Services
You have both the right, and need, to know what is causing your problem. Before any treatment is provided we will first obtain a thorough history, then perform a complete orthopedic/neurological examination, to properly diagnose your condition. We are strong proponents of using an evidence-based approach to care, and in fact Dr. Whalen has co-authored several "best practice" documents on appropriate chiropractic evaluation and treatment. We will refer you for imaging studies such as x-ray or MRI if they appear necessary.
Beverly has been with the office for over 20 years and has extensive expertise in all facets of insurance billing and reimbursement. She is happy to address any concerns you might have about financial issues. Wanda (left) is our workers compensation and personal injury coordinator. Beverly is the office manager, and Aimee (Beverly's daughter) is our always cheerful front desk patient representative.
Dr. Whalen is experienced in providing medical legal testimony for plaintiffs, defendants, prosecutors and regulatory agencies in medical malpractice, personal injury, work injuries, criminal cases, administrative and licensing board issues. He is considered an expert in workers' compensation by his peers and the State of California Division of Workers Compensation, and is an expert consultant for the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has testified on issues of boundaries, standard of care, treatment issues, billing, documentation and disability.
