Excellent facility, unless you are actually sick. I was provided a referral to a specialist, but twice received no notification about which doctor I had been referred. Almost a year later, I attempted to make an appointment with the doctor to whom I was referred because my health deteriorated. After several phone calls, I learn from the specialists' office that referrals are only good for 3 months.
That's on me, for not making an appointment in a timely manner, no question. However, I attempted to get a 2nd referral, but Dr. North is apparently out of the office this week, and these doctors apparently don't cover for each other. So, I'm told it will be approximately 8 or 9 days before I get the referral to see a specialist for Crohn's Disease flare. At least I can always go to the emergency room. The staff at East Jordan has an underwhelming amount of compassion. Nice job, people.

Darn shame that Joelle left to pursue other opportunities. Was greatful for her expertise. As far as the other folks there I had to ask myself if I could trust someone else with my heart issues and now other health issues. I'm with another health care provider. Good looking place but won't trust my health care to just anybody who hasn't met my criteria.
Can really tell it's a government dependent and operated business. 2nd rate staff and a 3rd world facility. Low budget means lower quality. Good place for others just not for me. I care about myself to much to stay there for my health care.

Ive went to this clinic since I was 4. I'm 33 now. (Minus a small stint of time I moved away) i trust this clinic and feel comfortable here.its like coming home in a way. The only thing that bothers me is the 15 minute appt thing. I would perfer to do dual appointments like my doctor let me and mom do down state when i moved away. It made things easier.especially since i live on the other side of petoskey and its a hassle to schedule mine and my sons appointments seperate. Id like to walk in and have them call us both back. Dr talk to him, then me, and not have to come back a week or two later. But its hard to even get 2 appts back to back.id suggest they do family appointments. Oh and i love Dr North!

After 40 years of going here and trusting them with my health I have left to find a new health care provider who is on top of getting reports, test results and referrals back in a timely manner. After that many years you stay for loyalty and accept their flaws. But when it comes to your health, don't settle and make excuses for them. When you become just a number or an encounter to bill you need and deserve more.

Sat in the waiting room for an hour after my appointment was scheduled when I had arrived a half hour before my appointment. When I asked the front desk why it was taking so long she got an attitude and told me to just sit down and not to worry so I then sat there for another half hour and found out that they had double booked. Wish they handled this differently and told me they double booked when I had my appointment scheduled for months I would of just reschedule but instead I got bad treatment

They got me in last minute due to a possible emergent situation. Staff was very nice end helpful. Lots of small ideas on how to make things slightly better as much as they could. The doctor was extremely kind and took her time with me, even though it was closing time or slightly past. she was certain to answer all of my questions and make sure that I understood the answers completely. Referrals were made on the spot with backup numbers given to me in writing.
