I have been a patient of Dr. Les Sandknop for the 40+ years since I first moved to Rockwall, Tx. He has, without fail, always been there for me, as well as any sick or injured friend or member of my family. All of those experiences were positive. Years ago, when times were much different, I recall that Dr. Sandknop volunteered to provide the required physicals for the Rockwall football team (100+ members) each summer at his own time and expense. I have been going to Dr. Sandknop for over 30 years. The one big consistency has been his caring manner and wonderful treatment. There are always ups and downs with office staff with any business, but I can honestly say that I have only had one staff member that I was not happy with. That is huge because I have gone there a long time. I have always found his nurses very kind and thorough.

All the care my family and I have received from this Rockwall Family Practice has been excellent, even with our complex cases. The doctors we've seen are are super caring and smart, the nurses are all helpful and caring, and the administrators have been easy to work with. The facility is clean and comfortable. We have rarely had to wait very long to see the provider.

Very disappointing experience with Dr Lea.he told me I had the flu without testing me for it.so I took the very expensive Tamiflu stayed sick for several weeks.ended up in the hospital while on vacation in the Virgin Islands came back home early from vacation very ill only to find out that I had mono! All of this could've been avoided with a simple flu test to rule that out.
Since I am a carrier of Epstein-Barr and the Sandknop practice had that on record, we could've easily detected I had mono and saved me a $10,000 deductible plus a miserable time on vacation! I wrote a letter to the practice and have been contacted twice with no results and no remedy for my dissatisfaction with their grossly negligent treatment of my illness.

Called yesterday to make an appointment and they had an opening for today. The lady asked what I was coming in for. I told her I was referred by my psychologist for some medicine and needed a prescription. Today I show up and pay my copay, only to be told that they don't write prescriptions for this particular medication for adults that aren't in school. so apparently the adults dealing with this issue don't matter? I'm literally completely blown away by this. So, of course, they refunded my co-pay, but I can't get back the hour of time I wasted sitting in the office and filling out paperwork to be told they can't even do it. Terribly unprofessional and disgraceful really. Your staff is SOOO uninformed

Have used this office for several years for my mothers care. She recently has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and is otherwise healthy. Her insurance requires a referral for her to see her neurologist. The "lady", Barb who does the referral work has made this an unbelievably difficult process. It literally took months to get a referral after 10-20 calls into this office.
I even requested the business office manager call me, that never happened. We eventually got the referral because a friend of mine took a job at this clinic and helped me out. Now the original referral has expired, it's time for a new one. We had an appointment scheduled (6 weeks ago) for tomorrow and the neurologists office just called me and cancelled because Barb once again did not take care of the referral.
This was scheduled around school schedules and work schedules, so, not only can she blow off the patient and family, she will blow off another providers office staff. The actual clinical staff I find quite decent and have a pleasant bedside manner. But if you need something from the business office staff, forget it, that's where the problems await.
After the battle for the new referral we will be finding my mother a new primary care provider, which will be tough when you have Medicare. I can only hope we get lucky and someone else starts handling the referral paperwork. Two stars because of the trouble I have been dealing with for a year.
