Due to the shape of my corneas I often have a difficult time getting RGP contact lenses that are comfortable and provide good vision. Dr. Lyerly took time to determine the best lens for me. Her hard work and skill deserve 100 stars!

Extremely disappointed after my first visit. Provided insurance information 2 weeks ahead of time and was told it was accepted. The eye exam went great but after the visit they proceeded to tell me I was out of network and owed them $140. Of course they don't know who told me my insurance was accepted and their insurance specialist was out of the office.

After a follow up call I find out they dropped EyeMed 2 years ago. They should notify people ahead of time they are out of network instead of surprising them at the end. All they could do was apologize but I'm still out $140 while paying for a vision plan that provides 1 free visit per year. I was going to purchase glasses from them this week but will not be returning.

Took my 8 year old son for his first eye exam today and we saw Dr. Owens. I was very pleased with the friendly staff and Dr. Owens expertise and intuitiveness as he talked my son through each part of the exam, alleviating his anxiety. Prior to this visit I had did a search online for a pediatric eye doctor and this clinic came up and had good reviews. We live about 50 minutes away but it was worth the distance I drove. I will definitely be taking my son back there and I may even switch to their practice myself.

I was looking for a new eye doctor as the one I had been going to for 30 years sold to another company and quickly went downhill. I made appointments for my child and myself. I could not be more happy with selecting this place. So far I have been for 3 appointments and by the time you sit down after being checked in, they are calling you. Unheard of at my other place ever, or any doctors office for that matter.

The staff are kind, warm, welcoming, and personable. Although I have only seen one of the doctors, I imagine they are all wonderful. I would recommend anyone to make an appointment and check them out. My child told me after we left that he loved his new eye doctor and the place overall.

In the past, it was very difficult to get a hold of this office because of their phone tree. They have fixed that and now making an appointment is just as easy and enjoyable as the appointment itself. Our daughter just had her first visit the other day and the entire staff (even the other optometrists who we were not even there to see!) made her feel safe and comfortable.

They're very welcoming and supportive. We absolutely love the whole team - from helping you get your insurance figured out to making sure your eyes are in good health, Carolina Center for Eye Care is the way to go for anything vision related.

Dr. Chris Owens and Dr Ellyn Johnson run the best eye care facility in the area if not the state. From the pre-appointment communication to the appointment with Dr Owens (who skillfully navigated me through some issues unaddressed by previous doctors) to the helpful staff in the retail lens/new glasses suite, it was really a perfect visit. I highly recommend this practice and can't adequately express how fortunate I feel to have found a practice and doctors as wonderful as those at Carolina Center for Eye Care

Great experience. They saw me on the same day when other eye doctors in the area had a 3-week-plus wait. The place is new and clean. Dr. Owens was very affable and friendly, and expertly removed a foreign object from my eye without any pain or discomfort, explaining his process the whole way. While I waited to see Dr. Owens, the other doctor (who I did not work with) was working on a small child in the room next to me. Listening in he was schoolteacher-level of good with that child. I was very impressed. Best experience I've had in a long time. Shame they don't do dentistry as well.

We (my daughter and I) had an excellent experience with Dr. Tarr this week. He took his time with each of us and made sure he answered all of our questions. He made sure to explain the recommendations I could try to help with my vision changes. He and his staff are very concerned with your vision health and have the best technology to test eye concerns that arise.

No one pressured us to purchase contacts or glasses that day, since we were both trying new prescriptions. I would recommend this practice and all of the doctors. Their knowledge exceeds any other office I have ever had to utilize.

I have been a patient at Carolina Center for Eye Care for years and have always been treated with the upmost respect! You always feel like family. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. The office is always spotless and the decor warm and inviting. The staff is very personable and extremely knowledgeable and willing to do their best to be sure you are properly cared for.

This is the best place I've ever been for eye care! I could tell the doctor genuinely cares for my eye health above all else. I never felt like they were pushy or selly. Tanya helped me pick out my glasses frames, and she took the time to compare all options with my insurance to see which would cost less for me. I really appreciated the time they took on me and that they treated me so nicely and not like just another number. Thanks guys!
