When you want to see your pcp you cant. wks out to see them for an acute illness. Most of the other doctors in that clinic not good at all. Seem they dont care about your illness. An addendum on June 1st. Spoke to the nurses regarding my issue with no Direction on which way to go. Until I told them that I was going to set up camp bring my lunch until I saw my PCP.

This nurse told me finally that my doctor didn't get in till 10 a.m. which then I accepted. Cuz I knew that she had worked that day. When I got there I was greeted with a receptionist telling me I had six minutes before I could check in. I just left the area and went to the bathroom. I was immediately called back after that. Greeted by the nurse manager asking me what had happened that morning and with the incident I guess with the receptionist.

The whole issue is when you go into a place like a clinic a person is not at their very best. They're going to be basically to the point and want to be seen and to get out of there. When I was greeted with this nurse manager I felt like a child that was in trouble because of what these nurses said to her. I felt I was not in the wrong by any means.

I'm sick! The nurses need to grow some balls and accept the fact that there is sick people there and not for them. This place is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I have seen my PCP now for 20 years. Not sure that I am going back! I don't need to be scolded like a child I'm a full grown adult with grandchildren.

May God curse the burden placed on good, kind, mission field focused health professionals! It has turned a highly rated and Well administered clinic with excellent doctors and support agencies into a "is Anybody coming to work today?" warzone, Especially at night. Strapped senior living facilities send non emergency cases to ER to ease the burden of working wings of care facilities Alone!

Its just plain Evil what the Powers that Be have rained down on gifted, loving caregivers All over this Nation! Let alone the facilities in Newton Iowa! God bless the individuals who had to care for my mother every time she was shipped off to ER. Dr. Chan and Dr A. in ER gave my mother outstanding care and consideration for a 90+ great lady who took excellent care of herself to get to 90! My husband on the other hand got negative, disgruntled and totally HIPPA violation treatment in urgent care and ER this January 2022. Just like my mom did the same month.

After several times of me telling them who the bill should go to and that even if they won't pay it I have insurance through the government at federal and state level, they have not only stolen money from me by saying they would settle for less, then saying that the amount wasn't enough to pay the balance despite sending the settlement amount to get it over with and then being told today that money as also disappeared, but also receiving harassment in the form of billing statements as well as several debt collection agencies trying calling me and attempting to clear it I am on SSI AND SSDI, I don't just have very several hundred dollars to hand out even if you weren't being negligent and ignorant. Warning to all current and future patients: make sure you watch your bills and keep all payment receipts.

Dr Alexander is very vaccine aggressive with children. Was Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde. Very unprofessional and unpleasant for both my child and I.

It really all depends on which physician you visit. I go to the clinic maybe once a year on average, but (after my previous primary care physician retired) I was so impressed with Dr. Chan the first couple of times seeing him that I asked him to be my primary care provider. I have never had reason to regret that decision. The rest of my family sees Dr. Bunker, and by their reports his manner and diagnoses are always cordial and thorough. Based on our family's experiences, avoid Dr.s Cope and Alexander if at all possible. Have also had several billing issues through the years. Always resolved quickly, but still frustrating when it occurs.

Dr. Cope acts like he is the cheapest "doctor" the clinic could hire. Went there in hopes to treat my anxiety and depression and he told me it was all in my head and told me to take vitamins and sent me out the clinic, all within 3 minutes. (I waited for him in the room for about 45 minutes) He also tried to make me feel bad for not wanting the vaccine and used comments like "well it's dumb not to trust it." The clinic needs some major culture changes.

These are the doctors the community of Newton should trust, not fear because they are our only options. I must say some of them are really good people, but from the looks of all these reviews this seems to be an all around terrible culture they've built in there.

I can only give one star as there is nothing lower. The clinic administrator, one Mark Thayer has 0 customer service skills but doesn't need them because he's the boss hired by the doctors. So expect to be treated poorly!

Dr. Jolivette is absolutely the best doctor I've ever had. When he walks into the room, he makes you feel like you're his only patient. He cares about his patients and it shows in how he interacts with them. Thank you Dr. Jolivette for everything!

I had a 6 week post partum appointment after giving birth. My hospital release papers said it was at 2 pm. I got there at 1:45 to check in. The receptionist informed me that my appointment was at 8 am. I explained that my papers said 2 pm and that I would not have agreed to an 8 am appointment because it wasn't possible for me to get there that early.

At this point a nurse walked over and butted in, was very cold and uncaring, and said the doctor I was supposed to see was not even there anymore and that "it didn't matter what the paper said, it was rescheduled for 8 am." I asked why I had never received a phone call or any type of notice for the change of appointment time and after a long silence I was told they did not have an updated phone number.

I asked them what phone number they had, and sure enough they listed the same phone number that they've contacted me on for the past 2 and a half years with no issues, and it has never once been disconnected so I knew that was a flat out lie. I also used my phone (and phone number they had on record) right then to call the father of my child and explain what was happening.

The nurse then rudely announced "well I can't fit you in my schedule today, be on time for your appointments and it won't be a problem." as to place the blame on me for not telepathically knowing they changed it with no call or any notice whatsoever. An accidental mishap with a sincere apology I could have understood, but the snarky, condescending attitude and rudely blaming me for something I was 100% innocent of was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional in the least.
