Our board certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Dan Glenn, is trained to provide comprehensive dental care for children and has been doing so at this location since 1990. At Dakota Children's Dentistry we see new patients from newborn to 12 years old and established patients until age 18 years old. Since the cavity process can start at a very young age, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child start regular dental check-ups by 12 months of age, or within 6 months of getting the first baby tooth.

The Amierican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendeds the first dental check up at 1 year old or 6 months prior to the first tooth erruption. Regular check ups help you child stay cavity-free and it is important for your child's dental growth and development to be monitored. We recommend children under 3 years old to come in for a dental check-up once per year; children 3 years and older should have a dental check-up twice per year. Our goal is to help make you child's dental care as easy, comforable, and enjoyable as possible.
At Dakota Children's Denistry we have digital radiographs, allowing the staff to use a frcation of the raditation that would be necessary for traditional x-rays. Dental radiographs are generally taken around the age of 4 or 5 years old when spaces between the back molars close and Dr. Glenn is no longer able to see between the teeth with the naked eye.
If your child is anxious about dentistry, medically compromised, or faces developmental challenges, we are an excellent choice for his or her dental care. Our training, experience and dedication will help your child receive quality dental care in the manner best suited to their needs. Dr. Glenn has special training in helping children with special needs feel secure during dental treatment.

My 3 year old had a wonderful first trip to the dentist here. The entire staff were friendly! My 1 year old boy was also seen after knocking his front tooth loose. He needed it pulled. It was quick and well done, and he healed up in no time. Sad circumstances for my little guy, but we were in great hands.

My son and I like the office, hygienist and Dr. Glen are fantastic. They are very informative and interact well, and made my son feel comfortable. So, definitely that we will come back. Don't take me wrong when I give this place 1*. Here is why: First, my concern is when I reached the reception desk they asked me to fill out paperwork (which I did already but not enough obviously) and to manage my son in the reception area in the midst of COVID pandemic.

I'm not comfortable filling out the paperwork without reading it carefully. I would like to be able to read and fill out the information online before I was in the office. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to do everything before hand so I could mind my child in the reception area make sure that he didn't touch anything. Second, my son is one and half.

The reason I do not take him to a regular dentist but the CHILDREN dentist because I hope they will treat the kid nicely, more empathetic for kid juz being a kid running around ( i got it - we are in the midst of COVID pandemic, I know what ur worried about by telling me to keep my kid by my side not to let him run around and touch other table or chair while another front desk trying to show me how to check in online). 2 front desk ladies are not friendly at all, but rude.

All they made me do was finishing the checking online n pressing me to hold down my child at the same time. GREAT! I love to hold my child down at the public place if I got my free hand doing that. I would suggest this place to get the guest check in online before they get there or at least having somebody friendly, understandable, flexible working at the desk. Regards,

Thank you for helping my son when he was in pain. You were able to get him in the next day when it seemed like no one else could help.
