To understand cataracts and how to correct them, it helps to understand the eye first. The eye focuses images through a lens inside the eye - like a camera uses a lens to focus. As we age, the lens becomes cloudy and inflexible, causing our vision to blur and increasing our dependence on corrective lenses to refocus from near to far.
Cataract surgery is an outpatient procedure that will only take about 10 minutes to perform. On the day of surgery, you will arrive at the surgery center about an hour prior to your surgery time. Nurses greet you and prepare you for your surgical experience. You are able to stay in your own clothes and you will receive sedation to keep you comfortable.
In recent years, cataract surgery has undergone revolutionary advances - shifting from a manual technique to an ultramodern femtosecond laser procedure that can treat even the hardest of cataracts in minutes. Not since the "no-stitch" cataract procedure has the ophthalmology profession experienced such a seismic shift in eye surgery.

The nurse I had incorrectly wrote down the prescription I needed and I called to get it fixed but they never answered and never returned my calls. I had to go to a different office for my prescription. They also said they would call me to schedule an appointment because 6 months out was "too far" (even though they had done it before) and they never called and never answered when I called. Very unprofessional, the clear lake office is much faster and more reliable.

Worst customer service ever! I brought my wife here for her appointment scheduled at 8am. We arrived at 7:40am to check in they got us in right away and took our payment but then had us waiting 4+ hrs before they even called her back. We got up and asked multiple times what was going on because we kept seeing people get there after us and going in for surgery and leaving. The ladies at the front counter couldn't care less and were bothered when we would ask. Highly do not recommend giving them your business.

I have been a patient of Dr Wade's for the past 25 plus years. I was recently diagnosed with Cataracts and thrilled to find out I was a candidate for the multi focal panoptix lens. I had lasik in the past so I didn't think this would be an option. The surgery was painless and I am glasses free! I can see everything now. Thank you Dr Wade for your gifted hands and expertise!

I was ask for a review after I got home from first appointment. This is the revised review. My left eye I still see floaters its been a month, they said it would disappear in 2 weeks it has not. My right eye the floaters have disappeared with in 2 weeks. Also what sit off alarms was during my 2nd visit you will see this girl that checks your eyes first, an Asian guy comes into the room with a chart points at some numbers on the chart and tells her to be careful.
At this time my right eye was being checked, she said we dont need to dilate your left eye, but with in 15 minutes she try to dilate my left eye, I told her, her hand moved, she said it didn't go in. I take my vison seriously, the girl doesn't keep her mind on her job

If i could i would give less than 1.very poor customer service.when you call they never answer, the wait time on phone to get someone is more than 15-20 min. I left my family member for procedure and I was calling them to get estimated time frame to pick them up, there was no one answering the call. With such poor customer service, i don't understand why are Optician referring to this place.if you have a Optician that refers you this facility please change your Dr.save your money and time.there are better facilities with great customer service.

Please do not send anyone you love to this place. I had an eye surgery here that was never made right. I was convinced to pay thousands dollars extra for some extra special lenses that were a complete fail. I went once again today the office to try to make it right and after I waited 45 minutes in a overcrowded, miserably cold waiting room, I was informed before I was even examined that I would be paying a large sum of money that day that I was not prepared to pay.
I told the attendant I wanted my records and would not be returning and then was told that I would have to pay a fee for that. This place is all about making as much money as possible, overbooking appointments, more like a eye surgery factory.

This place is horrible. It would take me 5 weeks to get an appointment and then they would wait until the day of my appointment to tell me they had never received my referral so there was no way I could get a referral from my doctor that quickly. they did that to me 3 times! When I finally got an appointment they made me wait for 3 fricking hours. Absolutely ridiculous. I also had a copay of $60 and they charged me $96 Also their office is extremely dirty and nasty. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me!
