This practice was recommended to me by a few people and I made an appointment. Over the phone I mentioned my desire to do a selective and delayed vaccination schedule and they said that was OK. When I went in for the visit-the doctor seemed nice but was only concerned about vaccines-did not care at all about my health history or if I had complications during the pregnancy. Was turned away from the practice exclusively because I was choosing a delayed and selective vaccination schedule.

I called a few years later after my pediatrician moved out of the area and my son had received more vaccinations and aged out of some. I never heard back. I later learned BCBS gives pediatricians bonuses of up to $40,000 annually to doctors who have a high percentage of fully and on schedule vaccines for infants. In any case-its OK. I'm just appalled that someone would openly discriminate against someone doing what is best for their child because of a bonus.

My child is now in grade school-has been on antibiotics once-ironically shortly after one of his vaccinations-is healthy and doing well. Maybe they only want sick children which gives them more money?

Been going since my son was a newborn. The Doctor's are wonderful. They all always take their time and are very gentle with him. They make sure any questions or concerns are answered or taken care of. Also, The nurses and upfront staff can be a little offputting sometimes. But, anytime ive called they've been great about scheduling and getting me in that day, when my son had ear infections or the flu. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely love this practice. From the first visit in the hospital when my son was born to 6 months now, everyone on the staff has treated us so kind and with the utmost professionalism. I trust the doctor's advice and diagnoses, completely. And Dr. Gotthold's podcast is pretty interesting to boot!

We LOVE Delaware Pediatrics the Appo office. Everyone is so nice and I never feel judged or shamed for my beliefs. Sick kids are seen as soon as possible. For new parents, they're great because their on-call doctors get back to you quickly and understand when you're in freak out mode! I interviewed them while I was pregnant before choosing. They took about an hour just for me - free.

The receptionist always seems to have an attitude. Some of the nurses smell like cigarettes. The doctors are wonderful and I would like to tell them about their staff however when I called to make an appointment today, I was placed on hold for 5 minutes before being hung up on. This isn't the first time I have had issues scheduling appointments. Once I had to take my daughter to a walk in ER because I kept playing phone tag with the doctors office. It really shouldn't be this hard to schedule a sick visit. It's a shame because I really do like the doctors, but the staff has made it difficult for me.

Fantastic office! So convenient that they do rounds at Christiana to do the newborn checks, and then it's a seamless transition to their office. They're not quick to give antibiotics, which I really appreciate, and they require vaccinations- which I LOVE. Very clean office, everyone is friendly, I've never had a problem getting a same day sick appointment for my daughter.

The doctors are very knowledgeable, genuine, and attentive. The other office staff (medical assistants, nurses, admin) are ALL EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNCARING! I wonder if the doctors are aware of the disrespectful manner in which their staff behaves towards patients and parents. My son had a 103 temp and ear infection, the ma or nurse Denise kept giving me the run around, telling me it was a virus that would pass. Two days later he was seen and had an ear infection. The doctors are great, but the other staff needs to be replaced.

I have been taking my children here for several years with no problems with the Doctor. The nurses and staff on the other hand leave something to be desired. I took my daughter in for a well visit not too long ago. She had a cough so out of courtesy we waited in the sick area for the scheduled well visit. When she was seen the nurse noticed her cough and wrote a prescription and said it was my choice if I would use it or not.

On the way out I stopped at reception to make sure I did not have a bill. The lady at the desk said 'there is no charge for your well visit'. Two weeks later I find out I was charged for a sick visit and the insurance company was billed for the well visit. Over the phone the office has no desire to straighten things out even though they were the ones who told be we were not being charged for a well visit.

On a few other occasions we would show up for a 1 or 2 o'clock appointment and not be seen until 30 minutes after we arrived on time. It does not seem they respect others time but they sure do bill for every second that they put forth. Update: Office manager called and waved the fee. I guess they realized what they were doing was wrong?

Signed up with this practice 8 years ago. Now the doctor is impossible to see. I made an appointment months in advance just to have them call me a month before the appt to tell me that they have to reschedule because the doctor is going to be on vacation. My only choices are to see another doctor I have never met, take time off from work and my daughter from school or to wait two months for the next available appt that is a convenient time for me.

Front staff was rude and refused to work with me. Even when you get a time to see the doctor, you wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes and in the back room for another 30 minutes. Time to find a new doctor that cares about the kids and their parents who bring them there!

I came here to leave a review about the front desk ladies as well and I am not surprised to see someone has already left a review here about how rude they are. I see that reviewer posted a year ago, well nothing has changed in that year. They are still pretty darn rude! Not just that, but uncaring. Definitely not warm or friendly in any way. The nurse we saw, as well as the doctor, both tried to bully me into getting my daughter a vaccine she had already had.

Our old doctor accidentally did not transfer the full file so I later got the records and was very glad they did not push me into re-vaccinating her! The office hours are terrible, they have long wait times, and this is NOT a family friend practice (despite being a pediatricians) as demonstrated in many of their policies and demeanor.
