Dermatology Clini

Doctor may be great but terrible customer service with scheduling and check in. I just waited a full year to get my kids in for new patient appointments with Dr. Shackelford. We were 6 minutes late because we stood at the wrong check in counter. I was told because I didn't arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork only 1 of the 3 could be seen.

They are all on the same insurance. No complicated medical histories. It took me no time to fill out the paperwork. Instead of going ahead and letting them begin appointments while I sat and filled out paperwork, she canceled them all out but one. On top of it couldn't offer a reschedule for months and months. Rigid and cold and not customer service oriented at all. We will be looking for a new Dermatology group.

Today May 3rd, 2022 I saw Dr. Martha Housholder for a melanoma spot that needed further attention. She was very unprofessional and told me it was all my fault because I used a tanning bed over 10 years ago while in high school a few times. She proceeded to barely look over my spots very quickly and would hardly let me ask any questions and then when I asked about another spot she quickly glanced at it and said it's fine and was nothing.

She then expressed her own opinion and said how I was going to die without a Covid vaccine and basically how dumb I was. She also pulled at my clothes trying to lift them up to see my spots that needed examined and could have simply asked me to remove the item of clothing instead of just acting like I was stupid for keeping it on without knowing she wanted it off.

I had never been treated the way I was today by Dr. Housholder and I actually stood up for myself as and told her I wanted a second opinion which she asked why I would need to do so and I told her I didn't like the way she was treating me as a patient and she think she did anything wrong. I will not be back and suggest you find someone who has better bedside manner and keep her personal opinion to herself than Dr. Martha Housholder. That staff was very nice though the horrible experience with Housholder.

Do not go there! Years ago, I was a satisfied patient of the Clinic. Recently when I needed to have a mole checked, I actually chose this clinic to go to. Big disappointment! I should have read the reviews before I went. The receiving rooms are filthy. The floors are covered with hair and dust. The mandatory mask you have to wear is a blessing in this place.

The reception area has the rudest people that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you're trying to call them to cancel or change your appointment, you're S.O.L.! No one will answer the phone and if they do answer, you will be on hold for 30 minutes or more. Their fault for not being accessible to you, but they will charge you for missing the appointment.

I did not have a problem at all with the nurse that attended me, BUT, I will never go back there. Who's in charge of this Clinic and why have they let the Clinic become so rundown?

Saw Dr Capper a few weeks ago. He was very kind, knowledgeable and got right to it. I highly recommend the Dermatology Clinic and particularly Dr Capper. Thanks Doc!

Dr. Stanley Capper is a wonderful doctor who really cares. I really appreciated him asking me to give him a call a week after my appt so I could give him a progress report. He is very kind and knowledgeable. Staff is super unorganized which is why I am giving a 3 star rating.

My daughter was uncomfortable to be in her under garments in front of Dr Kruse, but she has moles everywhere, so it's necessary. When he learned of this, he took great care to keep her as covered as possible during her examine. I was very impressed with the level of care he displayed with both of my children. Thank you, Dr. Kruse!

The front desk staff is so rude. They're rude when you call and rude in person. The place is outdated and the staff is cranky. Doctors and nurses are very nice, but not the front desk lady. She is bossy to the others and so rude. Appointments take forever.

Quick and to the point. VERY good prices for those on budgets. Doctors and nurses were super friendly and made you feel comfy. Front end is very "get you in and out" but very easy to work with. Will use again.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Stear clear of here! I was a patient in this clinic since 1981 under Dr H.C. Blaylock. For the last 6 yrs under a PA Kylie, she was awesome, but their billing and office procedures are the worst. They released me as a patient over a $7.30 balance they left sitting there for a year. Never sent a bill because they don't if its under $10, and they won't call you either. Then released me when I called them out on it! Just stay away! Finally another place, like I did.

The doctor was great, however, I called to cancel my appointment and the person who picked up late in the evening said okay, the day of the appointment I received a text message to confirm my appointment I texted back cancel, it said there was no appointment in existence and to try again later, and I did and there was no appointment. on the day of the appointment I received a phone call that I missed my appointment and I was charged for no showing.

I tried multiple times to get the charge taken off through the portal with the front desk and to explain multiple times to multiple people and it wasn't done. I kept getting messages about an overdue balance so 2 months later I ended up having to pay it just because I didn't want to get sent to collections for an appointment I had canceled days ahead of time, for $25.

Terrible nurses, made me feel like just a patient and nothing else but dollar signs. Doctor barely did anything. Prescribed me over the counter stuff, even after saying the over the counter stuff doesn't work. Really didn't do anything and charged me for it. Don't go there. All I went in for was some simple acne treatment and left with nothing gained. Never going back.

I am very happy with the care I get at the Dermatology Clinic. This is the practice that has helped me to be more regular with body scans and to stay on top of anything that looks suspicious. My PA is Kylie Witham and she is amazing. She is knowledgable and kind and is always supportive, even when I'm worried or confused about any changes I might see in my skin. My advice: wear sunscreen and visit the caring staff at the Dermatology Clinic regularly!

I was seen for a scalp problem. I told the P.A. about some antibiotics I had used before for a different problem and how it helped my scalp. Totally ignored me. Suggested some over the counter shampoo. Still have the scalp problem 6 months later. Was asked about the itching med prescribed, I told them it raised my blood pressure and I quit using it.

I waz told that unless I applied it to my ENTIRE body there wasn't enough steroid in the medicine to raise my pressure. Insults instead of understanding. Never mind I could be someone who is sensitive to the medicine. Won't go back.

I thought they are dermatology they know better about my skin but they did not! I paid expensive for them to treated my skin then it turned out so So bad! I am so angry with all the scars I have on my face!

Kylie Witham, PA is very kind and extremely knowledgeable, her nurse Brook is great as well! feel better getting regular skin checks and knowing they are keeping track of changes I might not notice! The clinic could definitely use an update tho!

I've been going to this facility since I was 15. Now the rest of the family uses them too. It's a very under serviced industry. If I was going to medical school - this would be my specialty as 3 months out for an exam is not unrealistic. The past 4 years our contact has been Kylie Witham, PA-C. She is excellent and throughly covers her treatments and I've seldom had to wait more than 5 minutes. thus she meets her schedule.

The clinic is severely outdated looking. Simply put, it's not her problem, but the top doctor / owner doesn't need more business and remodeling coats a lot of cash and disrupts the office flow. I've been happy with their service. Try them out Yelpers!

I had to go to my Doctor and pay a $20 just to get a referral to see these people. Once I was there I had to pony up another Copay. Upon seeing the Doctor, she completely ignored the issue with my leg and asked me to take off my shirt instead. Then removed a mole from my face that she claimed could be skin cancer, .A few weeks go by no results, but they did send me a bill for $135.

I called and wrote a letter. They didn't care. They wouldn't work with me because they said I had been seen by the Doctor. I was told "even if your issue wasn't taken care, you still owe because the Doctor had seen you". Fail. I feel nothing but scammed. It's too bad they don't care about anything but money.
