Services
What are your hours? We are open Monday thru Friday - 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our telephone hours are 9 a.m. to Noon and 1:30 to 4:30p.m. What forms of payment do you accept? Co-pays and deductibles are due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard and will bill your insurance whenever possible, however, please remember that the primary responsibility for payment is yours, not your insurance company's. Do you refill prescriptions? Medication refills must be done at the time of your scheduled visit or by calling your pharmacy.
Follow these simple guidelines to keep your back in good shape. Standing: Keeping one foot forward of the other, with knees slightly bent, takes the pressure off your low back. Sitting: Sitting with your knees slightly higher than your hips provides good low back support. Reaching: Stand on a stool to reach things that are.

I saw Dr. Ratnayake and he is amazing. He makes sure I understood everything. He explains things clearly and made me feel valued and important. He explains the pros and cons and help me feel comfortable with my choice that I made. He did a microdiscectomy on my lower back in Jan 2022 and I am completely satisfied with his work. I can now walk pain-free and wouldn't be any happier.
I would recommend him to friends and family. The staff are fast at responding. When my paperwork were filled out incorrectly, I reached out to Dr. Ratnayake office and they urgently reached out to their medical office and got to my EDD paperwork.

Good doctors, but office staff is horrible. You get better service at the DMV! They never answer the phones, don't respond to messages, and don't call back when they tell you in person that they will. Would be 5 stars if the office was competent. Trying to get in contact with them is a very frustrating experience.

Dr Hembd is great. I'm sitting in the office waiting.62 minutes now. It's not like it's a bustling office where there's so many things going on. I have no idea why this is the case here. It had gotten better for a while but here we are, back to over an hour of waiting. As if my time doesn't matter. I'm about to walk out having paid my co-pay for absolutely nothing but a waste of my time.

The office and staff are amazing but they have the WORST PHONE SYSTEM. You cannot get thru. Nearly every time you try and call, you get put into the queue for 10 minutes before getting sent to voicemail. Which wouldn't be a problem except it is 2-3 days before a call back. Also, their number is somehow reported as a spam number by Apple / iPhones so your phone does not ring if they call you for spam If I didn't want to see a specific surgeon so badly, I would have gone elsewhere just based on how hard it is to reach anyone.
I have reported this several times to the staff over the past 6 months. I will be happy to remove the review when it is resolved but hope this gets the attention of someone who cares.

I had a workmans comp injury that I have been trying to get treated for over 6 months and I was sent to Dr. Sharma for a 2nd opinion. He spent an entire hour with me and it was the first time I really felt like someone was listening and giving me answers. He has several treatment recommendations which gives me hope since no other doctor has had any answers for me. Great bedside manner and very helpful staff. I highly recommend this place.

Been going to them for years now. They have the best spinal surgeons & doctors. They are kind & very cordial & treat you with respect. I had a fusion of my L5 & S1back in 2012 & Dr. Neubuerger did an excellent job. Fast forward to 2019 almost 2020 now having other issues on L4 & L3 so will see Dr. Neubuerger again. Dr. Hembd has been my doctor in between & taken care of my pain management. Love them all.

Dr Newburger has done 3 different back surgerys on my back. Thenforst fusion of my L4L5 vertebra was amazing. And this year my c1 dis herniated to the right and was pressimg on on sciatic nerve and he had to go in twice to get me releif fron pain so bad I tried taking my own life to make it stop. I recommend him 100%. Hes not very personal, but hes fair and kind. And an amazing surgeon. You can barely tell I had any back surgeries.

For some reason, a lot of these spine specialists or pain management doctors offices always seem a bit poorly run, but that is NOT the case with this place! I've even tried to see other doctors closer to my home (I hate driving to Midtown!) but I've not been impressed with their professionalism and knowledge and will be returning here. The only downside is their waiting room is small and usually packed, and their restrooms are outside the office and you need a key. But overall a good place to go where you won't be treated poorly.
