Services
Pendleton Pediatrics follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. We require all children in our practice to be immunized according to one of two schedules, preferably with the well established CDC schedule.
You have become proud parents! After months of preparation, pregnancy, and then labor and delivery, a moment's relief in the hospital and now, on the verge of discharge, reality and panic have set in! What now? As pediatricians and parents ourselves, we know what you are feeling and we have prepared this pamphlet to help you get started on the best possible footing with your newborn baby.
Baby Connect - You can record nursing, pumping, and bottle feedings as well as sleep, development, and even the baby's mood. The app also stores important medical information like doctor visits, blood type, allergies, and current medications. When you're away, your caregiver can use the free web interface to log information as well.
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. We now know that there is not one autism but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences.
Fever is a normal, helpful response to infection that frequently accompanies a minor illness, but sometimes is a symptom of a serious infection such as meningitis. Only at a level of 106°F or greater is fever itself dangerous. About 5% of toddlers may have a convulsion with high fever. After 2 months of age you child's appearance (rather than the height of the temperature) is the best indicator of the seriousness of the illness.

I've been taking my kids here since I moved to AZ a year ago. My 1 year old and 8 year old both are well cared for by the doctors. I especially love Dr. Pendleton, she is fantastic with children. My 1 year old is very shy and wary of people, but does well with Dr. Pendleton. My 8 year old is comfortable with the doctors he has seen. It is very easy to get a same day appointment if your child is sick or experiencing a medical issue.

My son has been going here since he was 2. I have nothing but amazing things to say about everyone in the office. Judith is awesome. She sure knows how to make a doctors appointment fun for a kid with autism. They also have a sensory room in the back that really helped my son especially when he had to get shots. We started our autism journey at this office and Heather (the care coordinator) was so great!
She took all my calls and answered all my questions. She helped by providing a lot of referrals for various places we could go for assistance. I appreciate all the support we received on our journey. They definitely do a great job at listening to parents concerns and making sure you have everything you need to help your child. Thanks for much to the entire team!

I called this office because my daughters former doctor, Annie Nguyen, joined this practice. Dr. Nguyen was formerly with Sonoran Skys in Mesa, which is now closed. The website directed us to Pendleton Pediatrics. The nurse replied and told us to call Sonoran Skys. Which part of closed does she not understand? She is not even aware of the doctors in the office she works.

Dr. Pendleton is a really great doctor and if it wasn't for her front desk staff I would have give 5 star. I would trust my baby with Dr. Pendleton anytime. However, her billing representative is so rude. I had a change in insurance and knew the office was out of network, which was fine because I still had out of network insurance and was willing to pay more just to stay with Dr. Pendleton.
Now mind you I have always paid on time and even have credits in my account for over paying so there was no issue. I received a phone call from the billing representative at the office telling me I should find a new doctor because they are now out of network. I was thrown off because that's a great way to start a call off. No, "I'm sorry" or "we can still see you but you would pay out of pocket".
Just "find a new doctor". I advised the representative I had out of network and didn't care because I would be fine paying more just to stay with this doctor. ( mind you she already cancelled my daughters appointment I had in a couple days). So she said "fine" and rescheduled my daughters appointment. After this conversation I wanted to let it go but she was so rude and when I came in the office to talk to her in person to make sure everything was taken care of she just had an attitude like I was the problem.
So after that appointment I couldn't let it go about how rude she was and followed her advise and found a new doctor and nicer office staff. :) So long story short. Doctor great. Front desk and billing representative. rude.

This office is the absolute worse. The doctors are nice but seem to not really care. The front desk staff and billing are the absolute worse. They are always charging for things they did not do at the office for example charging me for a developmental screening for my daughters 2 year check up. I do not suggest this place for anyone.

Dr. Pendleton is great. However, I don't like the way their billing works. I asked the front desk to schedule the well visit but mentioning that our son has a blocked tear ducts since birth which is a common condition and noticing that his left eyelid with the blocked tear duct was a bit red. They said we will be billed twice for sick visit and well visit for one visit so in the end we only scheduled for sick visit for the red eyelid skipping the well visit to avoid double billing.
They also give us a 10 questions care giver questionnaire (question like are you mostly happy?) everytime we bring our child for a well visit but once you filled it you will start receiving additional bill in the mail for that caregiver questionnaire.

My children have been seen at Pendleton Pediatrics since 2012. A few months ago, I was surprised to receive a bill for services which were never rendered, titled "chronic care". These charges were also submitted to my insurance company. I immediately called and explained that I would not be paying the bill, and left a message for Dr. Pendleton requesting an explanation of why I was being billed for something that never occurred.
No one from the practice responded. Two weeks ago, I took one of my children in for acute care, and at the end of that appointment, I again asked the physician if she could tell me why I was being billed for these services that were never provided. She went to check, and said that she was informed by Dr. Pendleton that it had been taken care of and that a letter had been sent - a letter that we had never received. Today, I did receive a letter in the mail officially discharging my children from their practice.
While my children are no longer welcome there, they still have not addressed the issue of billing me and my insurance incorrectly. I gave two stars, because the care at this practice used to be patient centered, however, it seems that they have grown too quickly and now have no controls over the implementation of their policies. It is very disappointing that instead of owning up to and addressing their errors, they prefer to simply discharge patients.

We've been taking our son to Pendleton for 5 years, and our daughter since she was born. We LOVE this office, and all the docs and NPs we've worked with. They always have gotten us in same day if we've needed it, and genuinely care about our kids. I highly recommend this office and staff to all parents.

Great experience and have to commend all the staff I had contact with from phone call to exit. Very patient with all my questions and concerns, especially vaccines. Cindy has wonderful bedside manner and my son really appreciated that. Her medical assistant was awesome in checking on vaccination dates and info. And they squeezed my daughter in for her overdue vaccination at the same time where my previous doctor's office would have made me come back. Very happy with this office.

We love Dr. Pendleton! She has been our pediatrician for almost three years. She thoroughly answers my questions and takes her time during every visit. She genuinely cares for my girls. I also appreciate the nurse line I can call anytime- my calls are returned very promptly. My family is beyond grateful we have found such an outstanding pediatrician!

After researching many different pediatricians for my daughter I finally chose Pendleton and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is always friendly! The office and patient rooms are always clean, tidy and welcoming (not scary or intimidating). My daughter loves going for sick or well checks and loves seeing Dr. Judy & her staff. I am so blessed to have found such a great office for our family.
