The best of this office left with Laura. In my time as a patient, I have experienced rude staff and incompetent staff. Not once have I ever even spoken with ANY of the doctors. If Laura had not been so awesome, that alone would have bothered me. Management would best be described as absent because complaints about staff members yelling, cursing, discussing other patients in earshot of everyone, and generally being disrespectful have been ignored. "Complaints" is plural because I have observed the same staff members engaging in the same behavior multiple times. My aunt introduced me to this practice and we are still patients, but actively looking for another place.

The ONLY practice I've ever known where a live person picks up a phone. Very efficiently run pra tice. Dr. Maxa is the best.

Im pretty shocked at the reviews here because I haven't had a problem since I've been going here and I seen like I'm always scheduling an appointment for something. because I'll go to the doctor for every little thing. every time I come though I always get in, wait times are not bad, clean facility, pretty friendly staff, doctors are nice thorough I've seen Corey and Kent.

When I call to talk to a doctor or nurse they are good about calling me back. There's a black lady in the lab whose super cool too. I don't have issues with payments I pay my co-pay and I'm out the way. Never received any outrageous bill from them. Most I've got was a $5 lab bill from LABCORP after blood work. Lastly, anything I've been in there for they look at it and get me right with what I need especially when I was sick before Covid was named Covid I'm pretty sure I might of had it before we knew what it was and they were the only doctor who could get me all the way right unlike a previous doctor I had seen.

Completely unprofessional office.went to have my physical, there was a nurse screaming profanities at the top of her lungs.not sure why she was upset but there is no excuse when you're around patients for that language. Avoid this place like the plague unless you like hearing violent and hateful words whilst you sit for your appointment. I wont be returning until the office is more professional.who knows when that will be, but you lost a paying customer.

PA sent me for unnecessary testing. I went for second opinion and the problem was entirely something else. The office staff continously made errors on the testing order needed. My questions were never fully answered. I was sent for testing that was never explained to me. They wouldn't respond to my questions about the test results.

A patient mill, get in, get out. No customer service. No consideration for your best interest. A perfect example of what is wrong with medicine and patient care in this era. You will get 15 text messages, and a few phone calls to remind you of appointments.and then wait an hour for a morning appt b/c they practice double booking. You are an insurance number to them, and they let you know that at every milestone of schedule, being seen, and care management. I guess Best in Gwinnett awards are like participation trophies.

My family and I love Maxa Internal Medicine! The service is always exceptional and Dr. Maxa's care for his patients is second to none. I also really appreciate the long term staff in the office who knows our family and understands our needs. I continue to highly recommend this office to anyone who asks!

I really like Maxa Internal Medicine; I started seeing Laura in 2018 when I worked at the hospital across the street and even though I have moved to another hospital, I still drive 30 min to the office to see her. I don't want to see anybody else. She remembers me and makes me feel like I'm not just one out of hudreds. The office staff and MA's are always friendly and I never have issues getting an appointment, even if it's same day.

There can be a wait time, but A LOT of people use this practice so that is understandable and should be forgiven. They are very thorough and will send you for labs, imaging, or to a specialist if they can't 100% determine what a problem is. They don't just guess and send you on your way! Everything discussed during your appointment is listed on your patient portal too, which is great!

I have used my patient portal to email Laura before, about lab results that I had done at an outside facility, and she responded to me right in my messages on the portal site! It's all very convient for patients imo. Love Maxa Internal and highly suggest them!

As I have not been into this facility, I am leaving a review on how this office treats their new employees. 2020 into 2021 has been a challenge in the first place in every aspect, we need hope and faith that things will only get better, as we continue to push through these hard times. But for this facility, that is not what they are standing for. A woman was hired at this facility, 2 weeks ago, yes 2 weeks.

She was hired to do a job that did require training and support from this team. She was promised training and support. Within the time of her employment she received dirty looks from the staff, the woman that hired her did not give her the training. After only 2 weeks she was terminated, because they didn't have the time to train her. This employee left a stable job, that she worked at for 3 years, to learn and help support this office, just as she did with her prior employer.

Not only this, but we are still in a pandemic, finding those that want to work in this day in age, is hard. What this facility did, to this woman alone, they left her with no income, no support in helping train her, and left w nothing in the end, when all along she was wanting to leave this facility with the support it was needing. This facility terminated a mother, that had to come home to her 4 kids and tell them she lost her job, because "they didn't have the time to train" her.

Absolutely disgusting. This company should be ashamed of themselves. While you are out watching your son graduate, plan his party, this mother will be at home searching for a job, praying to make ends meet, because of what you did. Do not work for this employer, they only care about the staff within and refuse to help others grow. This employer is what is wrong in this country today.

I had such a great first time visit. At first I was not too impressed with the front desk team. However, Once Yolanda called me to the back my opinion has changed almost immediately. She was so personable and made me feel sooooooo comfortable. I then met with Laura Lashley who was the NP and all I can say is amazing! This was the first time in my 32 yrs where I felt like the NP was actually listening to me and showed concern rather than just blowing my concerns off.

Most of the time if your vitals are great and you "appear" to be healthy the Dr. will make you feel like it's all in your head. But no, not here! I did not feel like that at all. At the end of the appointment I met Thomas for blood work. He was phenomenal! He held a conversation with me throughout my lab visit. Such a great team in the back. I will be sending my husband and everyone else I know for a visit.
