Asthma affects almost five million children in the United States today. It is a chronic disease of the tubes that carry air to the lungs. Asthma can be triggered by environmental factors including dust and dust mites, cockroaches, animals, molds and secondhand cigarette smoke. It is important for parents to recognize the symptoms and triggers of asthma attacks.

I should have wrote this a few months ago, but we had our first appointment with Dr DeWitt and he is amazing! We went for the first time for my daughters 18 month checkup. We had previously tried 5 different pediatricians and didn't love the experience. Dr DeWitt listens to you and does not try to pressure you into making decisions about your child's health.
It is very refreshing to find a doctor that cares and truly believes that health care decisions are a personal choice and supports your decisions. We unfortunately are moving out of state so won't be back much, but I cannot recommend him enough! Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming as well!

10/10 DONT RECCOMEND. They are rude the drs are rude the staff is rude they do not care about the children they are seeing. Went to one appointment and switches my children away from them. They had my daughter drinking formula that made her extremely sick because they didnt have an appointment then had me come in and tell them the exact thing i could have said over the phone just to change her formula. DO NOT GO HERE To clarify "patient" was already switched to a different provider before "dismissal" and missed appointments because you guys are extremely rude. Should have put kore thought into your 3 star rating and bad reviews before bringing my child here

They aren't forcing masks on anyone, especially kid's. They leave that up to all individuals. They are very thorough about each appointment and I think we have seen each doctor, they are all amazing. The nurses are amazing, seriously this is one of the best pediatrics we have been to and we have been to many. I highly recommend. Only thing that sucks is same day appointments are nearly impossible to come by, but that's because they arenso booked.
They have a cancelation list and are so good at getting back to you when an appointment opens up. Hope this help's and you pick them for yoir children's care. You won't regret it.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Dewitt! He is a great doctor and my kids love him. However now that he is getting more popular. I can't get my kids in for appt that have been going there for YEARS. I am always pushed to see a new provider that I have been less then thrilled with. Some of the staff is great and some of them are awful. I was so disappointed with my last visit.
I requested a call from the manager and have yet to receive one a week and a half layer. I am so sad that it looks like I'm going to have to find a new doctor for my kids. Update: Dr. Dewitt called and all is well now.

Find another place. Have been taking kids for years. Doctor are ok but front desk is just rude and incompetent. The last time we were there we were trying to have a conversation with the doctor front desk lady, Kate or what ever her name is kept interjecting her opinion. Just rude. If you do go there just make sure you talk to the doctor in a room. Or else she will feel free to insert her foot in mouth while you are discussing your healthcare.

Extremely rude on the phone! I just moved to the area, they will not see new patients on Saturday's even if they are sick (the only day I'm able to bring him in due to my husbands work schedule) Also, I read multiple reviews stating they don't wear or require face masks right now during a global pandemic. Crazy! But, yea, super rude from the get go.
I will never bring my children here. What a joke Update: In response to the owner's comment - Glad to hear you are taking proper safety precautions despite multiple people saying you don't. Some advice - hire some new office staff. The girl I talked to was beyond rude and 30 seconds into the call, I already knew this wasn't a place I'd bring my children to. Her tone was snippy and she seemed annoyed, not exactly someone you want as a potential patients first impression.

My husband and I started taking our newborn to JJ Pediatrics about two months ago. We chose this practice based on the location. It is located within a medical plaza nearby in which we already have a few different specialists we work with within the plaza. Parking is plentiful, the location is convenient, and there is a CVS pharmacy nearby in case you ever need to pick up a script after.
Our pediatrician, Brian Dewitt is amazing. He is young, relaxed, patient, and listens to all of our many questions. He always makes us feel calm when we leave. We are first-time parents so we have a lot of questions and anxieties, as you would imagine. We love the staff and the receptionists up front. They have been very helpful in finding referrals for us for specialists, and never making us wait more than a minute within our appointment time.
They have some fun samples out front for newborns, infants, and toddlers. We always schedule our next appointment on the way out, and the staff is very helpful with scheduling as well. The place itself is on the smaller side and so convenient to just get in and out of the appointment, especially with a newborn since we don't have a large window to fuss around. Overall, I would highly recommend this pediatrician, Dr. D. it is great and everybody else is there it is amazing!

I started taking my son to see Dr. DeWitt when he was a newborn & every experience has been amazing. He's very nice and informative! Even though I don't see Dr. Hrkal, he called me back right away on a weekend that I left a message. The front office gals are amazing as well as the medical assistants that help! Everyone is great. My son is in the best hands.

If there was an option to give them less than 1 star, I'd give them -20 stars. I called to get my sons set up with an appointment and get referrals pushed through from his therapist. Come to find out, they no longer accept our insurance even though our insurance company assigned them as our new pediatricians. It is their responsibility to update their accepted insurance companies and report that.
When I was speaking to the supervisor trying to figure things out, she proceeded to hang up on me. I am astonished at how rude she was and will NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. Absolutely ridiculous at how they treat people.

My experience here was great! Dr. Dewitt was amazing! I we felt very welcomed and his concerns for my sick little monsters was very genuine, he didn't rush out appointment and they were both very patient while my little guys threw a fit. I also thought It was very professional of him to listEn and observe my kids cough before he came into the room! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I do believe we have found our pediatrician!

I have a 2 year old and 6 month old. We recently transferred both kiddos over to JJ Pediatrics and have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Dewitt. He not only answers my million questions but also interacts with my children so well! My 6 month old has unfortunately been under the weather and I've had to call their after hours line twice.
Both times I was able to speak to Dr. Dewitt right away and he was able to coach me through what I needed to do! I feel very lucky to have a local pediatrician that I trust! If I had to critique one thing it would be the lack of kid appeal. If you take out the few toys in the office and the painted pictures on the table doors in the rooms then you wouldn't really know it was a pediatric office. That's just me being picky though. I'd like to make note that I haven't seen the other doctor so I am not able to leave a review for him.

My children have seen Dr. Hrkal for 12 years and I absolutely love him! He has always been informative and caring! My new baby sees Dr. Dewitt and I can't express enough how amazing he is! Takes the time to answer my million questions, spends as much time as needed with us, and actually holds my daughter, he always interacts with her. He is an amazing Doctor, one of the best. Katie in the front knows my children by name and is so kind! The nurses are awesome too! I will continue using JJ pediatrics until my babies outgrow a pediatrician.

My husband & I started taking our newborn daughter here immediately after we returned home from the hospital. Needless to say, we absolutely love JJ's. Every time we have gone into JJ Pediatrics, even before our daughter was born (and we checked out a few different pediatricians), we have been greeted with love, respect, and a smile. Dr Brain DeWitt is great & has always answered any of our questions thoroughly. I highly recommend JJ Pediatrics!

Took our newborn here today after having a horrible experience elsewhere. We were greeted with a smile right away and were pleasantly surprised with the VERY friendly front office staff. Dr. DeWitt was superb. He answered our questions before we even asked. seriously! It was wonderful. He went over our newborn screening very thoroughly- we didn't feel rushed one bit. What a great experience we had! We found a pediatrician office to call home!

Dr. Brian is amazing! He doesn't rush us through our appointments and takes the time to answer all our questions about our newborn. The front staff is amazing as well! The women are super friendly and welcome us and our baby by name! We foresee us coming here with all our future children! This is a great place!

Love JJ Pediatrics! They are respectful, patient and it's obvious that they truly care about your child(ren). Dr Hrkal is so kind and efficient. He is good with kids and has helped ease my concerns with my twins. He also doesn't push meds. I like that. I don't like giving meds unless absolutely necessary. Many pediatricians try to medicate every kid for every sniffle just to pacify the parents. He is honest and won't push anything, he only will ice you his recommendation. He is the best pediatrician we have seen in 13 years. Highly recommended

I'm furious! We were told there was no charge for a follow up post circumcision complication with Dr. Hrkal. I thought it was nice of them since for the 1st part of the complication, we took him in to JJ because it got infected. No biggy there, it can happen.you know what I mean? We paid our $30 copay right then for this visit no problem. The next complication we got was blood all over.
The plastibell came out only partially (suppose to come out all at once but for some reason there was an extra suture around his penis?!). That suture managed to twist, twist and twist around his penis where we had to take our son into the ER in the middle of the night. They had to remove the plastibell immediately! So after that ER visit, we took our son in for that 2 min follow up.
I approached the counter to pay but we were told by 2 receptionists that it was no charge today. I said: "Ah great thank you!.I was wondering why you weren't calling me over to pay the $30 copay we usually pay on the spot before you submit a claim to our insurance." They replied: "Oh no, no charge today" I truly thought it was the least they could do considering all the complications and extra money spent at the ER and all.
When we got the bill in the mail I spoke to a receptionist and then to the manager whom kept on talking over me. Apparently, they ran this by Dr. Hrkal. I couldn't believe they were asking for a payment still! Look- it's not because we don't have the $30, it's just the principal in it + following all the complications we got that made us mad.
We were told the receptionists had no authority over deciding to charge or not. If the receptionist made a mistake, it should be taken out of their paycheck, NOT charged to the customer. Plain and simple.
