Dr. Brown completed an eye exam on me and completely mis diagnosed my left eye as being much weaker than it is. This error caused me to be disoriented and physically insecure while walking. The overall attitude of the receptionist was demeaning and rude, partially due to their rules concerning wearing of masks. Even so, I'd say the overall attitude of this establishment was uppity, snippy and generally rude. All of that, coupled with their inability to correctly diagnose my eyes, are reasons for me to give them a rating of one.

Does not respond to voice messages or emails. Left two voicemail messages and emailed and no response. So disappointed because it had good reviews.

I've been a patient of Dr. Browns for more than 10 years. He's professional and one of the smartest doctors I've met. He's expertise with BOTOX and fillers are amazing, like an artist. I've tried others (only a few times) and always return to Dr. Brown. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the office is immaculately cleaned. He has a great selection of frames and the orders are completely in a timely manner.

My last appointment was 9/10/21. No one in the office was wearing a face mask, including the doctor. Even when he examines your eyes up close. I have a referral for another doctor. Blue Shield didn't do anything about it.

Please avoid this Doctor, worst ophthalmologists in the state. Their prices are ridiculous and they don't even know how to treat their patients. I came to see Dr. Brown to get 2 styes removed and everything went "well" until there were some complications. This doctor will treat you poorly and make you feel like never showing up at his office or ask him any questions and it's not like he has answers anyways. AVOID THIS DOCTOR! GO TO DR. SAND (SAND INSTITUTE) she charges less than these people and she really knows her stuff and is very helpful. Dr.

Sand genuinely cares about you as a person and as a patient you can most definitely tell that this field is her passion. She is located in paramount and in LA. Do not risk your eyesight with unprofessionals who at the end of the day will only send you home feeling uneasy and stressed out about not knowing who to go to for help.

Very nice office, clean, friendly staff. My biggest issue was that I was referred for inflammation in my eyelids and after 2 appts and a very expensive MRI, I wasn't given any answers. When Dr Brown didn't know what I had, he prescribed some antibiotic eyedrops, said very bluntly that my MRI didn't show any tumors (yikes!) and he didn't know what I had so referred me to UCLA.

He didn't give any insight, spent very little time with me and very briefly explained my MRI results. I felt he didn't closely examine my eyes.was too brief. I felt these 2 appts, which I had a $60 copay and a $700 MRI out of pocket.was not helpful.to just pass me along to the next doctor. Waste of money and time!

I've been coming to this office for over a year now, I absolutely recommend it. I see Dr. Duran who has helped me with my diagnosis keratoconus, it has been a process but she encouraged me not to give up. The entire staff is very professional and friendly.

I've known Dr. Brown for over 26 years and he's always provided excellent service and reliability. It's great seeing his practice expand from a humble partnership into it's own high quality facility. He has taken time off hours to answer my questions related to vision, and he can be reached promptly from his office answering service. I also really like his glasses/frames area just off the waiting room.

This place only cares about your money and not your well-being. Very rude and useless services that aren't worth the amount of money they charge. This place is strictly an overpriced business and do not care about you or your health. I beg you to please go somewhere else. You'll regret it otherwise.

I attempted to make an appointment at this office, however, when I spoke to the front office staff I was told that she wasn't able to run my insurance to see if they accepted it. Not able or not willing? Guess they don't need my business

Dr. Duran did a very thorough check up and was very patient and knowledgeable. The receptionist is super nice and helpful. I first was greeted by Laura who did a preliminary check before the doctor. Laura treated me with the utmost professionalism and put me at ease. She set the tone for the rest of my exam.

Believe me this individual is a racist. Guy went from a super friendly demeanor to an annoyed attitude when I had to translate for my father. I guess since he heard me translating it was ok for him to start speaking in a condescending manner

First visited Dr. Brown's office this summer. My experience was great. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. The back office staff is also very patient and kind. I was so happy I booked my entire family and we all were very happy with the service, time and the prices! Dr. Brown was wonderful with my teen today. He joked around and made her feel at ease.

She was so happy that she wanted to know when her next appointment was. The office aesthetics are nice and clean and the staff handling the glasses are amazing. My son loved Chris and we look forward to our next visit. Also want to mention that you get text reminders for appointments which I absolutely love. My schedule is so hectic that I welcome the reminders! Great office!

Dr. Brown did my LASIK 9 years ago. I couldn't see the clock on my bedside table in the morning w/o glasses before that surgery. Dr. B gave me 20/20 vision that I am still enjoying today. I can't believe I spent so many years of my life messing with contacts and glasses. THANK YOU DR. BROWN!

I'm not the type of person that leaves a review. I just read them. and I read every single one of them before I went there. my experience so far: I called them around 11:30AM today and I was referred by my insurance because they are "in network" they were very helpful and provided all the information necessary over the phone for me to make a decision to schedule an appt with them or not. they accommodated me immediately for an appt at 2:30pm the same day( I called 2 doctors before them and they pushed me for 2 weeks for a free consultation).

I was seen by a nurse shortly after I checked in and they did all the agreed upon procedures with all professionalism. They are very quick and efficient. so I understand how some people might think that they move through patients quickly. they're just efficient- there is nothing better than that especially at a doctors office where sometimes you experience long wait times.

I want to do a LASIK eye surgery and I asked upfront to give a rough estimate on the cost of the procedure on the phone and they gave me a very good rough estimate.(I kind of expected them to raise the price a little bit after I do the actual consultation and pitch me on different type of procedures) however they didn't do that and I got the quote for the procedure for the same amount they quoted me over the phone. I had a very good experience so far and I'm very happy over all and my surgery is scheduled for 2 weeks from now, will update as I get more info.

My Primary dr. mentioned this place is run as a business and not by a doctor who cares for their patients. I feel like I agreed with his statement, because previously, I ended up getting an expensive allergy test, and an allergy eye drop prescription that did not seem to help. After spending lots of money, I've decided not to come back. And to see a doctor who explains more to help me, to help the patient understand the treatment and process. It seems its easy for a doctor to just blame problems on allergies now a days.

If I would have known that this man had poor bedside manner, I would have never scheduled an appointment. His staff was friendly and professional. But he is so rude! Comes into the room with an annoyed look on his face as if I was the one who ruined his day. Never smiled. Hey man, you already got my co-pay, the least you could do is smile and be friendly!

He kept rolling his eyes and sighing throughout the whole 6 minutes he was in the room with me. I was scheduled a 3 week follow up, I highly doubt I'll be showing up. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Wish they would give zero's here. Where do I start? The problem here is Dr. Brown who seemingly has the medical assistants do all the work. Took my daughter for an eye exam who had previously been diagnosed at UCLA and knew exactly what kind of lens she would need. Wanting to provide all the pertinent information to the Dr was beyond a dream since he was merely there less than 3 minutes.

He walks in the room once all the work is done by his staff just to merit the fact that he was there and charge the insurance. In which my PPO detailed exams that were never performed and over billed. Very unprofessional with total disregard for patient care. Do have to say his socks were a 10 snappy dresser, burned unethical clinician that abuses his patients trust by charging services that were never rendered and neglecting their well being. Had to go back to UCLA since he gave the wrong prescription for glasses. No interest in patient care. Seriously needs to retire. Zero recommendations here and burnt out attitude from this so call Dr.

The staff at this office is personable and professional in both manner and appearance. And the office and building is surprisingly upscale for the area. All in all an apparently positive environment. Then the PROBLEM would be Dr BROWN. There are too many words to describe his manner poor attitude and random negativity add to that an incorrect diagnosis, ,,W ell.

Let me say this take a pass on this guy After all its yours eyes that are on the line I really dont think that he wants or needs any new patients Stay Away Dont think he was having a BAD day just seems to be an arrogant guy

I have to update my review. Waited a long time to go back to get my eyes checked after my negative experience with Dr. Brown. My examination revealed I didn't need cataract surgery in both eyes as was Dr. Brown's diagnosis( related by his staff) Also it was advised my eyes are great. The doctor said it was good I got a second opinion because I probably wouldn't need cataract surgery for 10 years. 20/20 distance 20/25 reading.

Did not he a chance to meet Dr. Brian Brown but the staff is outstanding. The 5 minutes I was there, I was greeted with warmth and concern. Surely going back to the doctor for the choice of good staff he has.
