I'm shocked and saddened by my treatment at Beverly Hospital. I would not go back or send loved ones there. After many years of trusting the competence and general level of care, my son was born there! The way I was treated last night, was so different then the Beverly Hospital I knew and loved seventeen years ago.

Cannot speak highly enough of the doctors, nurses, midwives and assistants at Beverly hospital in the labor & delivery ward and the maternity ward. I recently gave birth there and everyone was so kind and helpful. I don't have a bad word to say. Breath of fresh air to see everyone enjoying their job. Thank you all so much!

I had a week stay here with about 3-4 days in the ICU. From what I can remember, the care I had in the ICU was great. There were some very kind and caring nurses, one of which even helped me bathe which was the only time that happened while I was there. When I went back to a regular room, the experience was a bit more mixed. The nurses changed somewhat frequently it seemed so it was mixed bag.
Some of the nurses were great and a few less than ideal. One of the biggest problems is the IV kept coming loose and the machine was make very loud noises which woke me up and was very annoying. One time it close to two hours for someone to stop it! I finally figured out how to shut it off on my own because it was driving me crazy. Another problem is that the doctor ran a test wrong and kept asking me if I had HIV or some other immune disease - freaked me out because I was sick and couldn't even think straight. The doctor should not have done that! On a lighter note, the food was incredibly good and there was a decent selection which was unexpected because it's hospital food.

This is my second baby at Beverly hospital. Every single person that has been part of our journey has been a 10 out of 10. The special care unit is a blessing from god all around. Truly amazing people. I was spending some time at the cafe. I met Rob one of the kitchen workers. I witnessed this kid work for his entire shift none stop while helping a lot of other people get their job done as well.
This was not a one off either it was every day all day. You could tell Rob should be running the entire kitchen. The guy was truly a men amongst boys. Rob keep it up buddy you deserve a raise.

By far the worst emergency room I have been To. After waiting 3 hrs. To get into a room I was never asked about medical history or current medication. I was suspended to have the flu and asked for Advil while waiting for X-rays. Advil or ginger ale was not brought to me. I called the hospital after not being able to get the nurses attention to ask for assistance.
Nurse was called over the loud speaker and never came. 30 minutes later I disconnected myself from Hook ups and proceeded to tell the front desk I will go to my car to get Advil. She then told me that the front desk has been calling my name for hrs. I told her that I was already called and was waiting for the doctor in my room. She then told me "okay well your not going to die. Go home and take your Advil". I then left while still suffering of chest pain

I was dropped off at Beverly hospital ER under doctor's advice due to uncontrollable pain and weekness on left neck, shoulder, back, arm and leg.waited 4 hours. During this time I asked for a pillow three times. After the 3rd time a nurse whipped a pillow into my left arm. Upon waiting 4 hours a man pulled me aside and told me that everyone ahead of me were already seen and that they were seeing new patients just walking in. So, I asked the nurse why.
She told me there were a lot more people sicker than I and to go back and sit down. She said that the entire 4 hours I was there all I did was cause problems. I told the nurse my leg and neck were worse and that I needed a wheelchair. She refused to give me one and said you walked in without a wheelchair you can leave without one. I told her I did not feel safe walking and asked 2 more times for a wheelchair and was denied all times.
I was so upset that I called my husband to come pick me up. I ended up at Brigham and Women's hospital ER department. The first thing they asked me was if I needed a wheelchair which I acknowledged yes to. Brigham and Women's hospital ended up admitting me in house for 6 days. By this point I was bed bound during the entire stay due to pain and not being able to walk without help.
After 6 days in Brigham and Women's hospital I was discharged with services such as home health care assistance, home PT, and had several appointments lined up to see specialist. I've been home now for 4 days and can not walk safely so I must use a crutch. I am appalled at the way the Beverly hospital ER department nurses treated me. If I had been given a wheelchair and checked in appropriately to be evaluated I may not have lost my ability to walk and would probably not have had to endure a six day hospital stay at Brigham and Women's. As of right now I have a long road ahead of me before I recover.

Called to speak to my son. They refused to take my name and number or go and ask him if he wanted to speak to me. I've never had any ER refuse to take a parents name and number. He has full authority to to be able to accept or deny who he wants to speak to and they didn't even allow him to make that decision. When I am on his medical records as an emergency contact. No medical rights are being violated by asking to leave my contact info so my son can contact me.

Listen up, if you are Asian, Hispanic, Black or other than Caucasian; do not go there. Healthcare disparities there is real! I repeat if you don't want to end up dead, do not go to their emergency room. I used to work there as a nurse and have experienced it myself as a patient. I know a bunch of people who have experienced it. I repeat, do not go there!
If it not a real emergency go to a hospital in Boston. As much as I wouldn't recommend Salem hospital, but I would go to them instead of Beverly. The care you received at Beverly hospital depends on ethnicity or the color of your skin. They so used to treat people that way and it's a natural response that they themselves are not even aware. A bunch of evil individuals among them.

I set up with the doctor ahead of time my more delicate needs due to medications. Now no sleep medication and the nurse said it wasn't set up. In the interim the wait for pain medication did not keep me Ahead of the pain and now I can not move or barely take a deep breath and that doesn't seem to matter. Beverly hospital charges 1,200 for a one night stay which expectations dictated would be a good night. This wasn't it. I fully plan to request a refund of that portion of my payment

Came in with severe head & neck pain that has increased in severity over the course of two weeks. Waited 3 hours to be seen and was taken in to wait in an unsanitary room littered with other patients personal information, a used full portable toilet, and other debris. The previous occupant had been being tested and suspected of COViD19 as was outlined in the personal information left in the room.
After asking staff to clean the room, orderly proceeded to drag the toilet across the room and spill urine on my shoes. When I was finally seen an extremely aggressive physicians assistant named jenn started to yell over me as I explained my symptoms and told me she didn't think I was in severe pain and that I just have a headache. I avoid medical establishments like the plague and wouldn't waste anyone's time over a migraine I assure you.
After this I said thanks but no thanks and left this absolutely despicable facade of a hospital. I still have not found resolution. I am also a type 1 diabetic and at no point was my blood sugar assessed.

I had surgery for Spinal Stenocis (spelling) 14 months ago at Beverly Hospital. I was in the hospital for almost a week. In that entire time I was never offered a chance to get clean until the 6th day when I spilled something on my bed and they gave me a basin with soap and water to clean myself. Some of the nurses were ok (one in particular),b ut the rest were just awful.
I had a male nurse on the nightshift, that against doctors orders suggested that I cut back from my pain meds even though I was in sever pain after spine surgery. He would routinely skip or arrive late and make me wait an extra couple of hours to get my meds. I even had to complain to the hospital for him to follow doctors orders. Bottom line-I wouldn't send my dog there.

I until recently was a patient at the pain center, I had a family emergency, my 4year old fell and needed stitches below his eye, I had to get him to ER I TRIED to reschedule my follow up appointment but was left on hold for 20min until I hung up, I called to reschedule the next day and was told I was no longer welcome as a patient there, I'm in so much pain from a car accident I begged and pleaded even offered to pay cash for the missed appt.
The office manager Barbara told me to call in a week and she will talk to the medical director to get me reinstated, a week went by I called and was told Barbara is in meetinh, out of office, on vacation etc etc. Finally a month later I was able to get ahold of her and she told me she would talk to doctor about me coming back, then she called the next day and told me I'm not welcome back, I cannot believe I have been a patient there almost 2years I missed a follow up appointment that would probably be a 15min appointment and I offered to pay for it out of pocket, I just don't get it, all I can say is I'm disgusted with this, there was appointments that with was ontime for which I sat in waiting room for almost 2hours but yet I NEVER complained, some of the staff at the desk have a attitude yet I never back talked or was rude back, now I'm kicked to the curb trying to find a new pain clinic, I was in a car accident and I'm still in much pain. I have never been treated so badly in my life they should be ashamed.

I have gone to the pain center here many times and my doctor and his nurse left the clinic without leaving a forwarding address, the nurse practitioner I saw today was very uncaring and rude, refused to address my issues or discuss my pain for example, she never asked where the pain was!never asked how long I have had pain, didnt ask if I had operations etc. Then she decided to order a xray for a part of my body that doesnt hurt and Im pregnant! I will never go here again!
