They were willing to accept payments for the billing of service when my son's insurance got canceled doing pandemic.

I am new to Asheville I have been to a couple of dermatologist but this one is the WORST! Dr Barton told me I cannot pay out of pocket for a procedure that my insurance doesn't cover. I have actually got the same procedure covered by my insurance before. I was just stunned by the lies, and laziness. Also Dr Barton, her assistant and two other women was crowded around quiet looking at the picture of my problem.

I just had a bad vibe like they was being unprofessional as if it's a joke. UPDATE:: I HAVE FOUND A MUCH BETTER DERMATOLOGIST. I FEEL LIKE DR. BARTON DIDNT LIKE ME OR WAS JUST BEING PLAIN OUT LAZY. I WENT TO DERMABLUE TODAY AND GOT EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED DONE! NOT TO MENTION MY INSURANCE COVERED EVERY LAST BIT OF THE PROCEDURE. DANIELLE AT DERMA BLUE WAS CARING, PROFESSIONAL, JUST GREAT! GO TO DERMA BLUE IF YOU HAVE KELOIDS WITH MELANIN SKIN. DR BARTON IS THE WORST NURSE PRACTITIONER I EVER ENCOUNTERED!

As a natural born ginger, I've been to a few dermatologists in western, NC. Dermatology Consultants is by far my favorite. They spend an adequate amount of time taking me through each procedure before it's done. Dr. Barton is hilarious and down to earth, which is important to me. I've noticed a great change to my skin since going!

Unprofessional. Can hear employees laughing at patients and talking about their reasoning for coming to the office for unknown skin concerns. What an unacceptable way to behave in an environment where people come to seek answers to something they don't know about!

"If the phone calls are recorded" pull the phone call conversations for billing. Take your money somewhere else.

Great staff, although not knowledgeable at all when it comes to diet/lifestyle and how that effects your skin/hair. No mention of the gut biome and its role in skin/hair health. Average experience that boils down to "put the lotion on your skin or else you get the hose again."

Dr. Barton was wonderful. She showed concern for my issues and immediately knew what the correct course of action was for my skin type. The whole staff was incredibly friendly. A huge thanks to your employee Mallory who recommended your practice! I have been an Asheville resident over 25 years and have never found a Dermatology Office as wonderful and caring as this one.

I had the privilege of being seen today by Dr. Michelle Barton. I was extremely impressed by her knowledge, compassion, and empathy, that she displayed to me during my visit. I highly recommend this Dr. and will be telling others about my awesome experience this afternoon.

Dr. Barton is skilled in dermatology and has been helpful in improving my symptoms. The office is very nice and staff is friendly.

Dr Barton n her staff were professional, helpful and knowledgeable. A clean office with appointments held on time and great service. Easy to get an appointment. Definitely recommend them for any of your dermatology needs. I will be going back!

I received a pathology report from my Primary Care Doctor on May (4th). It read, Invasive, well differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma. That was not the kind of news we like to hear on a Monday morning. But what followed was all good news. I was given an appointment to see Dermatology Consultants on May (5th). They gave me a full body scan, reviewed my Pathology report, and the site of the Carcinoma. Dr. Mendez and his staff offered to come in on a Saturday, May (9th) to do the surgery.

The outcome was great, I was clear of all cancer. I attribute this to the professionalism, skill and vigilance the Doctors and staff at Dermatology Consultants. This is what Health Care looks like. I will be seeing them on a regular basis. Thank you! Ray Lewis
