After a pretty acrimonious divorce, the last person you want to trust with your eyes is your ex husband, right? But after consulting with three of NYC's top Ophthalmologists, all who heaped accolades upon my ex's expertise and raved about his surgical ability (2 had their LASIK done by Dr. Norden), I felt confident I would be in the best possible hands.
My kids' joked, worse case scenario I'd own half the practice. Or at least the cool tropical fish tank in the waiting room.; )) Humor aside, I've enjoyed perfect 20/20 vision my entire life - no glasses, no contacts. About 6 years ago when I hit 26 for the second time I started needing reading glasses, each year needing stronger ones until I was at +2.75.
These past few months during COVID and wearing a mask, I couldn't deal with the annoyance of my glasses constantly fogging. I bit the proverbial bullet and set up a consult with my ex, Richard A. Norden, MD. From the moment I called for my initial screening, to the follow up visits months after, the entire process was flawless: The warmness, follow up and professionalism of the staff, techs and yes especially Dr. Norden! Dr. Norden performed my blended vision eye surgery, and it truly is amazing how easily I can switch from reading the tiny font on my new(!) I had my free consultation and Lasik surgery on January 25th. Everything went well. I can see after 14 years of wearing glasses. The office staff is very nice, and the Dr. Norden is wonderful, thorough, and super nice. I have no complaints other than this. It is now 2 months post-op. I was scheduled for my 1 month post-op on March 2nd, but the office cancelled my appointment due to a Doctor's emergency.
I was advised to call back after 3/15 to reschedule. It's now almost a month since my originally scheduled post-op appointment, and the office is STILL CLOSED. No one answers phones or returns messages. I'm quite disappointed in how the office staff is handling this. I am confident this will be fixed, but I'm very frustrated.

I had a fantastic experience at Norden Laser Eye. I felt extremely comfortable with the entire process. Dr. Norden and his staff were kind and patient. During my consultation, Dr. Norden patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. I was able to see 20/20 within 24 hours of the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Norden and his practice.

Dr Norden and his staff are incredible, professional and Trustworthy. My LASIK experience started at LasikPLUS where I felt like I had just walked into a used car dealership that was trying to push a lemon on me with an extended warranty. I was very hesitant to make an appointment with them and I am glad I went with my gut. The next day I made an appointment with Norden Laser and the following Monday went in for my free consultation.
I felt so at ease with Adina and Dr. Norden that I made my appointment that day for later in the week. Well here it is 24 hours and 20/15 vision later and I am smiling ear to ear. The procedure was painless and Dr Norden and his team were flawless. My only complaint is I didn't do this sooner. If there were ten stars to give I would. Thank you very much for my perfect vision!

I absolutely loved my experience with Dr. Norden. First, the staff is very helpful and accommodating. They worked around my schedule and then helped me with my nightmare insurance paperwork (which my insurance was pretty annoying I must say) then payment of procedure, they will work with you to get it done. Finally, the procedure itself was not only a breeze but my nerves were all over the place and they helped put me at ease. My follow ups are phenomenal my vision is better than perfect could not be happier. Thank you to everyone at Norden Laser Eye Associates!

I was referred by a friend to Norden Lasik. I had contemplated it for many years and never thought I could afford it. I decided to sign up for the consultation just to get the information. I arrived at the office and was greeted very warmly. I was taken step by step through various tests prior to visiting with Dr. Norden. While I waited to see Dr. Norden, I was given a fresh cup of coffee and freshly baked cookies!
Never had that happen before! I was greeted by Dr. Norden, examined, and told I was a candidate for the lasik. He explained in detail, step by step what the process was, and what the follow up would be. All of my questions were answered completely and fully. I then sat with a financial assistant who went over pricing and financing which made this whole procedure easy and very affordable.
I obtained instant financing and my appointment for my surgery was set up! It was that easy and seamless. I was so excited to finally have taken this step forward. The surgery day came, the procedure was quick, easy, and painless. I left the office with explicit instructions on how to care for my eyes, and was provided with Dr. Norden's cell number should I have any concerns over the weekend.
I actually woke up the next day with questions, and Dr. Norden answered all my concerns promptly. My eyes improved a little more each day. My follow up appointment went great and my eyes were on perfect healing target. I have just completed my second follow up and I am so pleased with my vision, and my eyes are not even completely healed as of yet.
Thank you to Dr. Norden and his staff for this terrific, life changing experience. I am a teacher and am so pleased that I had this procedure done. Reading teacher manuals is easy now!

Dr. Norden and his staff are very professional and pleasant! I was referred to his office by my friend who had laser eye surgery last year and is very happy with her results. The procedure was thoroughly explained and they performed it in under 15 minutes. They made it a seamless experience and took care care of me from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Norden!

Everything from the consultation to the post-op appointment, I consistently felt safe, comfortable, and pain free! I had been putting Laser Eye Surgery off for years due to fear. I've had terrible vision since childhood. Without glasses or contacts I couldn't even see something 6 inches in front of my face. My experience with Dr. Norden has been life changing. He and his office staff make you feel extremely comfortable, answer all your questions and every appointment has been easy. The surgery itself was unbelievable. I cried tears of joy when I was done and couldn't believe I could see!
My vision was better after the surgery than it was with glasses and contacts. One year later, still going strong and the only thing I can say now is that I wish I did this years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Norden!
