Dr. Patel attended University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC for his undergraduate studies in Biology. He completed his medical school training and received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina.

For some reason I could not write a review for Tricity in West Cary. Let me be the first to say, Dr. Patel and his front desk staff are very couteous, professional and most importantly compassionate! The best thing here is, they are located down the street. Finally, a great clinic in the area who dosen't see $$$ and is more geared to making people feel better again. Thank you Dr. Patel for taking care of our community in West Cary. I will be referring my family, friends and co workers!

Update: I received a check in the mail from this establishment, returning the "deposit" that was made to book the appointment. I do appreciate that they returned the amount and would like to acknowledge that. --------------------------- Beware of rude receptionists and weird money making ploys! I called this clinic to make an appointment for a physical examination.
The receptionist on the phone asked for my credit card number and breezed through something about the fact that I can change the appointment when I want --- never once mentioning that I would not get my money back if I cancel. It felt like they quickly wanted to get my money somehow while saying the minimum words necessary to not be liable later. I later found out that this clinic charges at least 120 dollars more for the same examination than many other clinics in the triangle area!
After I had booked an appointment with a different (much better) clinic, I called to cancel. I was then told that I will not get my deposit back. When I asked for an explanation about why should I be paying for an appointment I will not be going to (mind you, they had a lot of vacant slots the whole week), the receptionist just hung up. I called 4 times after that, she did not pick up.
I called a fifth time using a different phone number. The receptionist then picked up the call. Caught in a bind, she then decided to pretend to be someone else, while later admitting it was the same person all along. This clinic, charges an extraordinary amount for a simple physical examination and, then requires a deposit to book your appointment, just in case you later realize it and try to cancel.

BEWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES They will make you sign a really long paper and one thing you sign is that you are aware there is a fee for certain hours of the day and weekends, but then they will schedule you for those hours without telling you (or reminding you) that there will be an extra fee. They scheduled me for a telemed phone visit that lasted 1 minute where the doctor said "Let's try a different medication since this one isn't working, it'll be at the pharmacy soon. Goodbye" and I got charged $23 extra for that!
When THEY scheduled me for a weekend visit and didn't tell me even PHONE CALL "doctor visits" (if you'd even call it that) were still included as an extra fee. I asked when the "NEXT AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT" was and they scheduled me for a measly $43 phone call for an under-qualified and unprofessional doctor to prescribe meds that didn't work. I've been taken advantage by many doctors because I suffer from chronic pain that doctors profit heavily off of because I am young and they think they can slide things past me to make an extra dollar. I am tired of wasting money I don't have at "Doctor" offices that are dishonest and not in the patient's best interest.

I have been a patient of Tricity Family Medicine for over 10 years. I live in Raleigh, NC and Holly Springs is a 40-45 minute drive for me. I have never thought of going any place else for medical care. I may on occasion have to seek specialty care, from a referral from my primary care doctor at Tricity, but my primary care provider is Dr. Chaitany Patel.
He is an amazing doctor. He really cares about his patients. His patience and sincere concern for my health is what keep me going back. I am always able to schedule an appointment that works with my work schedule. Dr. Patel tells me what I need to hear instead of what I want to hear. I can't say enough about the amazing Dr. Patel. Schedule an appointment and find out for yourself. He is the best!

Love this place. They are always able to see me when I need an appointment, even on Saturdays. They also take care of my blood work, x-rays, and other medical needs such as prescriptions. I have been coming here since 2013 and will keep coming here as long as possible. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the doctors and/or the physician assistants spend quality time in assuring that all of my needs are met. I highly recommend Tricity Family Medicine.

I have been going to this practice for 2 years now and have to say it's the best primary care office I have ever been to. Dr Patel, Jennifer Sessoms and the whole staff are always nice, comforting and professional. Never in a hurry and spend plenty of time to address any issues or concerns you have. I highly recommend this office!

Dr. Patel and this facility is simply great. I couldn't have found better Primary care provider for my mother. Dr. Patel spends lot of time with his patients, he is not rushed, he explains everything in very simple terms and recommends best course of action. He makes sure all of the specialists are informed of his patients conditions and at same time regularly review their reports to make sure patient care is not impacted. This facility also has in house lab which is super helpful.
