Mulvane Vision Care - Kevin Cline OD Healthy eyes are essential for maintaining good vision and preventing both common and uncommon eye diseases. When the need arises to see an eye doctor, the first question new patients often ask is, "Where is there an eye doctor near me?" Life can only be seen through clear eyes. At Wichita Optometry in Wichita, KS, we offer patients several alternatives to enhance their vision. While some patients are fond of eyeglasses, others prefer contacts. Optometrists provide essential eye care solutions to patients with and without vision problems.

Under our previous Medicare insurance last year they gave my husband trifold. He went in a few times telling them the different levels weren't right they kept saying he needed to get used to them. 1 yr later he can't read large hwy signs until he's block away but sees me blurry 6ft away and nearest vision is good less than 6 from his face. Today his prescription is less on all trifocal levels like he's been saying to them for a year!

The kicker is they want to send his $350 frames out for3+ weeks(last time was 8+weeks) but bc the frames were bought not received 1 yr ago they want to ship his frames leaving him with NO GLASSES signing a waiver saying they're not responsible if his $350 frames get damaged during ship either way, leaving us to buy new frames and new lenses to fit after they have already collected the maximum amount from his ins leaving us not only paying for new frames and lenses while they still get paid claiming no fault bc they apparently don't pay ins on the shipments unless they are new purchased!

We went to eyeglasses world they can make his new lenses in 2 hrs and he keeps his glasses till they call and say your lenses are in we drop his frames off and in 2h they are cut to fit the frames and ready at the end of our shopping day before heading the 30m home.

Terrible staff and doctors. My husband has had glocoma for over 17 years and we moved to Kansas about 4 years ago and needed to find him a new vision doctor. At first they were okay, but then they changed his primary doctor without asking to Amy Goetz. She was ok at first, when he had to have cataract surgery and procedure to lower pressure in one eye.

This past year, our medical health plan changed and they said they did not accept it and that he would have to pay for his special glaucoma testing out of pocket which was over $500 each time. He chose not to do it and just have his pressure tested at his normal yearly eye exam when our vision insurance covered. Because he chose not to have the testing done, Amy refused to refill his eye drops medication that keeps his eye pressure down.

These drops are not addictive nor a narcotic. After having to call the office and getting upset with them, she finally did refill it. Then she called him to visit about the testing and informed him she had made an appointment with an eye doctor at another clinic that took low income patients. She did this without our knowledge or consent. We canceled the appointment because we are not low income, we have insurance, he just chose not to have the extra testing done because they did not take our insurance.

A few weeks later he needed his second eye drop medication filled, and again she refused to fill it. This time when we called to deal with it they said he was no longer a patient there and that his records had been transfered to the other eye doctor she had made an appointment with. WHAT! Not only did they violate HIPAA because they never had his permission to do that, but come to find out, after a long phone call with our medical insurance, they actually do take it and Amy is contracted with them.

I would give them zero if I could. The office help was so rude and what Amy did was unacceptable. The prescription was refilled and a few days later he got a certified letter stating he had been dismissed from her office. Really?! He will never go back there and I hope anyone who reads this will stay far far away!

Been going to Dr. Klein for several years and have been happy with his service until he partnered with the Wichita Optometry Group. Since then, their customer service has gone down and when I call the Mulvane number I get someone in Wichita. They don't ever want to transfer me Back to the Mulvane office so can speak with the staff there. Lately, we've also been charged a "contact fitting" fee of $40 even though our insurance has a contracted rate with them. We will probably be switching to another optometrist soon.

I have been attending Dr. Kline for a number of years. He has always cared about my personal well being and my family. He even helped me out when my glasses broke over a weekend before a big family vacation. He took the call off hours and ensured I was taken care of. It also helps he serves in Mulvane and Wichita, so depending on work it is actually pretty easy to sneak over and see him.

The ladies up front are not the most professional or responsive to customer service.
