I initially went to Jervey Eye Group about 13 years ago prior to moving out of state. When I moved back to the Greenville area recently I came back to the Jervey Eye Group. They have always been very professional in providing the services I needed. I never have to wait but a few minutes to be seen by one of their doctors. The doctors are very knowledgeable, gentle and kind when treating you. The other staff, receptionists, and technicians are very pleasant and proficient in performing their duties.

We have been going here since my 8-year-old was a baby and we've never had a bad experience never had anybody rude. She's real easy going with them they put eye drops her eyes never have to fight with her I have to fight with her at home. She told me she's going to be going to this eye doctor for the rest of her life.

They saw my daughter right away! & Dr Davis was amazing he was very quick and efficient. Because doing a eye exam on a very wiggly 1 year old is not easy. He gave me diagnosis as well on my 1 year old. The staff are so friendly too! I'm happy he is now my daughter eye Dr! I highly recommend Dr Davis at jervey eye!

This will be my first Yelp review and I hope the management of Jervey Eye group sees this at some point. My wife called today to ask questions about contacts. She said the girl at the front desk was extremely rude. Refused to show concern for the issue. After reading other reviews, customer service seems to be a large issue for Jervey Eye Group. I do not expect the site to fix the issue but being willing to listen and possibly give ideas to help fix an issue. Treating people with respect goes a long way to retaining a customer base.
I attempted to leave a comment on their web site to give them a chance to acknowledge the issue before I posted for the world to see, but they only have a phone number. In the past we had issues getting Glasses that were ordered ( before COVID Supply issues) and quality of the glasses that we received. We said those could be just isolated instances but now I see that the customer service has no management or customer care. This type of customer care will eventually cause people to stop using them regardless of how good the doctors are.

Once I was actually there at my appointment, I was quite pleased with everything. They were very nice and helpful and prices weren't bad (yay insurance). BUT the person I spoke to on the phone setting up my appointment was so incredibly rude I feel compelled to knock a star off an otherwise painless experience.

I have been a patient at Jervey Eye Group for years. Because doctors come and go over the years, every one of them I had, was very interested in keeping my eyes in great condition. My doctor I have now has brought me through a severe trauma and I feel confident in his advise. This is why Jervey Eye group deserves an EXCELLENT.5 STAR GRADE!

From the front desk staff to optical associates, my experience was wonderful. Dr. Whaley is now my favorite and I will not see anyone else. Lisa in the Optical department was TOP NOTCH! She went above and beyond helping me pick out the frame that best suited my face. She was very nice, knowledgeable and personable.

Dr Whaley was great. My new favorite eye doctor. She was efficient and very friendly. A pleasure. I had a big order - 5 pairs of special order glasses and Kelsey was super in helping me out. Very patient and fun to talk to. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. They came to help right away when there were questions. For the amount of work, I was in and out surprisingly quickly.

We've been coming to Jervey for the last 3 years. Our care was transferred to Dr Davis after our initial MD retired. They've always taken great care of my children but goodness the amount of time we spend waiting to see the doctor is extreme. The last few appointments have taken well over an hour and a half to two hours and sometimes even more than that.
The wait to even see the doctor can be more than 30-45 minutes. This is pretty extreme with small children. Once we're back to an actual exam room, the wait can be another 30 minutes or more. I really enjoy the care that is provided but I wish they could schedule differently so the patients didn't have to take wait quiet as long.

My visit went great! Doctor and assistant was very helpful! However I had one major issue in the waiting room and that was the water fountain. It's one of those old school types that shoots up a stream of water in the air. The pressure on this one way way too high and it soaked my shirt, face and not to mention their carpet. They need a good point of use system like a Waterlogic cooler that also is super filtered and treated with UV light at point of dispense and doesn't soak the user and carpet.

I saw Bradley Gustave, M.D. I did not care for him or his nurse. This was my first appointment with them. The nurse came in and "her" stool was sitting in front of my husband. She looks at my husband and barks "I need MY stool", (you need to understand the attitude that went with this). My husband said I didn't take your stool, it was here when I came in.
Then she asked me if I wanted a prescription? I said "Excuse me, I don't understand your question". "Do you want a prescriptions." she stated again. I said "Well, I guess I'll need a prescription if I need new glasses". She did the standard test with no great enthusiasm. Well then Gustave came and all I can say is he wasn't any better than his nurse. Thankfully I didn't need glasses. LOL I would stay away from this guy and his nurse!

Awful customer service unless you direct your concerns to management. Had my glasses wrong and had to come back multiple times. What I found awful is the lack of professionalism even though I have bough my kids glasses and mine there as well as I have seen these doctors since we relocated three years ago. A shame just one person can definitely ruin your experience as a patient and client. Aside from that, good scheduling and good doctor for pediatrics.

Old grey haired receptionist with lesbian haircut (no offense to my lesbian sisters) was extremely rude. I walked in and told her I was here for the first time and wasn't sure where to go. She asked who my doctor was and I said I wasn't sure. She rudely said I needed to know and offered no help in checking who it was. She then said I need to sign in and if I didn't they wouldn't accept me.
She then told me to sit down. 5 minutes later she then says I need to fill out some paper work. During me filling out my paper work she made an in Unnecessary remark about my age and that I'm too young to fully understand all of the paper work. I almost walked out then. Someone needs to tell her not be so blunt and out right rude, especially to new patients.
Besides her, the assistant I was assigned was super nice and fun to talk to, and my experience was quick and nice. I left satisfied, but someone really needs to train the older lady in the waiting area by the glasses displays in some basic customer service skills.

First of all, my original review was deleted! That just shows how seriously they take their customers opinion. Now for my first ever horrible experience with any doctor: I went in for a reoccurring sty in my left eye. While I tried to explain to the doctor that I have worn contacts for the last 15 years with no issue and especially since I've had a sty I am extra careful.
Instead of giving insight as to what I could be improved to help my situation, all the doctor did was pass snide remarks. Literally super rushed, rude, obnoxious and even questioning my intelligence and asking my how I was an engineer since I took time to answer his questions during a vision test. If these are the kind of doctors they have, here I really question their seriousness in providing quality healthcare service to people.
Overall really horrible experience. Would never recommend this place or going back! P.S. please do not delete this review, this isn't a hole in the wall restaurant, it is healthcare service you provide. Please take negative feedback with a grain of salt instead of shoving it under the carpet.

It has taken me over a week and several phone calls to get prior authorization for a prescription written during my first AND last visit. The doctor was fine, but there is absolutely NO reason for a business to treat a patient this way. My pharmacy faxed over necessary forms 3 times, and never got a response. I called 3 times, left messages, left on hold, never got to talk to the practice manager, and finally, after a very forceful conversation with whomever answered the phone on my 4th try, was connected to the doctor's secretary.
She said that she never received a fax, asked me to "hold on", came back on the phone and said she found the fax on her co-worker's desk but it had just been sent to them this morning! So, I haven't had my medicine that was ordered over a week ago! Unacceptable! I WON'T be going back.don't need this aggravation.

HORRIBLE experience! When I made the appointment I informed them that they were not to dilate my daughters eyes. No comment was made by the staff that indicated that would be an issue. During appointment, Dr. Ballanger wanted to dilate my daughters eyes and I said no. He argued with me for several minutes and had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't dictate what he was allowed to do or not do.
He apparently needs a refresher course on what "consent" means! He then had the nerve to say that I should have informed the staff of the issue with dilation when I made the appointment. I DID! He tried to continue to say I was at fault. they then wanted to charge me over $100 for contact fitting fee (on top of the regular exam) and over $200 for a three month supply. This price was quoted WITHOUT even knowing what type of contact lenses she would need and MUST be ordered through them (AKA kickback). This man was a complete JERK!

Went for an eye exam and was supposed to be scheduled for a contact lens fitting. Ended up getting a second eye exam, which I was billed for, instead of a contact lens fitting. 8 months later and I've yet to be scheduled for a contact lens fitting. When I call they say they tried contacting me (they have the correct email and phone number) but couldn't get in touch with me so they never made the appointment. When I ask for an appointment they say they're completely booked and will have to call with an appointment date, of which I never get.

Start your eyecare journey somewhere else unless you want it to be The Odyssey. I have been trying for four months to get the contact lens I need for very bad vision in one eye. The first doc was two hours late to call me back (had had that experience before at annual check-ups). The second doc I was then referred to had to reschedule on me TWICE with no apologies or concessions from the staff.
I have now been waiting over three weeks for a contact lens that was supposed to arrive after one week, and the number I need to call for the contact lens department goes straight to voicemail - they haven't returned my message in two days.

I highly recommend this group, I have gone to the same eye dr for almost 15 years and while I like my eye dr, the customer service is horrible. A friend suggested Jervey. I have been there 3 times and every visit has been great. Thanks for being attentive and treating your customers well, something that is hard to find these days.

We took our 5 month old son here and had a terrible experience. For being the most commonly talked-about and recommended by pediatricians, we were completely disappointed. I would rate them zero stars if I could. He told us our son needed surgery and when we said we wanted to get a second opinion. He got very angry and offended. THANK GOODNESS for that second opinion, where we realized that our son should have had his eyes dilated for the doctor to make that kind of recommendation.
When we had a real, accurate, and dilated exam in a different eye doctor's office, we learned that my son's condition did require surgery, but at a different angle than the Jervey doctor had said. Beware!

I do not recommend this office at all. I have had an appointment for over 2 months for a new patient appointment. The eye condition I have is a very serious condition. (Corneal Transplant). The secretary just called me an hour before my appointment to tell me that the doctor had an appointment. They couldn't give me the courtesy to call as soon as they knew of his appointment.
This was unacceptable for me. She was not apologetic and I wasn't even given a "this was an emergency for him or anything". I work in medical and I can understand these type of things. She was very nonchalant and rude asking me to just hold on that she had another call and she would have to reschedule me. I asked if I can be seen by another doctor in the office to accommodate me and she point blank said "no".
As a new patient referral, you would think they would have been more apologetic. Now, if I had cancelled an hour before my appointment I would have been charged for a cancellation fee. This was so unnecessary and unprofessional. I was very upset but this is not a business I would refer anyone to.
