He was born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree at the University of Iowa located in Iowa City, IA. He completed his internship, and residency at the Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency located in Orlando, FL. He is board certified in Family Medicine.
Please fill out and submit your new patient packet at least 2 days prior to your visit. This allows time for your chart to be created and information to be added. For safety purposes all minor children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. I just became a patient of Dr. Anthony Desmarais at RFM. I have been looking for a primary care doctor for years whom I trust, and I feel like I hit the jackpot. Wonderful facility, caring staff, and I am unbelievably impressed with Dr. Desmarais intelligence, , approach and knowledge. RFM has been a great experience for both my son and me.

I saw Dr. Dariano as a new patient two times during March of 2021. Each visit lasted approximately 6 minutes during which time I was not asked any questions about my general health, diet, exercise, sleep, or mental state, in spite of the fact that I was in atrial fibrillation at the first visit. This was in sharp contrast to the 45 minutes my husband spent with his new doctor who asked a myriad of questions getting to know the state of his health. I am very disappointed and will look for another doctor who has some interest in me as a patient.

I have a hard time with going out and seeing dr.s etc. It is always a wonderful experience for me. I believe I have the best Dr. Now after having a dr. I was loyal to for many years and always uncomfortable seeing. he truly wasnt good enough to see a fish I now have came to realize. DR. uragate is a great dr. In my opinion and always takes his time in making me comfortable and understanding my disabilities. I am grateful for him ans his staff for all that they have done for me thus far. I used to see my doctor once a year. Rivers required 6x a year. Prescriptions that could have been mailed, they required a visit at the cost of $45 for a 10 minute consultation. Was told if their procedures were not followed I could not renew any prescriptions even though the insurance company did not require an office visit - especially during Covid.
Follow the money. I found the staff very cold and not at all accommodating. The office is very open so clients can hear discussions in the waiting room. The facility is old and dated - does not meet the Villages high standards

Dr. Julio Ugarte is my primary physician. I need a referral to a specialist. They won't give me a referral without an appointment and I can't get an appointment for 17 days. Seventeen days to see my primary! When I have managed to get into my primary each time he recommends expensive supplements that I can only buy from a certain website after I enter Dr. Ugarte's code at a total cost for both of us over $300 a month.
I don't know if it's just Dr. Ugarte pushing these expensive supplements or if it's all physicians at Rivers Family Medicine. My husband has hip pain so Dr. Ugarte ordered an x-ray and told my husband that it was just arthritis and to take Tylenol. On his own he went to an orthopedic surgeon and was told that he needs a total hip replacement.
