn't cancelled it is for 10am. I said well my appointment was for 9:30am and the "manager" just called to cancel it and now your saying she didn't. I got a huge run around and then ultimately she asked me to hold and then transferred me to a voicemail for complaints. Let's just say I'm fed up and filed a complaint with BBB.

Went for an annual preventive physical checkup, which should've been totally free under Covered California. They didn't code it as preventive, so they charged me $75 copay, & $33 for blood test. After 12 calls, 5 emails & a fax, billing department is nearly impossible to contact, & I can't reach anyone who can help me. Not going back ever again.

My favorite clinic in Novato. I trust them because they take care of you and they make you feel comfortable and cared for. I love my doctors and the nurse; they are so kind and they answer your questions. They sit down and listen to you. I kid you not this is far my favorite place. Thank you to the staff for making my doctor experience great and getting my appointment right away! You guys are rock stars!

Today I went to the dentist. something I do not enjoy doing. It is painful and uncomfortable and today that was not the case. I first was greeted by Daniela C. The receptionist and she was lovely! She was very welcoming and polite. She told me about the services and helped me update my account with MCC. She checked me in and Carlos quickly came out and called my name. Carlos was also very polite and happy to do his job.
He made me feel very comfortable and began setting up the room for the dentist. My dentist James Preble was also happy to be there and ready to work. He began by explaining what we would be doing today. During my procedure he was polite and conversating. By the time we were finished I felt no pain and was glad I came in today and received excellent service!
I hope I get Carlos and James again when I return! This visit is hands down the best treatment I've received from staff. Thank you MCC for hiring excellent people to provide for us service.

This was one of my best experiences with dental work, and I've had plenty! I came in for a fairly complex procedure to replace a gold filling that had fallen out. It was in a precarious position, being at the very back of my mouth. The care, consideration, and palpable skill of Dr. Pomerantz & Jennifer were exceptional in every way. They kindly explained each part of the procedure and patiently listened to my questions & concerns.
I am generally anxious at the dentist and felt so blessed to have been so comfortable and cared for. In addition, the front desk staff was very hospitable and professional. It's amazing that this level of care is so affordable & accessible.

Both my teenage kids have been seen for initial consults at the Novato Dental Clinic and had horrible experiences. My oldest daughter was traumatized after her initial consult. The dentist was demeaning, cold, compassion-less and very unprofessional! He told my daughter she would need minimally 4-5 root canals and proceeded to show her a You Tube video.
A root canal is a last resort treatment and he absolutely should not have discussed this with her alone. I followed up to discuss her experience and he blatantly lied and was cold as ice. I highly recommend you stay away from Dr. Tu Nguyen! We may file an official complaint with Dental Board. This was a nightmare experience for my daughter and we will NEVER go back!
