An open pneumothorax is an open wound in the chest wall area. Such a serious injury leads to the entry of air into the pleural cavity. As a result, different pressures form in it and in the lung, causing the lung to contract and stop working. It is a complicated condition, which demands operative intervention, otherwise it may cause lethal outcome or very complicated consequences.

We have been here for 2 hours in the treatment room and the team seems more interested in socializing with each other than treating patients. Twice I have had to request attention of the physician for my father who is 90 and in pain. Very disappointed in the the disorganization of this place. When they finally went to treat his wound they had to the items needed were not stocked in the cabinet. Crazy part, they were not busy with other patients.

I would put zero stars if I could. My 22 year old daughter was seen by Dr Paula Mayan, diagnosed with Mononucleosis and prescribed 3 days of medicine, The 5th day, she was in excruciating pain and could not talk so I called the nurse on her behalf to let them know about her state and get more medicine. I was told at this time that there was nothing else they could do for her and there was no need for her to come back but just wait!

She was in so much pain so I took her to a different Urgent care center. The doctor was shocked to see the prescription of steroids for only 3 days and commented "it is like peeing in the ocean". He prescribed 10 additional days of medicine. I called them back to let them know about the outcome and was told that all doctors are different and that, at their center, some doctors don't even prescribe medicine for mono! Scary!

Why would anyone in pain would spend a lot of money in copayment to be sent home with a diagnostic and no pain relief.? I strongly recommend you NOT to waste your time and money with this center.just drive a few miles away to MedExpress where a wonderful staff will welcome you and treat you with adequate medical care.

I have been to this clinic several times and I am not sure why I go back. I took my husband there once and they told me he had to go to the ER since they thought he had torn tendons.of course, he didn't. The funny part of this one was when I got to the ER and told them what happened they bought a Dr. in that was part owner and was embarrassed and apologetic.

Then I brought my mom in for stitches. Wouldn't touch her either. Today I went and told me they could't help me because I supposedly owed them money, in which I do not. Not to mention, they called me first and tried to talk me out of coming due to the equipment they do not have nor do they give out pain pills, which I never asked for. I guess the moral of the story is, if you need to be seen, go somewhere else. Such a sham since they have a great location.

Both my husband and myself have gone to this urgent care facility. We have always been treated with respect and care. Yes, we have waited, especially during season - don't forget there are a lot more people here then. We certainly feel it is much better than going to the ER. I think they do an excellent job, no one or one thing is ever perfect.

My 18 year old, college student daughter went in this morning with stuffy and runny nose with a lot of nasty production in her nose and throat as well as a productive cough. She told the doctor her ear was clogged and couldn't hear as well from the clogged ear. She had a low grade fever and felt miserable. She waited an hour and a half and was told there were still 3 people ahead of her.

The front desk staff is the only reason I give them a star at all! They said to call first and come back at 4:00. They were very kind and professional. She went back at 4 and saw the doctor who was immediately arrogant and dismissive. The exam was not thorough, she didn't feel her lymph nodes, which were swollen, barely looked at her throat and said she had a cold.

She called in a cough medicine and nose spray. My daughter did not feel as though she was properly cared for and left feeling less than satisfied with the care, or lack there of. I called and said how disappointed I was and the doctor told me she had an upper respiratory infection with a little fluid in her ear. That's a lot more information than was given to my daughter.

I told her she should have treated her with the same respect that would be given an adult. An upper respiratory infection is a bit more than a dismissive, oh you have a cold. Very slim chance she will be going back there again.

Took my wife there and we were greeted by many flu patients who were waiting too. Masks were available and we moved with wonderful speed. Pleasant and very competent people at every turn. We will certainly use them whenever necessary.

Today I had to take my wife in because her wrist hurt her. Turns out it was fractured. The entire staff was helpful from the minute we signed in right up to the sign out when leaving We only waited a short time in the lobby and then were seen by techs working for the Doctor. Very quickly she had X-rays taken and it was determined that she had a fracture.

We were given all the information of what to do next and where we needed to go. My wife had a cast put on to protect her wrist from further danger. While there I got to see Dr Nguyen. She remembered me from a previous visit when my Down syndrome son John was there last year. She is the best Doctor I have found anywhere. I wish she could become my regular family Doctor.

She has the incredible manner of making you feel like you are being cared for properly. She and the entire staff are talented and also compassionate. I always go to this facility because I will get good treatment and can be seen way more quickly than going to my primary doctor.

I had a great experience here when feeling super ill. When I called the staff offered suggested arrival times in order to wait the least amount of time, which I really appreciated. When I was seen, the check in staff and the nurses were very thoughtful, efficient and explained what to expect. The doctor was thorough and I didn't feel rushed. Dr Nguyen saw me. The place and exam rooms are very clean.

My daughter came to visit our new home in Florida from out of state. Since I had not started my new job my insurance had a short lapse. So of course the day before she was supposed to leave she ended up in urgent care! I was nervous.without insurance I expected a huge bill and poor care. I was so wrong. Every single person we worked with was kind, genuine, and empathetic.

She had a minor procedure done to resolve problem, and the medicine that she was prescribed was effective and inexpensive. She even received a follow up phone call to make sure she was recovering well. I recommend Estero Urgent Care 100%!

Great staff and Doctor! I walked in here with my daughter after a bad experience elsewhere. The front desk heard my concerns and addressed it with the doctor before checking me in to make sure they could help me. After looking at her they confirmed that it was strep and prescribed an antibiotic. It was quick, efficient and the Dr was educated and personable! Great place! Thanks so much!
