This practice withheld information from me as a client regarding an ovarian cyst. In calling to get resolved with them, they mounted defences and told me I was wrong. Disgusting. Negligent. They care more about your money than your care. I am concerned they are behaving like this with all clients. Run away!

Horrible place! They are scammers! They try to get you to sign a form that says they can automatically charge your credit card whenever they want without billing first. I refused to sign and they still fraudulently charged my card without my authorization. The level of care is horrible here with doctors as well, do not go there! They also charge your card twice for the same service.

So my doctor, Dr. Silverman is an incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, kind professional. I enjoy all my visits with him. However, I've never had to deal with such disgusting secretarys in my entire life. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I feel terrible for the doctors because of the rep they probably get because of the front desk. They are all such nasty, unprofessional, miserable women.
They ruin the positive experience of prenatal visits and are constantly changing rules and regulations without telling you. Be prepared for an argument with them in the front because they feed off each other's miserable energy. Everytime I go there, someone is arguing with one of the secretaries because they don't know how to address people nor have respect.
Next time I go, I will be taking names to make sure they understand that they need to be held accountable for their poor behavior and lack of awareness. The staff needs to be trained on what is allowed and unallowed because I was told my husband isn't allowed inside when in reality he was. They made him take off work for no reason. Hopefully the office changes staff this year!

These 5 stars are for Dr. Zafra and Dr. Yodfat. I delivered with dr Yodfat via c-section and everything went good and smoothly. They are very professional and answer all of your questions, I highly recommend these 2 doctors. Medical records staff is very good and helpful too. The front desk need some behavior training.

I've been going to the other location, the entire staff are very welcoming and helpful there. This was my first and last time at this location. The front desk lady was not nice at all. She ignored me and had an attitude. When I finished my visit she had already left for the day, so I couldn't schedule a follow up being she is the only one who was at the front. The atmosphere is very gloomy you feel like you're being rushed. Patient care and interaction is not for everyone pick a different field of work

DO NOT GO THERE.i was a self paying patient (no insurance) and they completely overcharged me. For a visit that should cost $150, they charged me $250. I found out once I received a bill by email (patient portal) and that email had detail breakdown of my bill ($150 for exam). Typical money hungry and scamming people. Horrible and rude people.

WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. This is by far the most incredibly horrible doctor's office I have ever been to in my life. I went here one time and I am still paying the consequences. From the doctor to the billing department, nobody cares about you. But especially the billing department. They treat you as if you are not human, not worth their time.
They do not know typical protocol in regard to communication between insurance and testing labs. I had to call a testing lab myself TWICE through customer service which took about two weeks to get through to the second time. All of this, just to be told that it is the doctor's office's responsibility to call and clarify the details with them, a practice that I was told by the testing center is completely routine and often expected by the doctor's office and lab both.
I had to get all this information about routine protocol from the lab and call the doctor's office and give them directions on how to complete their job. AND to top it off they treated me like dirt about it. They drove me to the point of actual insanity, tears, and screaming after 1 month of polite calls asking them to do what was actually their job in the first place before they finally got on the phone to contact the testing center to get things sorted.
I was also gaslighted, spoken over, and told that I hadn't been asking them to deal with this for a month. This inability to listen to the information I have and what needs to be done is exactly why they cannot do anything correctly in the first place in this office. They don't know how to do their job, they don't listen to you when you have information they need, and they treat you like they do not have the time of day for you.
I WISH that this was a thorough summary of how terribly I was treated but it is just a small simplified overview. All in all, I was sobbing, hyperventilating and completely at a loss of how to move forward with them the last time we spoke. And that was just one ordeal. The customer service is just abhorrent all around. Everybody who picks up the phone talks over you and at you and cannot communicate with decency.
They pass the phone around and do not let you know they are transferring you, or introduce themselves when a new person gets on the phone. As for my experience with the doctor herself, her patient bedside manner is not too far off from the rest of this horrifying office. I called to ask questions about a chronic illness that I was diagnosed with in this very office for the first time and I was treated as if I was getting in the way of some other task.
There were silences on the phone on the doctor's end after I described my experience with the prescribed medication so far and I just felt very small, unimportant, and awkward. Exactly the opposite of what someone needs from a doctor! I didn't bring it up to her, my own mistake, but I just felt awful and embarrassed and wanted to get off the phone.
To make matters weirder, I received a call a couple weeks later from the same doctor asking me about my medication and status with my illness as if we had never had the initial conversation! She completely did not remember that I called to talk about the very same thing, that we had this exact conversation and that I was made to feel like it was not something that she should have to deal with. Seemed like she was in a better mood and was looking to do her job that day. WHO KNOWS, but again I just did not bring it up.
During the actual visit itself, the nurse who saw me complained about the people working at the front desk and their lack of knowledge of their computer system. It seems to me that nobody in this office (be it doctor, nurse, billing employees, front desk) likes their job, wants to do their job, or is adequately trained to speak to human beings or has ever learned to be a decent human being. Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrifying experience. Never again. Beware.

I do not recommend this place to nobody. Not only will they leave you waiting but unless you are a single mom do not come here! I repeat couples do not come here they are absolutely rude especially if you're a guy. If you're a dad they only let you show up for 2 visits first and anatomy. We waiting in the waiting area for 2 hours while they took patients that clearly came after us.
They let me into the Sono gram but not for the results afterwards almost as if because I am the Dad I don't have the right to be there. They say it's because of COVID but none of the seats in the waiting area are socially distanced at all with the lady's at the front desk snapping at everyone to keep their masks on but will have conversations in between each other with masks off.
What a contradiction this place is. It seems like the cater to a certain crowd. As I am waiting in the area pacing back and fourth because I am clearly nervous some old lady behind the counter calls me over and asks why am I here. why would I? To take a pregnancy test? If I could give them negative 10 points, I would've! NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE! IF YOU WANT A HEALTHY BABY AND APROFESSIONAL DELIVERING IT, AND YOU ALSO WANT TO NOT STRESS OVER RUDE STAFF AND IDIOTIC RULES -STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I spent 3,5 hours in their office, out of which the first 50 mins I waited for a regular ultrasound. Their front desk stuff (the older woman) was super nasty, gave me attitude for asking how long this might take, and rebuked me by saying: "this is a busy office!" Every office is busy, but I've never waited for an ultrasound for 50 mis, and for blood draw for 40!
Major issues: 1. They are understaffed and so they have you wait around for hours. 2. Their ultrasound technician is inexperienced - she had to call another technician as she couldn't complete the work on her own - just left me lying on that table for 10 more mins. 2. Their "medical records" office staff are plain rude and uneducated - one of them (who barely spoke English) called me multiple times (nobody taught them to leave a message or send a text through an online portal -the most inefficient practice I've ever seen), and told me I had to redo the test as they lost my specimen (!) 3.
They do not make your test results or any medical documentation that rightfully belongs to you, available for you immediately and automatically on the online patient portal - YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM TO REQUEST ACCESS! this goes against EHR (Electronic medical records) fair access in the state of NY. All other offices I've been to -you get a text/email immediately after your test results are available When I called back asking for a copy of my ultrasound (I transferred to a much better medical office, and they needed my past history and test results), a "medical records" staff member rudely told me I have no right to obtain a copy of MY OWN ultrasound, because of (drum roll) HIPAA regulations! HIPAA is a law that controls and authorizes the access to PHI (personal medical information) by THIRD PARTIES (insurance companied, billing staff).
But patient obviously is not a THIRD PARTY, and I am the only person apart from my doctor who have an absolute and unrestricted right to access my OWN information. But this crazy rude uneducated person told me I have no right to it, and hung up on me. NEVER, EVER COME TO THIS PLACE. They have no professional ethics, neither do they have professional skills or knowledge, nor do they care about patients - all they want is to bill you for more services, and be nasty to you.
I am reporting them to my insurance company, they have to be removed from the list of participating providers. And I am reporting them to a Medicaid NY commissioner for gross violation of patient rights.

Wow where to start, if I can give it 0 or negative stars. First of all the older lady at the front always has a terrible attitude and will complicate absolutely everything. Besides the fact that I would routinely wait hours for simple appointments when I was pregnant they are terrible at communicating, that is unless it's to each other about personal matters, they seem to be able to do that very well.
I was there today for an annual, I just had a baby in December and the person who I made the appointment should've known that if they had any common sense. Again they are too busy gossiping about each other to actually get any work done. After driving 45 minutes I was told I wouldn't be able to see the doctor because I had my baby with me.
Nobody told me I wouldn't be able to bring my 6 months old baby with me. I explained this to the old lady with the terrible attitude and she told me that I couldn't bring the baby and I needed to have a baby sitter, yes right because finding childcare for a 6 month old is super easy during a pandemic. She then made me wait while she spoke to her supervisor, the one in the end with the absolutely terrible make up. Supervisor let me know I would'nt be seen because I had the baby.

They all have terrible attitudes and it's shocking that they work with pregnant women. Will be contacting higher ups about this. DR Perlman is actually pretty great it's a shame she works here and the nurses and staff talk shit about her behind her back. Be safe y'all

Used to be great! It has now become a baby factory and I am being discriminated against for not being Jewish! Told I could use them then they told me they had no time for me! Website states they take high risk patients this is false advertisement! Sad to see some great doctors there having to be lumped into a whole practice! Do not recommend one bit! All they care about is money!

Please don't go here. They are a terrible group of doctors that don't read your file or keep track of your health. Over the course of 1 month I was seen by 5 different doctors, all of whom didn't give me any consistent treatment or advice. I had to have a D&C and they didn't even bother testing the fetal material to help understand what caused my miscarriage. These people are terrible and will not take proper care of you. Please avoid. I wish someone had told me first.

I was seen for a routine visit and a sonogram was ordered for my fibroid. The sonogram was seen by the midwife who saw nothing of concern. An incomplete report of the sonogram was passed to Dr. Yodfat and he decided to red flag it. I got a call from the midwife telling me this, and not much else, she wrote me off and backed away like something was really wrong with me which was scary.
I scheduled a phone visit with Yodfat and he came on the line and basically hollered at me that he didn't like what he saw and I needed more tests. I asked what he saw and he refused to interface with me. Just kept repeating that he didn't like what he saw and that I should just trust that. It felt very much like he was saying, shut up and listen to me, I'm a man, a doctor and you are a woman.
I told him about previous sonograms of the fibroid (it's when they grow rapidly that they could be malignant), which should have been something he cared about, he refused to listen. I told him he was scaring me and he didn't care. Perhaps he was yelling because he was on speaker phone but how hard would it have been to conduct a phone consult in a more calm and connected way.
I decided then and there that he would have no further chance to talk to me, much less touch my body. I got a second opinion from a caring doctor who DID look at my previous sonograms and saw the calcifications and cystic aspects that Yodfat - I guess? - did not "like". 2nd doc assured me this was normal. He was also confused as to why the sonogram report from Boro Park did not include measurements of the fibroid.
He did his own sonogram and saw that the fibroid has gotten smaller, a good thing! All told, the sonogram at Boro Park was not well performed and then Yodfat went on to read an incomplete sonogram and went off the rails, trying to take me with him. I can only imagine the panic, suffering and possibly even unnecessary tests/surgeries that could have come from this lack of expertise, had I been the sort of woman to just simply - shut up and do as told.

I made an appointment to come here during my second trimester. I explained to the receptionist that I'm in my second trimester with twins and that I'm a high risk patient. She assured me that they don't turn anyone away. I took the entire day off of work to come here, only to be told I'm too far along and morbidly obese by the insolent doctor and he will not take me as a patient.
To make things worse they billed my insurance and charged me a copay that they would not wave. Really unprofessional to tell someone to come in, see them for 5 minutes just to tell them they cannot take you as a patient so that they can take your money.

For 29 years I was a patient of Dr. Silverman. Sad to say when I had an issue I couldn't count on him with my problem. I tried Dr Sklar not very pleasant. I tried a few of the other ones not one solved my issue. You leave them a message they don't get back to you. I can go on and on. I'll leave it by saying very disappointed in them especially Dr Silverman

A breath of fresh air compared to the last GYN I visited in Lefferts! Boro Park's Newkirk Ave. offices are clean, comfortable and well-staffed -- there was a little bit of a wait, but nothing compared to the *three hours* I waited at another practice. I saw Dr. Fuchs for an annual exam and she was lovely. It was obvious that she was busy and seeing many patients, but she took the time to answer my questions, explain procedures, and generally had a pleasing demeanor. Would definitely recommend this practice.

This practice is pretty horrible and I would never go back there or advise anybody to go there for OBGYN care. I definitely agree with other previews that this is a money making machine and expect to have at max a 5-minute consultation with whoever the doctor or Midwife running around that day trying to accommodate all the overbooked patients in order to overbill.
I guess as long as everyone is making money then the actual care is thrown by the wayside. The staff seems to be filtering through the three offices, the one on Newkirk the one in Williamsburg and the one in Boro Park as well as rotating through shifts at Maimonides hospital. Their claim to fame is that you will know one of the doctors while you give birth since you will have met everyone in the practice by the time nine months are over, but since most likely they've met with you for 5 minutes, giving with birth with a resident is practically the same thing since nobody knows who you are anyway.
Nobody seems to be reading your charts, they don't care about you anyway, you could never show up again and they won't even remember you. and just food for thought, they seem to be pretty extreme on no Caesarean sections at any cost other than if your child is probably not going to live through vaginal birth. My experience was that risk factors such as being over 40, having stalled labor for 48 hours, having a very large child in the 99th percentile, having risks for the shoulders getting stuck or severe pelvic damage. none of this seemed to matter and you wonder if they're getting a bonus for the least amount of C-sections by insurance companies or by Maimonodes Hospital who seems to care very much about their statistics.

The staff seems to be filtering through the three offices, the one on Newkirk the one in Williamsburg and the one in Boro Park as well as rotating through shifts at Maimonides hospital. Their claim to fame is that you will know one of the doctors while you give birth since you will have met everyone in the practice by the time nine months are over, but since most likely they've met with you for 5 minutes, giving with birth with a resident is practically the same thing since nobody knows who you are anyway.
Nobody seems to be reading your charts, they don't care about you anyway, you could never show up again and they won't even remember you. and just food for thought, they seem to be pretty extreme on no Caesarean sections at any cost other than if your child is probably not going to live through vaginal birth. My experience was that risk factors such as being over 40, having stalled labor for 48 hours, having a very large child in the 99th percentile, having risks for the shoulders getting stuck or severe pelvic damage. none of this seemed to matter and you wonder if they're getting a bonus for the least amount of C-sections by insurance companies or by Maimonodes Hospital who seems to care very much about their statistics.

I no longer go there because the line is super long even with appointments. They close early on Fridays (Jewish tradition) and not open on weekends. Also they said nothing is wrong with me after I've been TTC for 2 years (at 35). Then I found out I have a fibroid, endometriosis, and PCOS from another doctor. The only good thing is they have an online portal where you can download all your records.

Dr. Roth has great bedside manner, she is super friendly and knowledgeable. She also tries to get to know you to help you feel more comfortable while staying professional. Once the results are available, her medical assistants give you a follow up call right away. Lastly, the response time for the messages in the patient portal is extremely fast. I am very impressed by the staff at this clinic, thank you!

Don't come to this place. Reasons below: 1. Lack of communication. Test results are not given to you. They have a portal but it's useless. Doctors take forever to call you back. 2. The doctors don't care about you. It's like a factory. One patient first. On to the next and the next. There is no compassion at all. 3. One of the sonogram ladies did not know what she was doing. Had to ask someone else to come in and help in the middle of mine. They never finished and the doctor didn't even acknowledge it. Awful!

I am simply appalled by the way they manage the office. The manager's name is Anna Marie; she and the women who work there are extremely unprofessional and so extremely rude I was shocked. I've never had such a bad experience with a doctor's office. From what I can gauge from other patients' stories, the doctors/midwives aren't very kind either.
I can't imagine going to this office for the rest of my care and seeing these people who are so careless with everything from scheduling, answering and directing phone calls, ultrasounds, and patient care in general. If you are pregnant and have a medical emergency they literally will put you on hold and hang up on you. Can you believe?! They have such attitudes when you call them that you wonder what is going on at the office.
When I originally called to schedule an appointment, the lady who answered was so rude that it made me feel sick. She told me that the office is always going to be very busy so if I have a problem with them not answering the phones there, then I can go somewhere else, she then hung up the phone. I had to call back and sternly insist to speak to the manager.
They hung up. I called back. Finally they screamed into the phone that they were looking for the manager. Nasty manager, nasty office, not what a new mother should have to put up with. I'm not sure why they run the office with such hateful attitudes. Please, women wanting to have a beautiful pregnancy experience with/for their families, go somewhere else, spare the chaos of this hellhole.

This office has new policies that have you sign a document that states that you will have to pay out of pocket for what your insurance does not cover. You will never really know until later what is covered and what is not - that is unfair and appalling. My ma walked right out of that office never to return and rightfully so. Who wants to go to an office with poor ethical and moral policy?
If administration does a poor job with paperwork then that falls on the patients? No thank you, there are thousands of other offices in New York City and I am not interested in this one.

For my first baby I was interested in having a midwife as my healthcare provider during pregnancy and delivery. As a resident of Manhattan it was hard to find midwives but I figured it would be worth traveling to get the care I wanted. From the first visit to the delivery of my baby I couldn't be happier with my choice. The staff at the office are pleasant and helpful.
The midwives are knowledgeable, personable and took excellent care of me during pregnancy. I met all the midwives in the practice and would have felt more than comfortable with having them during labor. During labor I felt I was well prepared and in excellent hands and never pressured into anything I didn't feel comfortable with. The midwives here are amazing and special shout out to to Caroline who was at the hospital when I delivered and I will never forgot how incredible she was. If you're looking for personalized and amazing care for you and your baby this is the place for you.

I saw Dr. Chanda in September and let me just say she is exceptional! I saw her at her New kirk location and her staff starting from the girls at the front desk to her medical assistant were very nice and they always had a smile on their faces. As soon as Dr. Chanda entered the room she was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Usually doctors in busy practices rush your visit and do not care for the needs of their patient.
But Dr. Chanda was not like that at all. She took her time with me and understood my needs. I also noticed the office manager was very proactive with her staff and was very helpful in keeping patients who were anxious in the waiting room feel at ease. I must say the office in general is a great office. I am very pleased Dr. Chanda is now my primary care physician and I am looking forward to continue my care with her. :-D
