Dr. Ed Kwan is by far the best plastic surgeon on Fifth Avenue. His eye for perfection becomes evident when people look at the new you he has created. He has the talent of an artist, and it shows; it is what makes the difference and distinguishes him from the rest.

Dr. Kwan is a wonderful doctor. Not only is Dr. Kwan caring, dependable & proactive, he is also a few steps ahead of his industry peers when it comes to using cutting edge technology in surgical procedures. I have asked him 5 times for my records which I am legally entitled to get. He refuses to send me my file or tell me what he added to the anesthesia that made me sick for days. I have reported him to NYS department of Health, Office of medical misconduct.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kwan! My 70+ year old mother recently had a bad fall and scratched up her face. Dr. Kwan was very caring in assessing her situation, giving her special cream and stitching up one cut that had gone deeper than the others. A couple of weeks later, her cuts are completely healed and you can only tell that she scratched herself up if you know what you are looking for. Especially given my mother's age, such a miracle. We are so grateful!

I care about reviews and for many years I have been leaving reviews based on my own personal experiences hoping they can help some people in someways. I had a 30+ years old burn scar on my face from my childhood. All these years I have been searching for a good doctor who can remove them for me. It was almost 3 years ago I first started the consultation then we started the first"cut".

Few months after my left side scar was almost like it's "gone"! Which was a wonderful result. Small cut line, almost can not be seen. But the right side of this burn scar was not as "invisible " and I was not too happy with the result so a year later we tried 2nd time" cut". Well, long story short, I was not too happy still and I went to see the doctor after "COVID", he looked at the scar and huge different results between left and right.

He suggested to try the 3rd time to make the cutting line less visible by pulling skin from the good area skin instead of the burn side of skin. He thought, it might be because the burn skin has low active cells and recovery abilities. I wasn't too sure about that but I was willing to try again and chose to trust his professionalism and his judgement. Well, finally it worked! The result was quite obvious and now with the active side of skin, the cutting line recovering very fast.

Dr. Kwan is excellent. Could not have asked for a better experience. Awesome guy and even better surgeon!

Dr. Kwan has an artistic eye and was able to exceed all of my expectations. From his beautifully designed office, his warm and friendly staff, to his surgical precision (no visible marks), I just can't say enough about his office and their professionalism. They also make sure you are ready and have everything you need in advance and follow up with you to make sure you are well while your recovery is underway. I highly recommend Dr. Kwan and his extensive skillset. He totally changed my life for the better.

This review is for Rebecca Kim. She works the front desk and handles all the appointments and paperwork. She is extremely rude and disrespectful. Horrible customer service. I can't believe Dr. Kwan allows this kind of behavior. She should be fired.

I don't know why it took me SO long to write this but I would NOT get eyelid surgery from this doctor. I have extremely bad ectropion (eyelids turning outwards) and it has affected my vision and I have dry eyes on a daily basis. Also, he has terrible bedside manners! Not very friendly and makes you feel rushed. I wish I did more research.

I had some work done by Dr. Edmund Kwan. He's great at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good plastic surgeon.

I had eye surgery many years ago it was bad; everyone all my friends who saw my double eye lid cut believe it was a failure. For all these years I spend lots of money to refix it but it's very difficult because the cut was so deep. The problem with the doctor is he doesn't seem listen to you - and the most funny part is he charged you for multiple procedures during consultation but he didn't do all of them during surgery; I had to go back to his office and ask for it then his staff refunded me, I wonder a real good responsible doctor would do something like that?!

Dr. Kwan and his staff was truly a pleasant place to have my work done. I must say they took their time and explained everything that was going to take place with me and my procedure. I want to take this time and thank Rebecca, you was truly an inspiration for me. Dr. Kwan if I ever decide to get another procedure done, you will be the first person I call. Highly recommended!

Dr. Kwan is a kind and compassionate doctor with great bedside manners. There is zero wait time with appointments. The skin graft he did with me was amazing. Staff are friendly. His offices are beautiful. I would strongly recommend Dr. Kwan for any of your reconstructive concerns.

First and foremost Rebecca and Dr. Kwan were so welcoming from day 1. My procedure went well without any complications. My recovery was smooth and my results are amazing. Dr. Kwan and his team were great and I would highly recommend him.

I had a cyst and my dermatologist recommend to find a surge to remove it, without a second thought, I went to Dr. Edmund Kwan's office directly for I have known Dr. Kwan and his wife Susan for years and that Dr. Kwan operated both on my sister and me years ago. Dr. Kwan has hands like a sculptor and eye of a painter with keen senses of aesthetics.

He fixed my sister's cleft lip so well that people could hardly take notice of it. Beyond being a brilliant and skillful surgeon, Dr. Kwan and his wife are decent human beings with beautiful souls. They have done many charitable works to travel to South America countries to operate surgery on poor people who could not afford operation because of poverty and other Barries to surgical access. Mrs. Susan Kwan also have been generously support my scholarship foundation in honor of my perished French Husband in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

I will never forget Dr. Kwan and Susan's kindness and generosity to my Family. I highly recommend Dr. Edmund Kwan to you for his superb skill and more for his humane and caring nature to patients.

Dr. Kwan and his team are very polite and helpful. The staff are very friendly! I've gotten a few procedures done from Dr Kwan. Very skillful and knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust any other plastic surgeon. They make calls everyday to check up on me after a surgery. All prices are fairly reasonable. I love that the procedures are done on site and not have to relocated else where. All and all I give this place a 5 star review.

Dr Kwan's care and bed side manners are excellent. He listens to your issues and recommends the best results. The nurse and office manager along with the rest of the staff are sweet and caring. They always take your call and answer any question you may have. Doctor Kwan is an expert in what he does and I'm totally happy with my results. I have referred friends and they have referred some of their friends and we are all beyond grateful and satisfied.

Dr Kwan is a brilliant surgeon, not only is he of the highest medical skills but just as importantly he has a terrific eye. His knowledge And appreciation of all things artistic, painting, sculpture, and architecture all add to the deep reservoir of vision and talent he brings to all the surgeries he performs. It's very upsetting that I went to Dr Kwan for a jaw reduction to remove muscle from my face in hopes it would help my teeth grinding. I know that Dr Kwan is not a dental surgeon but he is did assure me that it would work. Not only do I still grind my teeth, I was left with scarring around my mouth and was told by Dr Kwan that it was a bruise. Seven months after my procedure and I have brown spot on my lip that I couldn't even cover up.

I had to go to another plastic surgeon and paid $450 to have it removed and they laughed when I told them he said it was a bruise. I did everything Dr Kwan said I waited the amount of time he told me to wait to see if it would go away and I didn't.very disappointing. Dr Kwan should have removed the scar for free because I left there with something I didn't come with. I now found a wonderful surgeon who is much closer anyway.

Dr. Kwan performed 13 stitches on my son's eyebrow after a fall. He was very calm and reassuring to my son (and us) during the procedure. He was happy to answer questions. The stitches removal was quick and has healed well. He is a highly skilled surgeon and I am very happy to have had him as my son's doctor.

Called to have a mole on my shoulders removed but wouldn't use this doctor even for botox. Worst front office staff. Got disconnected few times, left on hold for over ten minutes, repeated my name three times to the dingbat receptionist who offered me the same time over and over even after I told her I can't do that time. I would not trust my face to anyone who runs such an office. Too much confusion and un professionalism.

Translation as per my mother: "I was looking to get rid of my cesarean and stretch marks. However, Dr Kwan made the mark even larger and darker. Dr. Kwan told me to wait for several months in order for the skin it to heal, but the marks only became darker. So the doctor told me that I will have to do the procedure once more to really get rid of the marks and he told me to pay for the anesthetic ($2k) prior to my procedure/scheduled appointment.

He had the nurse or assistant give me a peice of paper which she stated that if I signed, I would received my full refund. I then gave a three weeks notice to cancel the appointment and the office would not refund my money. I was super disappointed since they have not only ruined my skin but cheated and lied to me." Too bad I could not give this place a negative review.

He never took time with patient. He tries to take as many patients possible to make the most money. You can be a lucky one or be a victim. He was so rushed on my surgery since another surgery was scheduled right after me. My surgery went terribly wrong. My cheekbone looks even bigger than before and my right and left side is totally different. And cheekbone is sticking out one one side.

Dark grey bruise never goes away. My face became totally different and very ugly. Please think twice before you choose him. It was my mistake I went to his office even after I read some very bed reviews about him. I am still struggling. Angry every time I look at myself in mirror. Please do not make a mistake like me.

A few years ago, Dr. Kwan did the double eyelid procedure 3 times on me, all to no success (and I was charged for all revisions). The eyes are uneven and always look swollen. He also did my nose which looks NO different at all. It's not the best feeling to pay 3,500 for a nose that looks the same as it did before but feels like it's been messed with.

I constantly feel the tip of my nose shift around. That feels like more of a waste than the eyes. Going through your early 20s like this is awful. I feel even worse that my parents were so willing to pay for these procedures that turned out so terribly. I'm currently saving up to get the eyes fixed (not by him) and to pay my parents back for these procedures that ended up being a money pit. Looking in the mirror everyday with constant regret has been so painful.

He put stitch on his sinciput to my son who is 4 years old at Cornell Hospital. He said that you could visit my office after one week and then gave his business card to us. We made the appointment and waited too long hours in his office then he said that I am sorry, We don't accept your insurance, We can't remove his stitch here. I said what I am gonna do right now.

Why you did not tell us before. He is behavior and his staff was very rude, impolite and then they call next customer. Just the remove stitch, it will take only two second, he did not do it. I could not believe it. This is not matter insurance. I guess He is very greedy.

He did a precedure on me and it was horrible. He did not do the whole area for which i paid him for. He does not correct his mistakes unless you are willing to pay him again. He only cares about making money not on the quality of his work or making his clients happy. i am a victim of his. And i see now i am not the only one. He had lawsuits against him. Reguardless if he won them, it shows there are other victims.

He is nice at first And then once he is paid, ,H e rushes and does not take time with you only concerned to run into the next room to try to make more money with other people waiting to consult with him. He is a liar and really does not care. and i felt pain while under his knife. He said" but it looks better"

I highly recommend Dr. Kwan and I believe his rates are reasonable for Manhattan. He did my rhinoplasty in 2004 - there was virtually no pain and swelling and the recovery was quick. No one has been able to tell that I got a rhinoplasty after all these years. If I were to have another cosmetic procedure, I would go back to Dr. Kwan for it.

I've been going for years now and the office is professional and friendly. I'm very happy with the results.

Hello everyone! I had TWO surgeries by Dr. Kwan; the first in April 2009 and the second in November 2009. I had a breast augmentation and liposuction of my abdomen, flanks, thighs, knees and arms. I was VERY pleased with the results. I had liposuction from Dr. Howard Bellin in January of 2009 and he did a HORRIBLE JOB. He totally ignored my upper abdomen and created incredible waviness and distortion in my abdomen. Dr. Kwan CORRECTED his botched job. Dr, Kwan is an "in and out" type of surgeon.
