The people who work here are a mixed bag. Some are quite friendly, others, not so much. The service could use some work. The main point of issue that I have, is that I was never seen on time. I'm sure that if I was even 10 minutes late to an appointment, it would be cancelled and I would be billed as no-show. Yet they have the nerve to make me wait an hour + every time I have an appointment. Zero respect for my time as a patient, and that's not great.

I am not happy with the service and care I received from Dr. Montgomery. Several times I had appointments with him as I have a history of having kidney stones. I was in and out of the e.r. multiple times and all I was told by him was that I would pass the stone. Several e.r. visits later and a still stuck stone I was able to be seen another provider/care facility that treated my issue promptly and with better manners other than just being told I would pass the stone.
I am disappointed in this office and the care or lack there of that they didnt provide. I will not recommend this office at all or particularly Dr. Montgomery. My rating is a negative 1!

I've been working with Dr. Montgomery dealing with a kidney stone that I had been misinformed about with the reno urologist office. Dr. Montgomery is very good at explaining the procedure and everything involved. He was able to answer the questions I had about the process and fix all the misinformation i had been given previously. I highly recommend this office especially if you are young and don't understand what may be happening to you when you are in severe amounts of pain like I was.

I absolutely can't stand this office. Never once have I been made to feel comfortable. The first visit they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars when I KNEW that the visit was covered by my insurance. The doctor made me feel belittled and spoke to me about my own body in a condescending way as if I had no idea what I was feeling and I was overreacting. If you have the option to go somewhere else, do it!

Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to the doctors, their medical assistants and the administrative team at Carson Urologists. They are extraordinary. The medical care has been absolutely phenomenal. I am grateful to have them. In addition to the medical skills of the Doctors and their assistants, I appreciate the friendly, informative care received throughout their office.
I always feel welcomed and am always informed about my status and procedures. I have had a relationship with them through kidney cancer, bladder cancer and kidney failure. Although serious medical issues, I have no doubt that my current healthy state is because of this medical team. There is a friendly, caring attitude with every member of the staff. I believe that starts at the top. My thanks to all for such quality care! Share review Write an update Edit review Remove review

I was referred to Dr. Nixon by my primary care physician, Leslie McGraw. He ran several tests and determined i had prostate cancer. He did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and explaining all the options. He provided 2 books and excellent consultation. I decided on the robotic surgery and was referred to Dr. Montgomery. He explained the procedure and helped me prepare.
He performed the surgery on April 17th and it was a total success. Dr. Montgomery and his highly skilled staff took great care of me showed kindness and compassion throughout. After checking in, all I remember was waking up in recovery and receiving great care. There were no bloody bandages and the scars were minimal and healing quickly. This incredible team saved my life and I would highly recommend anyone that needs this service to consider Dr. Montgomery.

My daughter has been a patient at Carson Urologists for 2 years. She unfortunately suffers from bed wetting so we were referred to Dr. Cunningham with Carson Urologists. Our 1st visit was basically a waste with no great advice, just that we'll see how things change in a year which at the time I understood since that's how it goes with bed wetting.
I understand that most kids just need to "grow out of it." When I scheduled her 2nd appointment for a year later I thought I was scheduling to see Dr. Cunningham again since that's who we were referred to and he already knew our situation. Instead of Dr. Cunningham we were scheduled with an assistant which I may have been fine with had they told me that we would not be seeing Dr. Cunningham.
The assistant was horrible with my daughter who was 10 at the time. He had no sensitivity to the fact that a 10 year old girl would more than likely feel embarrassed for having to be at an appointment to discuss her bed wetting. He was rude, abrupt, and talked to her in a way that made her feel like she was doing something wrong which was why she was wetting the bed.
He finally suggested that we change her diet and add more fiber and give her a special kind of tea called Smooth Move at bedtime because he felt she was constipated and that may have been causing the bed wetting. Well we tried that for a few weeks but the tea tasted horrible and drinking tea at bed time would make ANYONE wet the bed! So that just wasn't realistic and I decided to stop with it.
He wanted us to come back in 3 months but I called at least 2 months in advance and pushed her next appointment out a year. About a month before that appointment I called to reschedule it because we were going to be out of town and told them that I would call back after our trip to reschedule. When I called back the man that answered the phone was rude and unprofessional.
When I gave him my daughters date of birth he said he had to put me on hold. He came back and said he had to talk to his supervisor since I had cancelled several times already. His supervisor told him that they would schedule ONE MORE appointment for me and if I didn't keep it they would have to discharge my daughter as a patient! I would understand this logic if we just never showed up for appointments but I gave them plenty of notice when I called to reschedule each time.
I was blown away! I told them never mind and that I'd find another urologist for my daughter. **One more side note - when you have an appointment with Carson Urologist, you will sit in the waiting room for a very long time before you get called back to a room - which you will then sit for a long time in the room. You will be there for AT LEAST an hour for your short appointment.
