I came early to see if they could see me early. But they couldn't. I left and came back. I was still early but I was allowed to sit in the waiting room until they could check me in. It was very HOT outside. When I got to see the doctor, she explains in detail what my MRI showed. I was relieved that it wasn't anything serious. The nurses and receptionist are very friendly and caring.

I went in for as a new patient and for my first Wellness check in a while. The receptionist was helpful and the nurse was so warm and nice. I wish remembered her name. I saw Dr. Dianne Haynes. She's very knowledgeable, but if you're someone who prefers a warm doctor who is reassuring she is not for you. She is in and out. I trust that she knows her stuff, but after telling her I haven't gotten a wellness exam in a while and expressing my nervousness I didn't receive ANY instructions about how I'd receive my results or what to expect next.
I had to ask to the front desk after the fact. After the doctor saw me, she never asked if I had any more questions for her, which I did. I had told the nurse I have very painful periods and wanted to discuss that with the doctor but after Dr. Haynes did my exam and I got dressed she never came back in to speak with me. I told her I had a photo I wanted to show her (period-related) and she had me come over to her while she was working on the computer to show her.
She didn't seem very open for a discussion so I went back in the room and waited for the nurse. I am giving 3 stars instead of less because the nurse was SO sweet and gentle. I loved her and she's the only reason I'd give this place another shot. I'll just book one of the doctors that I hear other ladies seem to like. Ultimately, I believe finding a good doctor for you is like finding a good friend.
Not everyone is for everyone. This place is worth the try but don't be like me and go for the doctor that has the most available slots at the time of booking without checking reviews. Try and find what people say about your possible doctor before booking so you have a better chance of getting someone who aligns with your personal preferences.

I have been going here for a while. Regular check up and trough a pregnancy. So when I say I'm okay never returning. It's after having worked with many of the doctors all 3 locations and with surgery. Here's my thing. They will get the job done. They will be cool about it. But really.that's it. Don't expect a relationship where they know you, respect and understand you.
It really feels more routine then that. One of the many nurses was amazing and one of the midwife's. Outside of those two gems I am okay saying I do not recommend here if you want personalized understanding.

Not coming here again. I had an 8 am appointment, and arrived about 10 mins early. As I was in they say, we're not open yet in a rude way. Ok- so I wait outside in the cold while employees come in at 8. Why schedule me for 8 if that's when employees are coming in? The gynecologist was not warm or receptive. The process was painful. During the procedure they forgot a tool, and I had to lay with my legs spread open and the process was very uncomfortable.
The gynecologist did not warm me that the procedure would be so painful. Otherwise I would have taken pain medication. Not professional or warm. The only good part was the CNA who seemed professional and listened. I will not be back. There are many other places in the area to go to and I will choose a better one.

Wonderful experience, the front office worker was kind and went over and beyond by bringing my paper work to me. The nurse was patience and patient. Dr. Johnson was awesome. She listened to all I had to say. Calmed my fears. She also patiently answered all of my questions. I'm so grateful for doctor's offices like the Women specialists near my home.

I love this office, short wait times, everyone including the front desk is extremely nice and patient. The only small issue is I see different nurses and doctors every time so it's hard to build a relationship with the people you started with since you'll be with them throughout your pregnancy. Other then that I love it here.

I had a follow-up appointment today to discuss a medication that was prescribed. My appointment was at 9:00 am and I got to the office at 9:02 am. I was quickly checked in and brought back to check my vitals and placed in a room to wait on the doctor. I WAITED FOR OVER AN HOUR! After waiting for about 40 minutes I walked out of the room to ask the nurse for an update.
She informed me that the doctor had a follow-up ahead of me and now the doctor was with another patient. She informed me that I would be next but after waiting another 30 minutes the doctor still had not come to my room. I did not receive any updates during the time I was there except when I stepped out of my room to inquire. It was not until I informed them that I had to leave because I had another appointment I was now late for that someone asked if I wanted them to TRY and see if the doctor could talk to me.
There was still no guarantee that the doctor could see me then but it was the first time someone even offered to check because I was now leaving. The BLATANT disrespect of their patient's time is unacceptable. As many other reviews state, time is always an issue with this business but I continued to support them because it is a black owned business.
However they are not supporting or respecting their patient's time and therefore they have lost my business. I still have not had a follow-up with the concerns I have regarding my health and my body.

I have to agree with the other one star reviews. They keep you waiting very far past your appointment time. So you better not have to go back to work. The staff is too busy laughing, talking, and playing to keep the doctor on schedule. And when he's behind, you'll pay for it big time. Also he'd rather dismiss your concerns as a patient instead of listening to you. Don't know what it is about the doctors around here but their know it all attitude is awful. Yes, you have treated many patients but each patient is different.
This doctor is also too busy trying to get you back into the office to prescribe a medication -- more proof that he doesn't listen. Can't I weigh my options first? The answer is "no." You'll get a call urging you to schedule another appointment. Oh, and you won't leave without knowing that he does all the surgeries when all the women OBs "can't figure it out." The business can respond to this all they like, but they really shouldn't bother. It's no good and I wish I didn't have to experience it myself before learning someone else's honest opinion. Could have saved me a huge headache.

I had a very rude encounter with the receptionist at the Decatur location this past visit. One of the receptionists told me I had a balance due, and could not give me an explanation regarding it came from before my visit. Following my visit, as I am checking out, the first thing that comes out of her mouth is "you owe me some money". I found the way she spat the comment out very offensive.
She gave the reasoning for my balance to be that I was not insured at the time of my previous visit. I told her this didn't make sense given that I had paid my copay at time of visit, that I was insured at the time and that I was not going to pay the balance. She required that I call my insurance before I left (this should be handled by billing).
As I did so, her and the other receptionist proceeded to talk over me as I'm trying to get the information that she requested, so much so that I have to raise my voice so that the customer service rep can hear me. You are adults, you should have more courtesy than this. I hand her my phone to speak with the representative, who confirms that my insurance coverage has not changed since January, and that this is an error on billing's part.
She gave me back the phone to write down the information that she should have written down herself, as it was for her use, and she was the one requesting it. She did not apologize for her error, or her passive aggressive behaviors. Not once was I rude with her, despite her rudeness. You are the first encounter people have when coming into a visit.
People will never be satisfied with their service if any part of their visit is distasteful. Be mindful of the way you talk to and treat people, as it reflects on the whole practice, and not just yourself. Also, you need to keep your mask on during your interface with clients.

They only care about getting your money. I mentioned something in my first risk that would put me in the high risk category and the MW did not notate it until I questioned it two months later about why I wasn't receiving ultrasounds and more attentive care. they don't listen to patients or care and it's sad. I also requested medical documents to be faxed last Friday and it's Tuesday and still nothing. Ridiculous. They sit around more than anything. I'm looking for a new doctor ASAP.

I guess I finally learn my lesson with this clinic. I had issues with them before in regard of they lack bof professionalism. I came to to see Dr. Trudy More to a week ago for an UTI. She gave me 3 prescription to treat the problem. She told me that she was not sure is the antibiotics will work. But to try them anyway and to let her know. I took the treatment.
I was fine like for three day them the symptoms came back even worse. I try using the portal to communicate with the Dr. But it did not allow me for some reason. I called and left a message on the nurse line given her de details of what was going on with me. No one call me back. Today I call back early and spoke to the receptionist Samantha and she try to help me by transferring me to this person Ebony.
This person had such a terrible attitude. She was hearing but she was not listening to a word I said. Her lack of compassion was so tangible. She make me feel like I was bothering her. I think she is in the wrong field. And the end of the conversation after going back and forth she told me she was going to transfer me to the nurse. In other words this was going to be the third person I was going to be transferred too.
No one answered the phone. You guys won't have to worry about me coming back there. Oh. I forgot to mention that after my visit I send them a great review not knowing that after that they was going to act this way.

I wish I could leave zero stars. Had 3 appointments at this place and every time (I'm always 5-10 minutes early to my confirmed appointment, If not more) I wait for at least 45 minutes to be called back. At my second appointment I waited over 45 minutes and then a nurse came and got me and weighed me, etc. and then I sat in the exam room for another 45 minutes (during which I heard one of the nurses use the R word at the nurses station).
Have some respect for other people's time. What is the point of making an appointment at 10:00 if I'm not going to be seen until 11:45? My doctor then came in and introduced herself to me (this was my second appointment with her). Five minutes later she forgot my name and I'm supposed to be comfortable with her as my doctor? Nope. Do your research and stay far away from this place.

I certainly wish that I had checked Yelp before I decided to chose this practice for my first yearly exam in Atlanta. The excessive wait time, the foul language used by the receptionist (Lola), the staff chit chatted the entire 1 hour I sat in the waiting room, a patient arriving 35 minutes after me being seen first, to the unapologetic staff it was by far the most horrific experience.
I wouldn't recommend this practice to my worst enemy. My Facebook review wasn't approved to post but I will use every social media outlet I use to deter new patients

I've been to all 3 DeKalb Women's Specialist offices for my OB/GYN care and had positive experiences throughout! The staff is very caring and the providers listen to my concerns. Any additional time I spent in the waiting room was well worth it with the bright smiles and exceptional bedside manner I received. Knowing Dr. Scott's years of experience reassures me that my health is in capable hands. The aromatherapy machine in the Stone Mountain office is very relaxing!

Zero stars. This establishment from the bottom to the top is incompetent and uncaring. I needed an appointment because a family member was recently diagnosed with a life threatening disease and I wanted to get checked out. After arriving 20 mins early, I waited 30 mins to be called bk then to only Be put in another freezing waiting room half dressed for an additional 45 mins for my exam.
A couple weeks later I was sent my results via patient portal. Then they called to tell me that I needed to come in for additional results. After much worry and stress for the two more additional weeks it took them to get me another appt, I drove to the Stone Mountain office and was charged for an office visit where they gave me the same results that I already knew.
Thanks for wasting my time and money. They messed up my billing and tried to schedule me with a surgeon that wasn't even covered in my insurance plan. The "scheduler" called me two different times after I left a series of calls to get the appointment made only to forget who I was each time. She even called to confront me about my past messages after she had already made the appointment for me.
I politely told her that she had corrected the problem to which she said "cool". I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this office. After being diagnosed myself with a possible life threatening issue, I was met with nothing but uncaring, uninterested staff and that was when I could reach one of them because most of them won't even return a call at all.to.this.day. Please save yourself the stress and disrespect that this office will undoubtedly give you.

I am very unhappy with this place. I have been 3 times and never met the doctor. Her nurse was incompetent and we had to stop a procedure and they billed me anyway which is fine. Major dissappointment: had an ultrAsound done and paid for it. They have been giving me the run around for 8 months. I still do not have results. They took my money and have not returned calls regarding this. And they care about women's heAlth! Ha! Lol

I had an ultrasound and the tech (I think her name was Kaycee) was so nice at explaining what she was looking at. She went out of her way and gave lots of good pics of my babies face and even texted them to my phone so I could share with my family. They offer 3D ultrasound at a good price so I will be back!

Stay away from this place! Red Flags from the time I walked in! The N Decatur location has very unprofessional employees. My ultrasound tech was rude and acted as though I was bothering her. She even ignored me when I asked if my husband could be in the room. The rest of the staff, same deal and very unenthusiastic about their jobs. I had to ask to phlebotomist what she was getting ready to do.
She treating me like I was on an assembly line. Do you not explain to patients what you are getting ready to do let alone who you are or even say hello? Spoke with a young lady in the business/financial office regarding my bill and her attitude was the worst of them all. ( wish I could remember her name so I could post it)It's awful! Needless to say I won't be back. Worst place I have ever been and would NEVER recommend them to anyone not even my worst enemy. RUN!

Throughout this pregnancy, ive really grown to hate this practice. You can literally NEVER get through when you call. Seriously, call like 15 times and a row and no one ever answers. Thats upsetting when youre trying to reach your docs office. Thats not the worst part tho, their appointments routinely run 90mins to 2 hrs behind. Its just so inconsiderate of peoples time.
And lastly, you can be seen by anyone midwife, doc, or nurse practitioner and of all that i've met, only 2 i'd care to see again. One of the female docs has a horrrrible bedside manner. If i werent so far along, i'd be switching docs

Would give zero stars if I could. Worst, most humiliating and stressful experience I have ever had with an OB-GYN. Showed up five minutes early to my appointment and sat in the waiting room for half an hour. When the nurse finally brought me in, she sat me down to do the normal check-up routine. I told her what was going on and how worried I was (having been possibly exposed to some scary stuff) and she laughed in my face, asked if I'd been spending too much time staring at my lady bits with a hand mirror, and walked out of the room.
No joke. By far not the worst of the experience though. I had to get a full blood panel done, testing particularly for HSV 1&2 and hep-C, which I was most worried about. They drew four vials of blood, and told me I'd get results back in two weeks. They scheduled another appointment for me to come in and get said results. A week later they emailed me my results- except for the particular tests I had specifically asked for.
So I wait another week, and go back in to find out these results that could have a huge, life-changing impact for me. I'm terrified. I go and sit in the waiting room for another half hour. The nurse brings me in and I wait for twenty minutes in the doctor's office. Finally she comes in, and reads me. The same results they had emailed to me a week earlier.
I try to keep my calm, and ask about the other, more important results. The doctor looks confused, clicks around some on the computer. "Well. I don't know. It appears the lab made a mistake. The results aren't in the computer." She makes a call to LabCorp, who confirms that they do not have results. I am crying in anger and dismay at this point, having waited on pins and needles for two weeks to find out my results.
The doctor keeps blaming the mistake on LabCorp- all the while it is incredibly obvious that she had forgotten to place the order for the test when I came in originally. She ends up drawing ANOTHER FOUR vials of my blood to re-order the test, which I had to wait another week to get results for. Long story short- my results came back negative, hallelujah!
But I so wish I had saved myself the stress, humiliation and anger, and gone through a fast and super-efficient site like STD Express, or found myself a lovely, caring OB-GYN who would have helped me out in a difficult time. Will never return, and I suggest you avoid at all costs.

I'm very disappointed. After viewing the website, I was ready to switch my prenatal care over to them from Emory. The first time I called, the lady I spoke with was extremely rude and acted annoyed that I had questions for her about the practice and type of prenatal care services offered. She then advised me to go to my next few appointments at Emory and not to bother making an appointment at Dekalb Women's Specialists of Decatur until I had all of my medical records in hand (At all other doctor offices I've been to, including for me and even my daughter's pediatrician, the new office requests the transfer of records).
The second time I called I was quoted a wait time of 1 min. I waited on the phone for 26 minutes until a lady answered and asked me to hold longer. She never returned to the phone, so I hung up after it had been 35 min. Third call was just like the second. I GIVE UP!

Stay away! Dr. Reynolds was very nice and knowledgable, HOWEVER it was everything else. My appointment was at 8AM, and I was the first one there. I had to wait outside until 8:10 to go in, and THEN I waited until 8:50 to be seen by the nurse. I went for my annual and had some pain in my abdomen. The lady that took blood, was nice but didn't know what tests to take. AND then, it has been two and a half weeks and I still haven't heard ANY RESULTS from my blood work or PAP Smear! Dr. Reynolds said they will call in 3 days with the results. WHAT?!?!? I don't even want to try to call them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM AGAIN! Very unprofessional - not sure how they even run this business!
