We had a great experience here. Dr. Koop is amazing. We were seen right away, her staff was helpful and friendly, the office was clean and we will be back. Our family has had a variety of eye issues over the years and are familiar with many optometrists, opthalmologists, and eye surgeons in the area. We have worked with many great eye docs, but no one has been more thorough or spent more time with us trying to get the best prescription possible than Dr Koop. She is familiar with excellent specialists and knows how to get her patients the best help. Whatever your eye needs are, start here first.

I decided to give these people the benefit of the doubt and guess what? A disappointment AGAIN. I went in needing a history of my passed eye exams and the lady told me to sit down and she will update me about insurance and my papers. I sit patiently for 30 mins and I see her wandering around the store. I go up to her and ask the front desk lady if the other lady got any new information, she told me she's on lunch break and to just wait.okay fine.
I go up to the other lady and she says your papers have been ready for a while now and they were sitting on her desk. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? Aren't you supposed to update your costumers? This place is seriously ridiculous. Management needs to sit down with this staff and see why they are so rude and so inaccommodating. NEVER AGAIN. I wasted my money on this company. Update: went to a different nationwide location and even the staff over there said they have heard many complaints about this location! other costumers who were shopping joined in on the conversation and said that they would never come back to this location and were even hesitant to try out another nationwide location. These people need to step up their costumer service, I have heard the most ridiculous things about the people who work here. DO BETTER!

I had a wonderful experience at this location! First and foremost, Bonnie (from previous reviews) was not there and the front desk girls were both awesome! The eye tech was super friendly and the Dr. was so nice and knowledgeable. I only wanted a new prescription for my contacts and was not pressured into also getting glasses (that has happened to me before). I will absolutely be going back for my next eye exam!

I had some eye pain and got worse as the day went on. I walked in a hour before they closed, explained what I was experiencing. The staff seemed genuinely concerned and they were super friendly. The women at the front desk told me they were on their last two patients but she would discuss my symptoms with the doctor. A couple minutes later the doctor came up and took me right in.
She was so sweet, making sure I was ok and comfortable. I was prescribed some medication and felt better later that evening. I so appreciate what they did and helping me feel better so quickly, especially just walking in so close to closing.

I was there December 18th for glasses and contacts and to figure out why my eye is so dry. The usual doctor wasn't there. There was a gentleman covering for her. He didn't listen to anything I said nor wanted. The ladies on the floor were great. But it is now January 17th and I'm still waiting for my trial pair of contacts. This has been the worse experience I've had with them. Only good part was the ladies who helped with my glasses.

First time visit at this location on 11/6. An older man was my Dr. and he was quick and thorough, explained what questions he was going to be asking and what answers he needed to get the perfect lenses for my eyes. I should've picked out my frames before my eyes were dilated BUT Bonnie was super helpful and helped me pick out the cutest frames and understood exactly what I meant when I asked if the style on one pair was "turtle?" she knew I actually meant "tortoise". Looking forward to picking up my glasses! Thanks Nationwide Anthem :

We've been going to this location for years and have always had a good experience with the doctors and the staff. One of my girls has special needs with her eyes and they have always been patient and attentive in addressing my concerns. My husband and one of my daughters had their appointments yesterday, we're in and out with exams, contacts, and glasses ordered in about an hour and a half. We drive to this location from Arrowhead simply because we like them so much.

Recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, I went to buy a pair of glasses. My caregiver was told she had to wait outside. We were told that they don't make COVID-19 laws they just enforce them. I got my script and was treated like a king at Costco. These people are rude and simply uncaring. Oh it was the manager who escorted the caregiver out. Do not recommend!

Eva and Dr Koop were excellent. It is unfortunate that Bonnie (the assistant manager) is responsible for the one star review, and the majority of one star online reviews. She is unfit to be working with customers, especially in the serious setting of eye care and eye health. I have very serious concerns about her extreme lack of integrity and inability to control her emotions. Based on my experience, Bonnie is solely focused on herself and closing a sale, for her own selfish needs, to the point that she is being dishonest.
She does not represent Nationwide Vision or herself in a professional manner at all. She alone is ruining this company's reputation. I feel sorry for the good employees who work there, because Nationwide is failing them and their customers by keeping Bonnie employed. I will be filing a formal complaint based on my experience with her, and I will be taking it to the highest level with proof to back up my claims.
She was aggressive, domineering, rude, and dishonest. She was also lax with Covid precautions, which is never acceptable in a healthcare setting. All the other employees were fine. it was just her. Tip for any customers.if dealing with Bonnie, record the conversation.

After reading the reviews from over the past year here, I must say I was a little hesitant taking my 7 year old to get an eye exam. He had his appointment today and I was very happy with the service we received! The lady who greeted us to take our paperwork and check us in was super friendly. The young woman who did the pre-exam was pleasant and patient with my little one who is terrified of the eye drops.
And the doctor was amazing. He did a great job with my son, made him feel comfortable and answered any questions he had, including the artwork on the walls lol. My only complaint is the small selection for kids and the prices of the glasses on display were pretty expensive, especially for children's frames. I thought all staff there was helpful, friendly and maintained a clean environment. Would definitely go back based on my experience today.

Went to get exam, had to wait 30 minutes, Dr. Lamb was very, very rude, when exam was done I asked had my prescription changed, he stated no. I said great then I don't need to get new glasses yet, he then said, "well what are you doing here then?" He became pissed because I wasn't buying anything, walked back in his exam room and slammed the door. I told the staff how rude to do that. None of them offered an apology. Never, Ever will I go back!

Definitely will not choose nationwide again. The front desk staff while not overly friendly were decent. I did have to wait a half an hour after my appointment that's OK because I wasn't going anywhere it was just annoying though. My dissatisfaction comes from the doctor on duty. Without going into detail he was just one miserable person who seemed like he absolutely hated his job.
He was very easily frustrated. I couldn't wait to get over the exam. It was like I was annoying him. It was when I wouldn't take one of his suggestions that he became extremely arrogant. Won't ever go back there.

We have been here twice now and the wait is a little longer but it's well worth it. The doctor is very thorough with his examinations and spends the necessary time to do it right. When it comes to your eyes, no concerns about that at all. We got contacts and glasses for my daughter and she never complains about the prescription bothering her eyes because the doc is so detailed. Additionally, the lady's up front are incredibly nice and know good customer service.

Went to pick up my glasses and was treated rudely. I put the new glasses on and couldn't see out of them. I was told I needed a new prescription. I had an eye exam a few days before ordering from nationwide. I suggested they adjust the glasses. Boy they we're doing me a great favor with the adjustment. My bifocals were off, but again the problem was with my eyes not the new lenses. I'll never go back there again.

This was my second time visiting Nation Wide Vision on a Friday afternoon, and I have to say that truly, everyone at this office is wonderful. The front office staff are sweet, efficient and take care of all insurance queries quickly. The back office staff lady is pleasantly conversant while taking care of all her duties in a way that is quick but thorough and Dr. Blumenthol who I saw is just a very down to earth gentleman.
He is personable, intelligent and listens well! Even when it came down to picking new frames and ordering new contacts, all the financials were covered prior so as to help me if I needed to budget insurance coverage. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Highly HIGHLY do not recommend coming to this location. The front desk ladies are extremely rude. Treat you like an idiot. Honestly seem like they have no idea what they are doing. Your average wait time will be about 2 hours. The optometrist works very slow as well. Seriously find a different location! I've been coming here for about 5 years and it's just gotten worse and worse every check up!

I injured my eye 10 days and still had soreness so simply wanted confirmation that I didn't have an infection. This is one of the Dr's on my insurance list. Had a 9AM appt., wasn't called by the Dr till 10.long after the variety of tests were done that are typical for an eye exam.which I was NOT there for. The Dr was good; however, office staff is horrible!
After seeing Dr., I was standing at desk in front of 3 people to pay and was "told" to take a seat by the office manager. I said that I needed to go otherwise I would be late for another Dr appt and was told again that I needed to wait. I allotted 1.5 hours for this simple appt which should have more than sufficient. My time is valuable. I will never go here again because not only do they clearly very think little of my time, the office manager is disrespectful and rude.

I am not sure where the negative reviews come from? I have never had a bad experience at this office with the Dr's or staff. Yesterday was my second visit to this office for an exam and new frames/lenses. The staff is always friendly and personable. I also appreciate their sense of humor! (Imaginary Friend) Keep up the great work!

I have been going to this location for about 13 years to get my eye exam and my contacts. Up until yesterday the service has been great, the front office has always been great. My experience with Mr. James Blumenthal O.D. was extremely unprofessional from beginning to end. If Mr. Blumenthal is still at this location when I need my next eye exam I will find a different location. Mr. Blumenthal treated me like I was an 18 year old irresponsible adult. Mr. Blumenthal would not listen to me, he just assumed that I had been over wearing my contacts when in fact I do change them every month.
When I attempted to explain that I ordered my second set of contacts through another store, he questioned "when" because the prescription expires after a year. I've been getting my eyes checked, on my own for over 25 years, I think I know that an prescription expires after a year. I felt like he was trying to catch me in a lie. While looking at my history he mentioned that his "girlfriend" was the one who did my exam last time. Ok, I'm not sure why this is relevant. I'm easy going so the comment didn't bother but after everything else that happened in the appointment, I realized how unprofessional this was.
He referred to one my very common medications that has nothing to do with my eyes as "very powerful". Again, a comment he could have kept to himself and I can have that conversation with the doctor that prescribes it. He asked me if I was still able to read things up close because I'm at that age where I will soon need readers. I told him I know the time is coming and I'm ok with it.
I told him I didn't have any problem reading close, but he proceeded to tell me that my prescription has probably changed since I haven't been in for over two years and that I would probably need readers. He proceeded to tell me where I could buy readers in anticipation that I would need to buy them. After the exam it was concluded I don't need readers yet.
I would have understood where he was coming from in the lecture at the beginning if I was over wearing my contact, but if he would have listened to me he would have realized that I have been using my contacts as directed. I told him that I change my contacts every month as I change that certain "powerful" prescription. He replied that "now you are telling me something that I just don't need to know". Really?
At the end of the appointment as I was getting up to leave he told me to grab my "suitcase", a.k.a. purse. I don't carry big purses. I felt like that was his last unprofessional "dig". I'm still in shock by this persons unprofessionalism.

I really hate going to the eye doctor, but out of all the places I've been, Nationwide is the best. The staff is much nicer than some of the other places I've been (ahem EyeMasters) and they're usually able to get you same-day appointments. They're also very understanding when I have mild (okay, severe) freakouts over that damn glaucoma test.
I can't even put it into words how much I hate it. You have to lean your eye up against it and watch as a needle-looking thing comes straight at it, and then puffs right in your eye. It's horrifying. I can never do it either. My eye starts going all crazy and fluttering and there's nothing I can do to make it stop. It's actually really embarrassing, but they're always nice about it and don't make me feel like a psycho. All in all, if you have to get your eyes checked, this is a good, reasonably priced place to do it.
