We are a multispecialty group serving the greater Iredell County region of North Carolina and the surrounding communities. Our internal medicine physicians provide primary care for adults. Our specialty care services include interventional pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation and rheumatology.Ashley is a board certified physician assistant who is a recent graduate of the Gardner-Webb University PA program with an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. She is a Statesville native and is the daughter of our very own Dr. Wodecki and Dr. Szostak-Wodecki and will be specializing in Rheumatology alongside her father.

Services
Our internal medicine physicians are the first stop for any non-emergency symptoms of general illness that might develop, such as a headache, back or abdomen pain, symptoms of the flu or for flare-ups of ongoing conditions like irritable bowel syndrome or asthma. We can either diagnose and treat the problem or refer you to a specialist with sophisticated diagnostic tools to further evaluate and treat the problem.
Our physicians specialize in minimally invasive procedures utilizing fluoroscopic imaging and ultrasound guidance. This includes x-ray services, epidural injections, joint and trigger injections, selective nerve root blocks, Hako Med pain blocking services, peripheral nerve blocks, peripheral nerve stimulation, NCS and EMG, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, Vertiflex Superion implant, and kyphoplasty. By offering pain management services in the office, there is a significant cost saving to the patient.
Our physiatrists treat patients of all ages for conditions ranging from the developmental disabilities of childhood to the acute injuries of adulthood and finally to the chronic diseases associated with aging. A major component of physiatry is that the care focuses on creating a comprehensive program for patients after injury or disease - without surgery.
At Carolina Specialty Care, PA, our board certified physicians will help you receive an accurate diagnosis as well as a personalized plan for your treatment. We specialize in the treatment of general rheumatology, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, other connective tissue disorders, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

There are Drs. and PAs to go to where you're not special, just another number. Well, THIS ENTIRE STAFF CANNOT BE COUNTED AS ONE OF THOSE PLACES! You are genuinely cared for from the moment you enter the building! The front office staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgable; you are checked in quickly. There is minimal wait time before you are called back for your appointment, where the medical assistants are equally as nice and efficient as the front office staff.
And I can never thank Dr. Wodecki and my personal PA, Chris Comfort, enough for caring for me for the past 14 or so years! I truly believe I would not be able to walk or care for myself ( with PsA) by now had I been treated elsewhere. The level of care I receive is second to none. Chris knows exactly what to do whenever I have a new symptom or flareup to keep my condition under control, and always works with me as a team to find the best solution in a cost efficient manner. This group is absolutely the best at what they do, and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

I was in a wheelchair for 5 or 6 months. I was hurting daily with pain from R.A. Dr. Woodecki found my problem. He has this under control now. I'll be forever grateful for his knowledge. And send anyone to this office for help. Dr. Watson is a wonderful Dr. also Carolina Specialty is the place to go for all your specialty needs

Dr. Watson and Dr. Burchell are very straight forward and present what is going on in a way you can understand. Dr. Burchell even talked me out of doing a procedure that I came in scheduled for because he didn't feel it would actually benefit me. I feel most doctors would have just done it to make the money, but Dr. Burchell actually recommended another procedure that could only be done by another practice. I thoroughly respect a practitioner that is that honest.

I really appreciated the fact that everyone was open and trust worthy. That means a lot to me. The road I am on has just become very unknown to me since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. December 17th was my first surgery. And Dr. Watson made me feel that after my 2nd surgery that he is going to take care of me. It has made me feel better about the whole situation. He has made me feel confident that he wants and will keep me comfortable. So that will be one less thing I have to worry about.
