Had horrible experience, gave it three tries and I just felt like cattle. I am hard of hearing and I think possibly that frustrated her? First visit I was told I had glaucoma and set for surgery 4 days later. Second visit, after waiting 3 1/2 hours with no heat, they do a whole new visit and no surgery, treating me a brand new patient again. She ran the tanometer quite extensively, then said I didn't qualify for the type of surgery she originally thought. Gave me latanoprost drops and scheduled new visit in month and a half.
Third visit I told her the drops were really making my eyes itch/hurt but was ignored. She said we need to do the laser surgery. I asked about the fact that she said I didn't qualify? She said there is only ONE type of surgery. She was very brief with me and acted like I was pestering her when I tried to ask questions. I know others have had great experiences but that just wasn't my experience. I am afraid to get surgery from someone that I don't quite trust now.

I feel well cared for at Dr. Rettig's office. I appreciate the congenial atmosphere of their offices in both McPherson and Salina. Compassion seems to be a hallmark of their approach to patient care. They have been taking pains to keep Covid-19 protocols in force. I came to Dr. Rettig primarily because my previous Ophthalmologist had less exacting measures in place. I am pleased with the care I am receiving.
